MemberHi there, Louise! Welcome back to the forums. 🙂
Good question. Tags are global in the sense that they apply to both Posts and Events. For example, if you head over to Posts> Tags, these should be the same as those under Events > Tags.
You are correct: the search is only checking titles and descriptions when performing a query, so the tag isn’t in consideration there. The post would certainly show up if “dance” was contained in the Event post title.
While tags are not included in the Filter Bar search field, there is the option to filter those results by tags, if enabled in the Filter Bar settings.
Does this help clarify things a bit and answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberHi there, Maikol! Thanks for getting in touch and welcome back to the forums. 🙂
The calendar comes with an RSS feed of your newly published events at [your-site]/[event-slug]/feed. So, if you have imported events from Facebook, they will be included in that feed, provided they are set to Published and are not past events.
Does this makes sense? Let me know if that helps answer your question.
Cheers!

MemberHi there, Will! Thanks for getting in touch and sorry to hear you’re hitting some trouble with tax settings in WooCommerce having an effect on tickets.
You’re not missing anything. The nice thing about the WooTickets add-on is that it acts as a nice bridge between The Events Calendar and WooCommerce. Each time you’re setting up a ticket in an Event post, you’re really using WooCommerce functionality, thanks to WooTickets making that bridge.
At the same time, tickets are registered as Products in WooCommerce, meaning that they become a part of the WooCommerce system. Any WooCommerce settings you apply to Products will apply to tickets as well.
Your best bet is to refer to the WooCommerce documentation to see if there are ways to set up different tax rates on different Product types. For example, here is their tutorial on setting up tax rates. Additionally, I found this post on how to set up different tax rates on different items, that might help get you started.
Sorry I don’t have a concrete solution to provide, but hopefully this helps point you in the right direction. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberHi there, Léon! Thanks for getting in touch and we’re glad you’re checking out the plugins. 🙂
Good question. QR codes and barcodes are not currently supported for tickets, but is something we plan on releasing as part of a major overhaul to our ticketing framework later on in the year. Currently, however, events have lists of Attendees that can be exported to CSV and used to check people in manually.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me now and thanks again for reaching out.

MemberHey Frederique! Thanks for following up.
Sorry the snippet is giving you some trouble. I just tried it out on my local site and it seems to work smoothly, so it’s likely that it needs to be placed elsewhere in your theme’s functions.php file so it doesn’t conflict with the formatting of other functions.
I think it would be possible to include the Featured Image in the Event RSS Feed, but I’m afraid it will take some custom development to get it going. There is a tutorial on how to add Events to your site’s main RSS Feed that might help get you started, but it’s unfortunately something that isn’t supported out of the box.
Please let me know if you have any other follow-up questions. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberHey there, Louise! Thanks for following up. The screencast help a lot, so thanks for that as well. 🙂
It’s worth noting that the plugins don’t support legacy versions of browsers. It looks like you’re using Safari 5 and the latest is 8. We typically go back at least a couple of versions, but can’t realistically ensure a completely functional experience across the board, though we strive to optimize for as many browsers and versions as possible.
That said, your site and the demo site do seem to function properly in the latest version of Safari.
I hope this helps clarify things a bit! Thanks again for reaching out. 🙂

MemberHey there, Aaron! Thanks for following up.
Oh man, that’s really odd. Typically, if I see anything quirky like this on the back end, my first inclination is try switching to a default theme and deactivating all other plugins to see if there’s a conflict. It looks like you noted trying those things already. It would be great if you could try the steps in our Testing for Conflicts guide now that the plugin has been reset.
Please give that a shot and before we go any deeper and let me know if you see any difference under those conditions.
Cheers!

MemberHi Nicola, thanks for following up! I’m sorry the snippet didn’t work–I was hoping that would provide a good workaround while the issue is being fixed. Unfortunately, I don’t have any other solutions I can provide in the meantime, but we will follow up when we have more to progress to share.
Sorry again and thanks for letting us know about the issue so we can work on it!

MemberHi Mark, thanks for chiming in! You’re welcome to follow along with this thread and see if any of the recommendations work for you. If you prefer support for your specific question, then it’d be great if you could start a new thread so we can help you out. 🙂
That said, yes: the datepicker settings should apply across the public form. That was Nicola’s original questions and we’ve logged a ticket to address it in an upcoming release. We’ll try to follow up directly here in this thread when we have more to share on the progress.
If you’re looking to remove the US states dropdown, you can try the suggestion provided in this thread.
Thanks again! If you have any other follow-up questions, please open a new thread and we’d be happy to help you out there. 🙂
Cheers!
