MemberGood evening Leo and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!
Thank you for your interest in our products.
We’ll be glad to answer your questions.Do I need to buy the pro version so the event calendar can work properly with WPML?
Normally, you should not need the Events Calendar Pro to run our the Events Calendar with WPML.
You will simply need to make sure you follow these 2 guides precisely:
- https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/creating-translations-for-events-using-wpml/
Would you be willing to provide the URL to your calendar if this does not work ?
Best regards,

MemberGood afternoon Paul and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
As you found out, this issue is rooted in your WordPress theme’s CSS.
Tweaking a couple of lines usually fixes it.Kudos on finding a workaround.
You are welcome back in our support forums any time 🙂
For now, I am going to close this thread.

MemberHello again Rainer,
For the second time today, major kudos!
I am not sure if you were able to do so by simply by changing the settings or by tweaking your customizations.
But either way, I am glad you found a solution.
I am going to close this thread.
Have a great day!

MemberGood evening Brandon and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the struggle you experienced.
I would love to help you with this topic. You are 100% right, we can totally improve on documentation and we will.
With that in mind, there is actually no need to put full CSS files in your /tribe-events/ folder (unless you have a reason to).
You can simply add rules to your child theme’s style.css file.

Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the issue you experienced.
I would love to help you with this topic.I am really glad that re-saving your permalinks fixed things for you.
On some installations, this is required after updates. We are looking into this to find out why.
As per your suggestion, that would be very awesome. Thank you for bringing this up.
For the time being, since we do have a known issues page: https://theeventscalendar.com/known-issues/
I am going to suggest that it gets updated more frequently. This would totally help.

MemberGood afternoon Rainer and welcome back!
This looks like either a case of translation file update or caching.
Either way, I am super stoked it is fixed.

MemberGood afternoon Mark,
Thank you for running those tests.
I am truly sorry that this was not met with more success. As stated previously, a bug ticket has been submitted to address the current “Use a different domain” issue with the month view. You will be contacted as soon as a fix is out.
In the meantime, this leaves you with the following options:
- Remove the month view altogether for the time being
- Use a director-based approach as opposed to a domain-based approach for language switching
I realize none of these options are great.
I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the only one I have unfortunately.Best regards,
Geoff B.

MemberGood morning Vladimir,
I am super stoked that you were able to figure this one out!
Since I’m here, i’d like to know if and how I could possibly switch the word “Evènement” (events) everywhere in TECP so it appears to be “Formations” (training)
Absolutely, you can do that via the following snippet in the functions.php file of your theme (without the PHP tag at the top): https://gist.github.com/andrasguseo/29903a974cb84060957881c17613c278
If that one does not work, you can always use the one found at the bottom of the following page: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/change-the-wording-of-any-bit-of-text-or-string/
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

MemberGood morning Silva,
Thank you for writing back.
I apologize for the delay getting back to you.We are experiencing a higher volume of inquiries than usual at the moment.
To make matters worst, our support department is unfortunately not open on weekends. We are truly sorry for the inconvenience this might have caused.
But most importantly, we are sad to see you go. We totally understand how frustrating it can be when you are trying to implement something on a short deadline and things are not going smoothly.
It’s really a shame that we could not help out in a timely fashion.
For what its worth here are the answers to your question.
I found the usability issue and especially the shopping cart part with 0 quantity as default and it still allowed user to add to cart (showing your cart is empty message)
This is a valid point. The good news is that most of our plugins’ behaviours are tweakable.
You could apply the following snippet in the functions.php file of your theme (without the PHP tag at the top): https://gist.github.com/elimn/30c533fad7ee5ce4c3cb8a0f727c7190
also the “add” and “minus” button placement is not a reasonable design – please see attached. this is unacceptable comparing with the paid valued of a plugin.
You are right. This does not look very good.
Styling of the buttons is highly dependent on your WordPress theme’s CSS.
Depending on the theme, you might have to play around with the first 2 settings from Events -> Settings -> Display. If not, you can always easily fix by a few extra CSS rules. We are glad to help our customers out in that area if you can provide a link to a live event with tickets.
As requested I have processed your refund. It usually takes a few days for the payment gateways to process everything.
All the best in your future projects.
Best regards,
Geoff B.

MemberGood evening Alyson,
You are absolutely right, breaking events from the series makes them all unique individual events.
This also means that the built-in options to control recurring events display will not work with them.Understandably, this is less than ideal.
But keep in mind, we are working hard at making this a full-feature.It is actually far more complex than you would expect to achieve. But we will get it done!
Best regards,
Geoff B.

MemberGood evening Lou,
I am glad you were able to make some progress.
The fastest way to troubleshoot would be to:
- Identify if the issue is caused by a the Events Calendar customization file that needs updating / disabling
- Identify if the issue stems from a script called by the theme (usually by dequeuing all scripts and bringing them back one at a time).
I can’t guarantee anything, but I can take a look myself.
Could you please send me a copy of the latest version of your WordPress theme / child theme via a link to a .zip file link (stored Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ? I recommend a private reply for that purpose.
Please ensure you are using the latest files as found on your actual website.
This way I will get access to any updates or customizations you might have made.Hang in there!
