Gotcha! Thanks for the explanation–this help a ton. 🙂

There is an area in the Events settings that will allow you to drop your HTML in the template without having to touch the template code. If you head to Events > Settings > Display, there is an editor in the Advanced Template Settings section where you can add HTML before the calendar begins. Give that a shot and see if that does the trick for you.

    Cheers!

    Hey Preston–thanks for following up!

Can you elaborate a little more on how Events are hijacking Tags? I tried setting up a Tag Cloud widget on my local installation and the widget appears to be working as I would expect with Posts and Events. Is it that you want tagged Events to be removed from the widget’s filter altogether?

    Thanks!

    Hi Rob,

We’re probably not the best people to give email advice, but I do know that SPF records do help with deliverability in cases where hosts are scanning for the identity domain of a sender.

I think your best bet here would be to get in touch with your emil provider. It is possible that a dedicated SMTP would be a benefit here, but that’s honestly getting outside what I would feel comfortable recommending in the context of this forum.

    I hope this helps!

    You’re spot on–it goes in functions.php. 🙂

It may or may not need the the opening PHP tag, depending on how your functions file is formatted.

Hello Denise! Welcome to the forums and sorry for the trouble here.

That’s certainly odd–one day the tickets are displayed on your events but the next day they disappear. Strange!

Sometimes hosting companies will make silent updates to your site–for example WordPress can be set to automatically update when a new version is available. Is it possible your site, theme or another plugin was updated automatically? Or perhaps your hosting package updated its PHP settings or something?

Either way, I see you’ve noted having tried activating a default WordPress theme (like Twenty Fifteen). Did you happen to notice any difference when you did that? How about when you deactivated all other plugins (except for The Events Calendar, WooCommerce and WooCommerce Tickets, of course)? Hoe about when you activate a default WordPress them and deactivate other plugins?

These steps are outlined in more detail in this article. Let’s start there and see what we find. 🙂

    Cheers!

Thanks for following up, Rob! This helps and I appreciate the extra info.

Since it seems to be working with some people and not others, it sounds more like an issue with either the email server or with the recipient’s incoming mail settings. WooCommerce hooks into the default WordPress wp_mail() function to send mail, so anything fishy would seem to suggest that it’s coming on the hosting side of things–whether that’s your side or the recipient’s side. However, since some people are indeed receiving emails, it would seem to be on the recipient’s side.

WooCommerce has a nice post on how to troubleshoot email issues:
    http://docs.woothemes.com/document/email-faq/

Perhaps the steps in there will help narrow the issue down a bit?

    Cheers!

Howdy Jeremy, and thanks for reaching out! We’re stoked you’re checking out the plugin and hope it’s a fit for you. 🙂

Good question. We have made a hefty effort to make the calendar SEO-friendly right out of the box. For example, all events include the proper meta content ion the header for Google to render the content as an event when it is parsed in search results.

For the most part, The Events Calendar and WordPress SEO are compatible, but there are a few ways in which they do conflict.

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂

    Cheers!

Hi there, Matt! Thanks for getting in touch and welcome to the forums. I hope you’ve been enjoying PRO so far. 🙂

I’m not quite sure I follow which page title and content you’re trying to add tio the template. Could you elaborate on that a little bit?

The default template serves as the foundation for all Event pages. Some of those pages are not actually pages, but archives (such as the full calendar views). That would mean that the loop you’ve added would not always render any content. Also, you may need to attach that loop to a specific query so the loop knows what to output.

I could be missing the point altogether, so please feel free to provide some more details on what you’re trying to do and I’d be happy to take another look.

    Cheers!
