    Hi Jeseph,

Nice work! It’s really awesome of you to both write the customization yourself and share it here with the rest of the community. I’m sharing it with others on the team to so it’s on everyone’s radar if similar requests pop up.

I’ll go ahead and close this thread but let us know if any other questions come up and we’d be happy to help. 🙂

    Cheers!

    Hi Dirk and great question.

Yes, a public attendee list is possible and it is a feature of Event Tickets Plus. Once an event has been set up in WordPress and tickets have been created for that event, there is an option in the post editor (screenshot) to either hide or display the public attendee list (screenshot).

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.

    Cheers!

    Hi Ben,

Thanks so much for the follow-up and additional information! You spelled out the second part of the issue nicely and, as such, I have updated the ticket in our system to reflect that.

I can certainly understand how important it is for those reports to be consistent and correct. On that same note, the ticket has not been slated for a release yet and likely will remain where it is until after the 4.4 release, which has been bumped to early January.

I will, of course, continue to check in on the ticket for you and keep you posted as I know more. I wish I could give you a concrete date for when this will be worked on, but I’m afraid that is something I am unable to do, though I am able and happy to provide you status updates when progress is made.

Thanks for your patience while we continue to push on our next release and begin to scope maintenance releases.

Hi Peter and thanks for getting in touch!

We’d be happy to help — but I do want to note that our pre-sales forum is used to answer questions about purchasing our premium plugins.

If you’re looking for technical support, it would be awesome if you could post your question to our <u>WordPress.org support forum</u>.

Or, if you already have an active license for one of premium plugins, will you please log into your account and post your topic to our premium support forum instead?

And when you do post a new topic, will you please also include a link to where you are seeing an issue? That will help a lot because the behavior you are describing does not sound like the calendar links work by default, so we would want to see and example of what you’re seeing.

    Thanks so much!

    Hi @divaker,

I’ve gone ahead and deactivated your additional license for Events Calendar PRO and exchanged it for an Event Tickets Plus license.

You can access the new license key by logging into your account on our site and navigating to My Account > License Keys. You will also be able to access a download of Event Tickets Plus by navigating to the Downloads screen from there.

Let me know if you have any issues accessing your new license key and I’d be happy to help.

    Cheers!

Thanks Helena! I appreciate you sharing that info with me.

the system information looks good. In other words, it looks like you have all the correct plugin versions installed and I see nothing in your settings right off that would cause this sort of conflict.

I see you have tried the following:

    • Deactivated all other plugins? Yes
    • Switched to a default theme? Yes

Did you happen to notice a difference when deactivating all other plugins or switching to a default WordPress theme, like Twenty Sixteen? What happens if you try deactivating all plugins and switching to the Twenty Sixteen theme together? Do you notice a difference then?

If you see no difference in those conditions, then we’ll need to do some deeper troubleshooting, most likely with a test site of your own that we can use to pinpoint the difference between your site and my test site (which does have the tab information).

    Thanks!

    Thanks for following up!

Is there an option in the WordPress admin menu under Events called Legacy Import? Here is a screenshot of what I’m hoping you see in the menu.

If you Legacy Import in the menu, please click it and it will allow you to import events from Facebook Events the way you normally have.

    Thanks!

Awesome, thanks so much for the additional information!

Well, your settings look good. I also tried importing the event you provided a link for and I was able to import it to my test site with no issues.

Can you give me some more details about how you are unable to import events? Here are some specific questions for you to answer:

    • Were you always unable to import events or is this a recent issue?
    • If this is a recent issue, were there any recent updates on your site? If so, what were they? For example, plugin or theme updates.
    • Are you seeing any error messages? If so, what are they? Do you have screenshots of them that you can share?

Let’s start with those. I’m also curious to see if you are able to import the same event using Event Aggregator instead, but let’s only go there after exhausting our options here.

    Thanks!

    Hello Simone,

Thanks so much for writing in!

Great question. We actually have a service called Event Aggregator I think you’ll want to check out. As long as both sites are running The Events Calendar, you can purchase a license for Event Aggregator on the site you want to import events onto and it will pull the events from the other site on a scheduled basis so you only have to input the events on one site.

The best part: Event Aggregator is already included in The Events Calendar. All you need to do is purchase the license, add it to the Events > Settings > Licenses screen, and you’re good to go — no other plugins needed. 🙂

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.

    Cheers!

    Hi Dieter,

Well, shoot, I am certainly disappointed and bummed to hear that the experience of customizing styles on The Events Calendar has not lived up to your expectations. I know we’ve put a lot of effort into making the plugin as flexible as possible but I also know there is always room for improvement.

I did not see a question here in your thread, but I’ll go ahead and share some customizing resources that are available for changing the calendar’s styles:

    • Overriding the stylesheets: Any of the calendar’s stylesheets can be overridden in your theme’s directory, which prevents your changes from being lost on future plugin updates. So, for example, you can create a new folder in your theme’s directory called tribe-events and create a stylesheet in there called tribe-events.css and any classes added there will take priority over those in the plugin’s included stylesheet.
    • Using the WordPress Customizer: This is a feature in Events Calendar PRO, but it will allow you to make color and other style adjustments to the calendar in the Appearance > Customize screen in WordPress.
    • Directly editing the theme stylesheet: You can add your styles here instead and that will allow you to override any calendar styles.
    • Using a third-party plugin: For example, the Simple Custom CSS plugin has come in handy for me on a number of occasions. I like it because it adds styles directly to the document head, which takes priority over any other style from a stylesheet.

I hope this helps a bit and shows that we’re quite beyond the “fashioned useablitiy” you mentioned. If you have other examples of how other plugins are doing it both differently and better, then please share — we’re always interested in how we can improve and if there are good examples out there, then perhaps we can learn from it.

    Cheers,
    Geoff

    Hi Terri,

Oh shoot, so sorry to hear the plugins will not be needed after all!

I’ve gone ahead and issued a refund for your orders and the funds should be back in your account within 5-10 business days.

Please do keep us in mind for future projects down the road. We’ll be here and happy to help the next time you have a client looking for an awesome calendar on their site. 🙂

    Hi Luis,

    Sorry for the trouble here!

Will you please take a screenshot of your Events > Settings > Licenses screen and share it with me as a private reply? I want to check to see how your licenses are entered.

Also, would you be willing to send me links to the pages where you are seeing errors? I tried clicking around your site a bit but was unable to see any of them, so maybe you can point me to where I should be looking.

    Thanks so much!

    Hi Richard,

Your personal-level license will be just fine. Our licenses do not count certain local domain extensions toward registration. Here’s a guide that offers much more information on what does and does not count:

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.

    Hi @hasnaink,

Thanks for writing in and I hope you had a great weekend!

Good question. By default, tickets do not display in the WooCommerce shop. You can enable them to display, however, by clicking on the Products tab in the WordPress admin menu and editing the ticket you want to display in the shop.

Specifically, there is a box on the right of the screen called Publish (screenshot) and inside it is a line that says:

    Catalog visibility: Hidden

Click the edit link next to that and it will allow you to make the ticket visible in the shop.

Will that do the trick for you? Please let me know. 🙂

    Cheers!
    Geoff
