MemberAh, gotcha! That makes quite a bit more sense–thanks for the clarification.
I can see how Event Rocket might not be the right fit. Although, a possibility would be to use Event Rocket to set the Events page as the homepage, then hook into the tribe_events_before_html() and tribe_events_after_html() functions to input other elements onto the page. You can actually do this in the “Advanced Template Settings” under Events > Settings > Display, or you hook into those functions to inject some more advanced features. Just a thought.
Good question about shortcode timeframe. Honestly, I don’t have a specific timeframe I can provide, but I do know that it is being actively discussed. The widget shortcode is the first move in that direction, so you can expect to see more iterative releases throughout the year, for sure.
I hope this helps! Thanks again for reaching out. 🙂

MemberUnfortunately, not right out of the box. I’m afraid altering the RSS feed that way would take a fair amount of custom development that we are unable to support here in the forums.
I do see a feature request on our UserVoice page to allow more customized RSS feeds. I’d suggest heading over there and adding your idea in there to show support for it and how that might work.
Sorry I don’t have more of a concrete solution for you here, but I hope this at least clarifies things a bit. Let me know if you have any follow-up questions and I’d be happy to answer as best I can. 🙂

MemberHello there, Rafael!
We actually do support shortcodes now, as of the latest release (3.9)–however, just the one shortcode to display the mini calendar widget on any page or post.
While there still isn’t a way to make the calendar your site’s homepage right out of the box, you may want to check out the Event Rocket plugin. It’s not supported by us here, but is maintained by one of the developers on the team and includes the ability to set the calendar as the homepage using a shortcode. Sounds like that may be the best bet for what you’re looking for.
Sorry our plugin doesn’t handle for you right out of the box, but hopefully this provides you a solid alternative to make it happen. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberAbsolutely! The feed for a specific category will be located at: [your-site]/[calendar-slug]/category/[category-slug]/feed
So, for example, the feed for a category called “Concert” might look something like this: [your-site]/events/category/concert/feed
Cheers!

MemberAwesome, I’m glad that helps! Thanks for following up.
Changing the “Tags” label to something else is something I imagine would be possible, but it certainly would take some custom development that we’d need to leave in your hands. However, our Themer’s Guide does a very good job of walking thorough how to customize the plugin templates, and our documentation is readily available to help you hook into any function used by the calendar.
Let me know if you think we’ve fully covered your original question, or if you have any other follow-up questions we can help with. 🙂
Cheers!
