My pleasure and happy to help, Christopher!

You’re right, it would be really nice to see a drag-and-drop sort of interface for that. In fact, I went ahead and created a feature request ticket for you:

    https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/17286869-custom-ticket-sorting-in-the-ticket-order-form

Please add your vote and, while there are no guarantees we’ll build it, consider it on our radar. 🙂

I see you marked this thread Resolved, so I’ll go ahead and close it. Let us know if any other questions come up and we’d be more than happy to help.

    Cheers!

    Hi @Arnau,

    Thanks for following up!

Ha, I totally got your site language wrong — thanks for pointing out that it’s Catalan.

Is Catalan the language in your WordPress settings? You can check by heading to Settings > General from the WordPress dashboard.

If it is set to Catalan, then that would be the reason the site stays in Catalan when WPML is disabled.

I do see that The Events Calendar has a Catalan language file but it is only 47% complete. That could be why you still see untranslated parts of the calendar.

    Cheers,

    Hi Kevin,

I’m happy to hear that the license key fields worked after updating!

I JUST BOUGHT this plugin from you TODAY? I’m confused about why you would sell it a plugin that has been deprecated? Can I get a refund on this? Order #1198458 – I spent $129 on this….

I’m not only happy to process the refund, but I went ahead and did so. The funds should be back in your account for the Facebook Events purchase in Order #198458 in the next 5-10 business days.

To be clear, you received the Event Aggregator license for free because you purchased Facebook Events. We are providing it for you to preview as we sunset the plugins it will be replacing, but we are still currently supporting those plugins.

Either way, I am happy to keep the free Event Aggregator license in your account, so your purchase was certainly not an unproductive one. 🙂

Honestly, you guys have a good system but this overlapping, multiple plugin (i.e. install the base and the pro version, etc) is ridiculous.

Aside from Event Aggregator releasing recently and in the process of it triggering the sunset process for two of our other plugins (Facebook Events and iCal Importer), are there any other overlaps you are referring to? I’m asking because I am unaware of any — as far as I know, all of our plugins offer unique feature and functionality and nothing overlaps, though all the plugins complement one another.

And that’s the reason for the multiple plugin structure. We prefer to allow folks to pick and choose their feature set and breaking the features up into separate plugins is the best (and most common) way to do that. This is the way most WordPress plugins operate. For example, WooCommerce (owned and maintained by Automattic) is a free base plugin with both free and premium extensions along the same lines as The Events Calendar and it’s premium extensions.

I offer this not to trigger more frustration or debate, but to provide you with the context and reasoning for why we offer what we offer. We truly do have a lot of love for you and all our customers and I hope this helps explain our model.

Ok – now when I go to settings>api>connect facebook – it takes me to the connect window (see attached) and then dumps me back onto the event page on my site – I don’t get a chance to select the page or make any other settings to facebook that would be indicated.

I’m happy to help with this, but would you be willing to open a new thread? This is off topic for for the thread and I’m afraid of getting our wires crossed if we start discussing it in addition to what we’re already in the process of discussing.

In the meantime, please check the status of your Facebook API connection, which you can do by navigating to Events > Help. If the indicator shows the connection is valid, then you should be good to go. If it’s not, then please note that in the new thread and we’ll take it from there!

    Thanks so much, Kevin!

    Hi Tien,

    Thanks for getting in touch!

I think the easiest way to exchange the products is for me to process a refund for your original order (#1094651) which will allow you to purchase the bundle.

Would you like me to go ahead and process that refund for you? Let me know and I’d be happy to while we’re still in the 30-day refund window.

And, yes, <u>Community Events</u> (which is included in the bundle) does allow members to submit RSVP events to the calendar, as long as <u>The Events Calendar</u> and <u>Event Tickets</u> are both installed and activated as well.

I am afraid, however, that none of our plugins support notifications to members when an RSVP has been made for an event. It will notify the site admin, but not the person who submitted the event to the calendar. That’s actually something we’re interested in building and that I know we’ve discussed, though I have no idea where that would fall in our roadmap for development.

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know!

    Cheers,
    Geoff

    Hello Dave,

Good question! <u>Events Calendar PRO</u> does indeed include recurring events as a feature. In fact, you can see all the configurable options for recurring events outlined here in this tutorial:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-recurring-events/

I think this will work well for your festivals activities, as long as each activity is broken into its own “event” in the calendar. So, for example, let’s say you have an activity called Dinner and it happens every day over 8 weeks — you can create an event called “Dinner” and set it to repeat every day at the same time (or at different times) and end after 8 weeks. You can even set it up to exclude certain dates in the process.

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know!

    Cheers,
    Geoff

    Hi Christopher,

Good question! You’re absolutely right: there is no direct way to change the order of tickets that have been created for an event.

We do have a tutorial that allows you to change the order based on a few factors, such as alphabetical order and in order of price:

Change the Order of Displayed Tickets

Does this help answer your question and will that do the trick? Please let me know!

    Hi Greg,

Absolutely, that’s totally possible! I would suggest overriding the modules/meta/details.php template to make that happen. You can learn more about overriding calendar templates in our Themer’s Guide, but it basically boils down to this:

    • Make a copy of the details.php template. It is located at /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/views/modules/meta/details.php
    • Make a new folder in your theme called tribe-events
    • Make a new folder in that one called modules
    • Make a new folder in that one called meta
    • Drop your copied details.php file in that last folder

Now that the template is in your theme, you can modify it to suit your needs. In this case, change this line:

    <dt> <?php esc_html_e( 'Cost:', 'the-events-calendar' ) ?> </dt>

    …to this:

    <dt> <?php esc_html_e( 'Tickets:', 'the-events-calendar' ) ?> </dt>

I do want to caution that your site appears to already be using template overrides. If that’s the case, then you likely already have the folders — and possible even the details.php template — in the theme folder and can skip those steps and make the change to the file that is already there.

Will this work for you? Please let me know. 🙂

    Cheers!

    Howdy @Arnau,

    Thanks for getting in touch!

I was looking at your settings and it looks like the language of your site is set to French Canadian. Is that correct?

The Events Calendar will use the translation files of that correspond with the primary language that is set for the site in the WordPress settings. If you would like the calendar to default to another language, you can change the default language of your site and follow the steps outlined in this tutorial for changing the translation of the calendar itself:

Changing the Language on Your Calendar

    Thanks so much!

    Hi John,

Sure thing, I’d be happy to help refund your order of Facebook Events! In fact, I just submitted the refund and the funds should be back in your account within the next 5-10 business days.

Was there anything else I could help with on your orders? Let me know. 🙂

    Hi Geoff,

I’m super sorry to hear about the troubles you hit while setting up Event Tickets Plus with Easy Digital Downloads, though I am really happy to hear that things appear to work much more smoothly with WooCommerce.

I’ve flagged this thread for us to do a little extra testing on our next release to make sure everything is working smoothly between Event Tickets Plus and Easy Digital Downloads.

In the meantime, please do let us know if you bump into any troubles while using WooCommerce with our products and we’d be happy to check it out with you.

    Cheers!

    Hi @Stefaan,

Great question! Yes, Event Aggregator will eventually replace Facebook Events. We’re in the process of sunsetting Facebook Events as we add new features to Event Aggregator moving forward.

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂

    Cheers!
