ParticipantHey Samuel,
Thanks for reaching out! This is an interesting idea, but it’s unfortunately not possible to do this with our plugins at this time. 🙁
Sorry to disappoint!

ParticipantHey Juan,
Thanks for reaching out. While there is unfortunately very little help we can provide for customizations, especially on a code level, you can dive into the plugin code yourself for The Events Calendar, Events Calendar Pro, or any other add-on and search for instance of the WordPress function wp_enqueue_script().
This function loads JavaScripts. So if you search for that function, you’ll find all of the scripts in our plugins and where, specifically, they are being loaded.
With this information you can then engineer a solution to alter the JavaScript loading however you see fit. This is indeed a rather large, complicated sort of customization to make, so I wish you the best of luck with your tinkering!
If you’re interesting in hiring a professional developer to write the code for you, we have a list of great developers here → http://m.tri.be/18k1 (and have no affiliation with any of these folks—they’re simply some well-respected names in the community that we’ve compiled to share in situations like this one).
Best of luck with your customizations,

ParticipantHey Mark,
There is BOTH an admin-facing attendees list and a public-facing list. The admin-facing list can be used to manage attendees at the event; it’s for event organizers to check folks in and stuff, for example.
The public-facing list is optional, and simply shows “who will be attending” at the event it displays on.
I hope this helps!

ParticipantHey Sean,
Thanks for your follow-up here. We unfortunately don’t have any “package sets”—if your server has WordPress, and a version of PHP higher than 5.2, you should be good to go….

ParticipantHey Josh,
Thanks for your patience and persistence here. I am a bit stumped here, and have been testing out things for this issue to no avail thus far.
I tried your Permalinks structure and everything, and cannot reproduce the problems….
You mention this:
the 404s are are event category archives, not single post events.
Can you share some actual, literal URLs to the archives on your site that return a 404?
Thank you!

ParticipantNice! 😀
George
ParticipantThank you for adding these details. They are indeed helpful!
I’m really sorry about the pace of this issue; investigation is underway and we’re trying to isolate the problem!
Thank you,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantSure thing, Jeff!
I would recommend the “Attendee Information” section of this knowledgebase article → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/managing-your-orders-and-attendees/
That covers a lot of the steps, including some screenshots—check it out and let me know any further questions you might have!

ParticipantHey Nora,
Thanks for your follow-up. The answer to both questions you posed here is that yes, fields can be hidden and the style of the whole page can be modified.
However, while both things are possible, they would unfortunately require code customizations to implement 🙁
We cannot help with code customizations, so to implement the features you describe, you would have to write that custom code or hire a professional developer to write the code for you. We have a list of great developers here → http://m.tri.be/18k1 (and have no affiliation with any of these folks—they’re simply some well-respected names in the community that we’ve compiled to share in situations like this one).
I hope this information is helpful!

ParticipantThanks for this information!
I am still not able to recreate the issues here, and so I’m wondering if perhaps a copy of these plugins is corrupted or something which is causing that error.
To test for this, do you notice any improvement if you DELETE the existing versions of The Events Calendar and Events Calendar Pro off of your site? (This will not delete any event information).
Once deleted, download a fresh copy of The Events Calendar from here → http://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar
Then download a fresh copy of Events Calendar Pro from here → http://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads
Install those freshly on the site and see if anything improves here; let me know if this helps!

ParticipantCheers! Glad to hear about some progress.
There’s a wealth of knowledge along these lines at this website for free, so I would definitely recommend checking it out as you continue to tinker with your site → http://css-tricks.com
We don’t “officially endorse” that site or anything like that, it’s just an excellent resource.
I’ll close this thread for now, but if other issues arise open a new thread any time.
Cheers!

ParticipantAwesome—thank you for sharing this update.
I’m sorry that I wasn’t able to dive into the code myself to recommend that solution above, but I’m just glad to hear about some progress regardless.
Best of luck with your site!

ParticipantAh! Sorry I didn’t think of a permissions issue at first—glad to hear about the progress, though.
Thanks for sharing this update—best of luck with your site! 🙂
