ParticipantHey Joe,
I’m sorry to hear about these issues!
It looks like you got that “WPML Events Calendar Pro Sync” plugin from this page → https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/solution-for-wpml-events-calendar-pro-recurring-events-compatibility/
Is that correct?
If so, this is not a plugin we make and thus we cannot provide support for it—we do not have full compatibility with WPML at this time, and that script is just some code that a forum user wrote themselves and shared publicly. For help troubleshooting that specific script, I would recommend using the author link in the script to find and reach out to the author of that script.
Thank you,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey @Patrick,
You should be able to add limit=”5″ to your shortcodes to successfully limit the number of events that display. You can learn more about these available options here → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-widget-shortcodes/
I hope this helps!
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey Nicholas,
Thanks for reaching out!
I want to be able to display the full calendar (Photo view) on the front page of my site but can’t find a short code (or way to do this). Probably a simple thing to do, but I can’t find it.
This is unfortunately not possible at this time. 🙁 The only calendar short codes are the ones listed here → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-widget-shortcodes/
As a second point, whilst I can see how to view the full calendar from WP admin screen, I can’t seem to see the ‘Events’ Page that should display the full calendar?
There is not an actual page that renders the content at /events—this URL location is just an “endpoint”, similar to what is used for a JSON or RSS feed endpoint. It is not possible to power all of the necessary event features in a technologically sound way with a static page, so we use the endpoint method.
Let me know if this information is helpful!
Thank you,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey Christina,
Thanks for reaching out!
If you make each location have its own “Event Category” on your site, then you could filter each widget to only display events from a single event category and thus would be able to achieve the result you describe here.
This is unfortunately the only way to do this. 🙁
Let me know if this helps!
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantSorry to hear about this Jacob!
Can you share your system information with us so that we can investigate this further? I do not have this error on my site.
Here’s how to share your system information → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
Thanks!
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey Rick,
Thanks for reaching out.
• You do NOT need Events Calendar Pro.
But you do indeed need all of the following plugins:
• The Events Calendar [free]
• Event Tickets [free]
• Event Tickets Plus
• Community Events
• Community Events TicketsThis will allow for creation of RSVP ticket types on the front-end Community Events submission form.
As for the http://wpshindig.com theme, that is not publicly available for free or for sale. 🙁
I hope this information helps!
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey @imaginewebcreation,
Thanks for reaching out! Unfortunately, what you describe here is not possible with our plugins at this time. 🙁
You can only set one set one window of time in which ticket sales are possible; all users are bound to this time period, you cannot separate periods of time for different users and such.
Sorry to disappoint!
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey Lucy,
“Event Calendar WD” is indeed not a plugin that we make. Event Tickets is, however, so to ask for help with Event Tickets, please post those questions in the Event Tickets support forum here → http://wordpress.org/plugins/event-tickets
Thank you,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey Carter,
URL query resolution is possible to varying degrees depending on the filter’s complexity, your site’s permalinks settings, and your server’s .htaccess file configuration.
1. Can you share some links to your site that you’re trying to use, and elaborate a bit more on the types of queries you are trying to make direct links to?
2. Can you share what your site’s permalinks settings are? You can find these settings in Settings → Permalinks—they might be /%postname%/, for example, but let me know what they are.
Thank you,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey Ethan,
We unfortunately can’t help with customization questions like this one. 🙁 Check out the “Product Support” section of this page for more information → http://theeventscalendar.com/terms
While what I wrote above is true, I would like to share some resources that might help regardless. We have described some of the code changes required for this sort of customization in threads like this one → https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/add-venue-to-month-tooltip/
I’d recommend searching our archives for threads related to this customization to find some helpful conversations → https://goo.gl/8lGIm9
This general guide that we have about making template customizations might also be helpful → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/
I hope this helps!
Best of luck with your customizing,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantGlad to help! 🙂

ParticipantThanks for sharing this solution! 🙂
Best of luck with your project,

ParticipantThanks for all of this information!
In the fatal error you shared, the missing function comes from Easy Digital Downloads. I see that Easy Digital Downloads is not installed and activated on your site. If you install and activate that plugin on your site, does anything improve here?
If not, then another thing I noticed here is that you have several WPML plugins activated on your site—these plugins could be adding to the conflicts here, because unfortunately our plugins are not compatible with WPML. 🙁 The Events Calendar itself is, to a large degree, but other add-ons like our ticketing plugins have many incompatibilities.
Sorry to disappoint!
If you install and activate Easy Digital Downloads on your site, and deactivate WPML and all of the related WPML plugins on your site, does anything improve with your functions here?
Thank you,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantGlad to hear it! Best of luck with your site. 🙂
Thanks,

ParticipantHey @Diane P,
Thank you for sharing this information! Have you opened a support thread with your web hosting provider? If so, what has been their response?
Aside from your hosting provider’s insight here, one of the main things that sticks out here is that some of your The Events Calendar plugins are out of date. Before any further support here, you will need to update all of these pieces of software to their most recent version.
Here is what you currently have on your site:
- The Events Calendar version 4.0.6
- The Events Calendar PRO version 3.9.3
- The Events Calendar: Filter Bar version 3.12.1
Here is what you need to have on your site:
- The Events Calendar version 4.0.7
- The Events Calendar PRO version 4.0.7
- The Events Calendar: Filter Bar version 4.0.4
You can get files for The Events Calendar here → https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar/
You can get files for the other plugins here → http://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads/Thank you!
