ParticipantHey Rex,
This thread is very old and so I will actually close this thread for now.
Please post your problem in a new thread, and include your “system information” when doing so. You can see how to include system information here → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
Thank you,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantThis could indeed be contributing to the problem.
I still cannot recreate these problems at this time, so can you please do the steps I prescribed in my above reply and let me know your findings?
Thank you,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantThank you @jared!
To be clear, can you address the following specific questions too:
1. Does this error only show up in your error logs? Or does it also display on the HTML of your site itself, like in black text across the top of the page or anything?
2. Do you notice any functionality problems anywhere on your site? Or is this just an error you notice in your log but do not notice any actual problems arising from it?
3. If this error has appeared multiple times in your log, is it appearing at the same time and/or at regular intervals? Or all different times?
Thank you!
GeorgeJanuary 12, 2016 at 1:01 pm in reply to: Recurring Events on the Same Day & Recurring Events Featured Events #1054822George
ParticipantCan you please link to the thread where you mention these things being discussed?
I will take a look at the information and address your questions here with that in mind.

As for “displaying events on one page”, I am unfortunately not 100% certain what this means but if you need to get several events on one page in a way that is not supported by our plugin by default, you would need to custom-code a solution or hire a developer to code that solution for you.
Thank you for your patience with this,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey Ameet,
I’m glad to to see you reaching out to another customer here, because it’s cool to see folks working together, but I should actually close up this thread for now since it has been inactive since December 11.
Before I do that, Ameet, would you like to post your email address here or a Twitter account name or something like that, so that if Hugh sees your questions he can follow up with you elsewhere?
Apologies to want to close this thread – I don’t mean to stifle collaboration and will thus keep this open until you can post information for Hugh to contact you with as mentioned above. But I will then close the thread just to keep things organized and timely – we usually try to close threads after two weeks of inactivity, I’m not sure why the Support Droid did not auto-close this this thread but that is the proper action to be taken here.
Thank you,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey @Jared,
Thanks for sharing this – since you are seeing this, too, then this definitely is adding some credence to the idea of this being a bug.
I am still unable to recreate this, but am wondering – can you share your system information with us anyways? It may help with investigating this. Here’s how to share that: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
I’m sorry to bear this news, but while your post here is helpful, this is a bug we still cannot recreate and so there is not any immediate action that can be taken here. I will index this in our bug system and hopefully someone can recreate it; then, we can work on a fix that will arrive in some future release.
Thanks for reporting this!

ParticipantHey @DeAnne,
There is unfortunately no magic wand 🙁
I’m curious, can you please clarify the following two details:
1. How many events are on your site, roughly? Dozens? Hundreds? Thousands? Dozens of thousands? Thousands per month?
2. How specifically are you hosting your website? What webhost are you using [please link to their site], and which “tier” of hosting are you signed up for?
There is unfortunately very little – and basically nothing – that we can do about site performance 🙁 But the information above may help me in making some recommendations for you.
Thank you in advance for that information!
Cheers,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey John,
Thanks for reaching out. We unfortunately don’t have a PDF or other specific tutorials for this, but we do indeed have an Events API class.
To learn about this class, the best thing I could recommend is to simply head into the code and read the class itself; the methods are fairly well documented. This class is called Tribe__Events__API and is available/readable in this file:
the-events-calendar/src/Tribe/API.phpI hope that class is helpful!
Thanks,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey @Sara,
This is some odd behavior for sure – can you share your system information with us so we can investigate and confirm your findings? Here’s how to do that → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
Cheers,
GeorgeJanuary 12, 2016 at 11:07 am in reply to: Recurring Events on the Same Day & Recurring Events Featured Events #1054753George
ParticipantThank you for this Josh – the inconsistency of behavior here is likely stemming from the fact that your Start Time and End Time are the same. We should be doing a better job at preventing this in the plugin, because this is not valid, and this event cannot exist.
The event starts and ends at 1pm, which means that the event is not taking place because its duration in terms of hours, minutes, and seconds is 0:00:0. So it doesn’t exist.
—
An event must have a start time and end time, and then adhere to the parameters I described in my reply above: http://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/recurring-events-on-the-same-day-recurring-events-featured-events/#post-1054158
I hope this information is helpful!

ParticipantI’m really sorry about the outcome of this thread, Scott – we will indeed keep investigating this and as soon as I can recreate the problem I will definitely be making a bug ticket and such for this.
Thank you for your patience, and for your politeness too despite the odd issue and its nullifying of the utility of our software on your site. Please let me know if you have any other questions, comments, or concerns, or if I can help with anything else.
Sincerely,
GeorgeJanuary 12, 2016 at 10:57 am in reply to: All recurrences URL shows events earlier than current month by default #1054747George
ParticipantI’m baffled by this behavior Scott, and am very, very sorry to hear that this issue persisted and that you have had to roll back! 🙁 I’m so sorry Scott.
January 12, 2016 at 10:52 am in reply to: Error message on our site regarding the Events Calendar #1054745George
ParticipantHey @Debora,
I unfortunately was not able to get to your followup yesterday – we try to get to them within 24 hours, and yesterday was unfortunately filled with our typical “big Monday surplus”, the big rush of followups after the weekend…nothing personal about not getting to your followup, it was just a matter of limited time and yours and several other followups unfortunately were not gotten to by the end of the day.
Apologies for that.

Now, as for your issues – I unfortunately had to remove the login information you posted as soon as I saw it, and have not logged into your site. I will not either, nor will anyone else on our team – we have a very strict policy that we cannot log into customer sites for any reason whatsoever.
I’m sorry to bear that news.
Can you share a screenshot of the full “Edit Event” screen for this event, the one whose tickets are not purchasable on the front-end?
To do this, go to the “edit event” screen for this event and screenshot the whole page (google how to do this in your browser of choice if not familiar; it’s simple!) – you can then share the image by uploading it to Imgur.com, Flickr.com, CloudUp.com, or any similar image-hosting site; then just share the links to those images here and I’ll take a look.
I’m sorry to recommend this if it’s a bit of a pain – but we cannot log into customer sites for any reason, so I cannot log into your site, but I am curious to see the admin configuration for that event.
Just to be clear, here is a the sort of screen I am talking about when I say “the ‘Edit event’ screen → https://cldup.com/rDZEW4J1j5.png
If you can upload an image like that for the event I linked to, it would be immensely helpful.
Thank you!

ParticipantHey @Shannon,
I’m glad to hear the code is a solution for now. As for what I wrote, none of it is to undermine the fact that we are working hard on this and other bugs – please stay tuned to plugin updates in your site’s wp-admin dashboard; if this is addressed in a specific update, it will be noted in the “Changelog”. It will also be noted in release notes on our blog, which can be found here → http://theeventscalendar.com/blog
I’ll close up this thread for now since there is a temporary solution in place – if other issues arise, open a new thread any time!
Sincerely,
GeorgeJanuary 12, 2016 at 9:48 am in reply to: Conditionally display tribe_get_venue if venue exists #1054712George
ParticipantRight on! Best of luck with your project and tinkering here – I’ll close up this thread for now, but come back any time and open a new thread if other issues/comments/questions/concerns arise.
Thank you,
George -
