    That’s a good question–and ultimately, I think your hosting provider is best suited to answer it. For some reason, those uploads are being set to specific permissions and I bet the host will be able to shed some light on why and/or provide a way around that.

    Let me know if any other questions come up as a result of contacting the host.

    Hi Joshua,

    Thanks for getting in touch here and sharing this experience. I can see and relate with how frustrating it is to have something working and functional one day suddenly stop, especially when it’s a functionality as important as taking payments online. My sincere apologies up front for the disappointment.

    One thing that is particularly concerning here is the choice of a payment gateway. To my understanding, WooCommerce does not take credit card payments by default, but can be set up with a number of different payment gateways that do accept credit cards. You can see a list of all those options on the WooCommerce site. Note that Simplify Commerce is one choice of many other options.

    I only note this because Simplify Commerce is not a default payment gateway in WooCommerce. Rather, it’s an extension that needs to be set up. It’s very possible that it was setup by someone other than you or your client, but I do see that could be a real source for the confusion here.

    I appreciate you taking the time to note this with us, seeing as WooTickets does rely on WooCommerce for checkout. While it’s a shame that situation came up, it is good to know about poor experiences with specific vendors so we have that on our radar as well. Again, thanks for sharing here!

    Great questions. Have you tried checking out the Filter Bar settings? There is an option in there that will allow the filter bar and the filters to be open by default. You can find that under Events > Settings > Filters (screenshot). Will these work for you?

    i would really like to still use the autocomplete left open and with the reset issue fixed.

    I totally hear you here. That’s certainly on the radar for us and, as the last thread noted, we are indeed working on this. I have noted this thread in our ticketing system as well so we can try to follow up with you directly here when that is available. In the meantime, please stay tuned! 🙂

    Hi there, Daniel! Thanks for getting in touch and sorry for the trouble with importing here.

    Man, this is odd. I tried importing the same ID on my local setup and everything seemed to pull in correctly.

    That makes me wonder if there is a conflict with the theme or another plugin. I see you noted having tried activating a default WordPress theme and deactivating other plugins. Did you notice a difference under those conditions? How about when activate a default WordPress theme (like Twenty Fifteen) and deactivating all other plugins at the same time? Does the issue still come up then?

    If you would prefer, you can troubleshoot this on a fresh WordPress installation in a subdomain of your server so it doesn’t interfere with your live site.

    Let’s start here and see what we find. 🙂

    Hi there, Rene! Thanks for getting in touch and sorry for the trouble here. Let’s see if we can figure this out together. 🙂

    First off, will you please check to see that imported events are indeed set to automatically publish? Head over to Events > Settings > Facebook from the WordPress dashboard, and confirm that the default status for imported events under “Import Settings” is set to published. If it isn’t, please set it, save your changes and see if that makes a difference.

    Let’s start there and see what we find. 🙂

    Hi there naturesmediateam! Welcome back to the forums and thanks for getting in touch.

    What?! You mean you didn’t have an event in August 1749? 🙂

    We are actually working on a fix for soft 404s for an upcoming release. In the meantime, however, you can download this patch and install it as a plugin until it is officially released.

    Please give that a shot and let me know if that helps out.

    Absolutely! In fact, here is a nice example where pre_get_posts was used to randomize events in the main loop of a site. The same idea could be applied to the events loop using conditional wrappers for events loops.

    Here’s a great article in the WordPress Codex that walks through file permissions and how to change them. Take special note on the section on using a FTP client.

    If FTP isn’t available to you, then it could be through your hosting provider, who you can contact for further assistance in reaching and changing those files.
