translation issues even if already translate

Hi

I renewed and updated my tecp, but now i dont know why the months and days are in english.
I used poedit and even loco to translate but the files are already translated;
thing is, on the website, the days and months are still in english
reverted to theme thwenty sixteen same
any hint?

We are sorry to hear about the days and months not being translated.
I would love to help you with this topic.

When translation file strings are not kicking in, it is usually caused by one of the following things:

1. Your translation files are not up to date
2. You are using some customized translation files that have been placed in the /wp-content/languages/ or /wp-content/languages/plugins/ folder. These might not be updated and will override any other file.
3. The strings are translated, but are considered “fuzzy”

In the first 2 cases, the solution is to update your translation files using the pot file. You can do this by using the Poedit software and heading to Catalog > Update from pot file.

In the last case, you will need to make them “unfuzzy” using Poedit.

But, in your case, it is also possible that the issue lies with WordPress language files (as opposed to ours). This is because things translation for months and days can sometimes come from WordPress core’s language files.

Hi Geoff thx for coming back quickly at me.

As a matter of fact, I don’t know why, my wp core fr_FR was messed up, I realized that by switching it to belgian french, the translations were ok. I then reinstalled the french wordpress 4.8 and it was solved, sorry for the mess.

Since I’m here, i’d like to know if and how I could possibly switch the word “Evènement” (events) everywhere in TECP so it appears to be “Formations” (training)
From the frontpage of tecp, to the widget that displays “Voir tous les évènements”
I’m guessing using Loco, or you have maybe something in tecp settings but can’t see it.
