MemberHi there, James! Nice to see you again. 🙂
Good question. Actually we have a nice tutorial in the Knowledgebase that walks through how to make that happen.
Does this help? Let me know if it does the trick.
Cheers!

MemberHi there, Tom!
Thanks for getting in touch and sharing your thoughts here. We did indeed increase our prices in the last couple of weeks and a Personal License for both PRO and WooTickets run $89 apiece, where they ran $65 previously.
We do run a fairly aggressive development schedule and are releasing new features on a regular basis. While some of them might be more exciting (such as shortcodes) others are much more invisible but very necessary (such as performance and accessibility).
You can track our progress in our Release Notes.
Some of the features you point out are definitely long-awaited features. For example, tickets on recurring events where a global stock of tickets is shared across events is definitely something we’re working on though, as you might imagine, requires an overhaul to our ticketing framework that takes a significant effort to build and test. We’re definitely on the side of releasing new features quickly, but want to take care and release the best product possible for things like this.
Some of the other features you mention are a double-edged sword. For example, there are some things we can do to better integrate with WPML. We’ve made some of those adjustments and more are still to come. At the same time, there is some work the WPML team will need to do as well and we have reached out to build that bridge.
When we consider the price next to the features of the plugins, what is coming to the plugins, and the level of support that is provided with the plugins, we see a very fair value and hope you see the same.
Thanks again for reaching out and I do hope this helps answers your question. Please let me know if you have any additional follow-up questions here and I’d be happy to help. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberHi there Vera! Thanks for reaching out and for the kind words about the plugin. 🙂
Good question. It does look like the site you referenced is using something different than The Events Calendar, so it’s likely going to be different in many regards.
Have you checked out our Filter Bar add-on? It adds a set of configurable options that allow your visitors to filter the calendar by things like Categories, Tags, Date, Time of Day, Day of Week, Cost and others. Sounds like it might be what you’re looking for here.
Here’s a nice overview of Filter Bar that will help illustrate the options that are available.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂

MemberHi there, Lars!
Perhaps shifting the tooltip a little to the right will make things a little easier to navigate.
You may need to work with this a bit to get it how you want, but something like this might help:
.tribe-events-calendar .tribe-events-tooltip { left: 30px; }Cheers!

MemberHi there, Tim! Thanks for getting in touch and checking out the plugins. 🙂
Good question. There is currently no filter included that will query all events specifically by country. However, you could use Categories and Tags to group events in the same country together. Plus, if you had the Filter Bar add-on, you could allow those events to be filtered by those Categories and Tags.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.

MemberHi Morgan–thanks for following up and marking the answer! I’m glad this helped answer your question 🙂
Craig–Yes, the Filter Bar add-on will indeed work with Community Events. Once a visitor has submitted an event and that event has been published, it will be included in the main calendar, which will include the Filter Bar.
I’ll go ahead and close this thread, but please feel free to reach back out if any other questions pop up and we’d be happy to help. 🙂

MemberHi Leslie–thanks for following up and for testing for conflicts as well. I really appreciate it!
It would be helpful to try to replicate the issue under default conditions since I’m still unable to see it on my local setup. The next thing I would like to try here is creating a fresh test site–this will avoid any disruption to your live site and ensure that we’ve effectively got a “clean canvas” to work with.
- Please install a fresh copy of WordPress in a subdirectory (if you have cPanel hosting account there will probably be a one-click install to make this really easy)
- Don’t install anything except The Events Calendar, The Events Calendar PRO and Community Events
- Please also stick to a default theme–again, there’s no need to install anything else just yet!
- Try heading to the event submission form as a non-logged in visitor
- Can you replicate the same problem?
If you find you can replicate the problem under these conditions it would be awesome if you could stop and let me know so I can take a look while the site is still running under default conditions.
Thanks for your help!

MemberHi there Lisa and welcome to the forums!
Ugh, sorry for the trouble here. I imagine it’s tough losing a developer like that.
The license key is good for enabling automatic updates to your site. If you have the Personal License, then you get to install that on one site, but not two.
In this case, it sounds like you have it installed on your Development site. That means it can do automatic updates for The Events Calendar PRO, but the live site cannot.
If you have tested the update on the Development site, then you can manually upload the to the newer version of The Events Calendar PRO. Here is more information on how to manually update plugins, if you would like more guidance.
Or, if you prefer, you can also move your license from the Development site to the live site. Here’s an article that walks through that process in more details.
Does this help clarify things a bit and answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberHello there, Morgan! Thanks for reaching out and checking out the plugins. 🙂
Good question and, yes, Community Events is required to get front-end event submissions. However, if you have PRO as well, your visitors will also be able to create recurring events, plus you can customize the form using Additional Fields.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.

MemberHi there, Jennifer! Thanks for checking out the calendar plugins and for the kind words–I hope this is a fit for your projects. 🙂
Good question. The Events Calendar PRO does in fact support recurring events right out of the box. It allows you to repeat events in a variety of patterns (daily, weekly, monthly, and custom) and is pretty flexible. You might actually be interested in checking out this tutorial, which walks through how recurring events work.
