By the way, we’ve since released a newer version of the Community Events plugin and one of the features is reCAPTCHA integration, which adds more protection against spam submissions. You can activate it by heading over to Events > Settings > Community, and following the instructions at the bottom of the screen under the “reCAPTCHA API Keys” section.
Cheers!

MemberHi there, Jonathan! Thanks for getting in touch and sorry you’re hitting some trouble here, but hopefully we can pinpoint the issue here together.
Generally, any of the date settings applied to the calendar come directly from the WordPress settings (Settings > General). That makes me wonder if there is some other conflict at play with either your theme or one of the other plugins that is installed.
Could you try temporarily activating the default Twenty Thirteen theme, to see if the issue happens there as well? If disabling the theme fixes it, that’s good news! It means we have narrowed the issue down to a theme conflict.
If the issue is still there when using the default Twenty Thirteen theme, then we can try testing for conflicts with other installed plugins. Using the Twenty Thirteen, please try deactivating all of your plugins, except for the ones from Modern Tribe. Does that solve the problem? If so, reactivate the plugins one at a time until the issue pops back up, then tell me which one was causing the issue.
These steps are also outlined here if you want some more details on how to test for conflicts.
Let’s give those steps a shot and then let me know what you find before we troubleshoot any deeper.
Cheers!

MemberHi there, Melody! Thanks for getting in touch and welcome to the forum. We hope you’re enjoying the WooTickets plugin so far. 🙂
Great question. I do want to note first of all, though, that we are fairly limited in terms of helping out with custom development questions like this one. That said, we’d love to point you in the right direction if we can.
You might find the answer in this thread useful. It provides a method for setting up the link needed to add a ticket directly to the cart, which you can use in your single-event.php template where you would like it to display.
I would also suggest checking out our Themer’s Guide for a thorough walkthrough of how to modify plugin templates without touching the core files. It’s super helpful.
I hope this helps steer you in the right direction. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberHey there, Dave–thanks for following up! I’m glad you were able to restore a backup, but am sorry you’re still hitting some issues here.
Is the old Eventbrite plugin (3.4) NOT backward compatible with Event Calendar 3.9?
No, our plugins are generally not backwards compatible and we do recommend syncing version numbers to ensure the highest level of compatibility. Sorry if that wasn’t entirely clear up front when you updated.
I think the best way to troubleshoot and test this out would be to set up a fresh test site–this will avoid any disruption to your live site and ensure that we’ve effectively got a “clean canvas” to work with.
- Please install a fresh copy of WordPress in a subdirectory (if you have a CPanel-type hosting account there will probably be a one-click install script to make this really easy)
- Don’t install anything except the latest version (3.9) of The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO and WooTickets
- Please also stick to a default theme–again, there’s no need to install anything else just yet!
- Create a few events so we have some test data to work with
- Can you replicate the same problem?
If you find you can replicate the problem under these conditions it would be awesome if you could stop and let us know so we can take a look while the test site is still running under default conditions.
Thanks for your help!

MemberHi there, Adam! Thanks for getting in touch and sorry you’re bumping into this issue. It is definitely a bug on our end. In fact, I see there’s already a ticket in our system to patch it up and include in the next release.
I’ll close this thread for now, but we’ll try to follow up with you directly in this thread when the patch has been released. In the meantime, keep your eyes open for it in the coming weeks.
Cheers!

MemberHi there Edward, thanks for getting in touch!
Great question. I think the best route for setting permissions for posting event posts is to assign each of your users into two different categories. For example, you could divide them between the Author and Editor roles.
Then you can use this snippet in your functions.php file to remove event posting and editing capabilities for one of those two roles. The snippet contains all of the existing default WordPress roles and all of the plugin permissions, so you can tailor it to suit your needs.
Does that make sense? Will that work for you? Please let me know. 🙂
Cheers!

GeoffDecember 15, 2014 at 4:34 pm in reply to: [tribe_mini_calendar] DEMO – SOMEWHERE pelase :) / Tweet the shortcode #919201Geoff
MemberHey there, Erik! Thanks for following up.
I was welcoming you back because you’ve posted to the forums before–not because your product license had been renewed. 🙂
For the time being, the shortcode only outputs the mini calendar at face value. Unfortunately, there are no variables to filter the output at this time. We are working towards a bigger solution for shortcodes and the mini calendar is the first stop and is brand new in the latest release. We’ll be releasing more, for sure.
In the meantime, you might want to check out the Event Rocket plugin. It’s a third-party plugin and we don’t support it here in the forums, but it does offer the sort of shortcode functionality it sounds like you are looking for. Might be worth a look.
Cheers!

MemberHi there, Noah!
Good question about jQuery. We don’t package our own version of it, but ‘ask’ for the version that ships with WordPress. So, for example, if we’re on WordPress 4.0.1, we would accept the version that comes packaged with that and support as far back as WP 3.9. We accept any version of jQuery that is expected to come packaged in that range.
If you’re still interested in a refund, hit us up at pro [at] tri.be (you can reference this thread) and we’ll get that processed for you.
I’m really sorry you’ve bumped into this theme conflict and we’ve been unable to support it.
Cheers,
Geoff -
