Thiessoz Yannick
Guesthello,
I’m currently trying to evaluate the acquisition of an event management plugin for WordPress.
I compare your plugin with the plugin All-in-One Event Calendar by Time.ly.
I have for now a preference for your plugin for the following résonds:
-Management Venue (available for $ 60 in All-in-One Event Calendar)
-Management organizer
-Import CVS (available for $ 30 in All-in-One Event Calendar)
-Easy To use
However, the other plugin has other assets that I like to know if you are going to integrate or whether they are part of the pro version:
-Widget Configurable (item number, category or tag selection, links to the events page)
-theme Options (for the customization of the display (color different views))
-Rules Exclusion for a repeat event
-A Agenda views
-Front End Event SubmissionsThank you for your help and sorry for the quality of my english
best regards

MemberHello Thiessoz! Thanks for getting in touch. We’re excited that you’re considering out plugins and hope they wind up being a good fit for you.
Good questions. I’ll do my best to answer them all here.
-Management Venue (available for $ 60 in All-in-One Event Calendar)
-Management organizer
-Import CVS (available for $ 30 in All-in-One Event Calendar)Yes, The Event Calendar PRO includes both Venues and Organizers. In fact, we have a nice little write-up of these features that you might be interested in.
The free version of The Events Calendar already comes packed with a CSV Importer, which will allow you to pull in events from other sources. Match the columns to the available fields, and the events will be imported in automatically. Same goes for Venues and Organizers. Here’s a tutorial on our CSV Importer, which includes a video screencast to give you an idea of how it works.
-Easy To use
We definitely like to think our plugins are easy to use. We put a lot of work into packing in a lot of features without overwhelming or confusing the interface. We’ve made the process of publishing an event almost identical to the process of publishing any other WordPress post, so the experience will feel incredibly similar and intuitive. Again, here’s a tutorial on how to publish an event to give you an idea of how that works.
-Widget Configurable (item number, category or tag selection, links to the events page)
The Events List widget that is included with PRO includes the ability to filter events by any number of tags and categories. However, filtering by item number is something that is not yet supported, though is a neat idea.
-theme Options (for the customization of the display (color different views))
The free version comes with three built in styles: Tribe, Full and Skeleton. Tribe is a fully styled calendar, Full is styled, but minimally, and Skeleton is a completely un-styled calendar. Here’s a good overview on those options.
Regardless of which style you choose, you are able to fully override the styles using your own CSS. Our Themer’s Guide is a good place to start to see how to use your own stylesheets as well as how to customize any calendar template.
-Rules Exclusion for a repeat event
We do have an option to display only the first instance of a recurring event, but I’m afraid that is the only option available as far as rules for excluding recurring events.
-A Agenda views
We do have a sample Agenda View available on GitHub as a free download. However, it’s less an officially supported view and more of an example of how to create your own calendar views. You could certainly use it as a foundation to get started.
-Front End Event Submissions
Our Community Events add on is perfect for front-end submissions. Check it out. 🙂
Does this help answer your questions? Please let me know.
Cheers!

GuestHello,
Your answer is very comprehensive and I thank you for that.
I thought kindly abandon “the event calendar” for “all-in-one Event calendar”. But your answer made me change my mind. Indeed, the Venue and organizer options are really a benefit to your solution. In addition, your Themer’s Guide seems perfect because I’ll probably extend your solution with the “pods plugin” and I think I’ll need it:-)
During the year 2015, when the model of my site will be successful, I’ll order the pro version.
Best Regards
