    Hey there, reinier!

Would you mind posting support questions to our PRO support forum? We use this forum for Pre-Sales questions for those interested in purchasing the plugins. If you don’t have a premium license to post in the forums, then you can post to our support forum on WordPress.org, which we check every Wednesday.

I’ll go ahead and close this thread, but here are a few articles that might help you out in the meantime.

Hey there, James! Welcome back to the forums. ๐Ÿ™‚

Man, sorry you have to go through the process of a clean install–I know that’s never fun.

The good news is that you can do a straight export from WordPress under Tools > Export. Events, Venues and Organizers are separate post types, so make sure each one of those is exported and then import those into your fresh install. That should get you covered.

Those posts are saved to the wp_posts table, so they would be included along with the rest of the posts on your site, if you wanted to go the SQL route. ๐Ÿ™‚

Does this help? Please let me know.

    Cheers!

    Fantastic! Nice work, Mat. ๐Ÿ™‚

You’re spot on here. Awesome job noting that non-numeric characters were at play here. I know others will find this and your solution super helpful.

I’ll go ahead and close this thread but do please feel free to start a new one if other questions pop up and we’d be happy to help.

    Cheers!

    Hey there, Thierry!

Ah gotcha–thanks for clarifying. That helps a lot. ๐Ÿ™‚

I think the best way to get that format is to override the templates where those times are displayed. For example, changing the format on the event page itself would be:

    • Make a copy of theย single-event.php template. It is located at /plugins/the-events-calendar/views/single-event.php.
    • Make a new folder in your theme directory calledย tribe-events
    • Drop the copied file in that folder

Now that the template is in your theme, it can be customized to suit your needs. In this case, let’s remove this line:

    <?php echo tribe_events_event_schedule_details( $event_id, '<h3>', '</h3>' ); ?>

…and instead replace it with the event details in the order you want:

Will that work for you? Please let me know. ๐Ÿ™‚

Shoot! I thought that would help us find something.

I don’t want to fully rule out the possibility that some sort of caching is preventing this from working properly. I see you have both W3 Total Cache and Yoast SEO installed. Does your hosting provide any additional object caching? Either way, let’s try clearing the cache out from all those sources, deactivating them and trying again.

If that doesn’t reveal anything, then I think our next best route is to set up a clean install on a test server. Let me know how clearing cache goes first before we head down this road, and I’ll provide you with the steps, if needed.

    Cheers!

Ah, gotcha. Yeah, I think your best bet is to search and replace from the database itself.

There is a plugin that is supposed to clean out non-UTF-8 characters from posts, but it hasn’t been updated in a while and I’m not sure if it supports custom post types. Still, might be worth checking out.

    Hey there, Jonathan!

Are the invalid characters in the event post content itself or some other field? I imagine the cleanest way to do thisย would be manually, but you could also try doing a search and replace in the database for each specific character. There’s a plugin that might help make that a little more palatable.

Sorry I don’t have more of a concrete solution for you here, but does this at least help? Please let me know. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Cheers!

Hi there tracylove! Welcome back to the forums. ๐Ÿ™‚

Awesome, I’m glad you were able to track down the email in your junk folder. Preventing that from happening is using something that needs to come from your email server/host. You could send emails via a secure SMTP protocol and that might help as well. Unfortunately, there’s not much that can be done from the plugin’s end on that, but here’s a nice article on the WooCommerce site that helps break down email a little better.

How do I have the system automatically mark the order as โ€œCompleteโ€?

You might want to consider this add-on plugin for WooCommerce. Similarly, there is a snippet that is supposed to do that that can be added to yourย functions.phpย file.

Does this help answer your questions? Please let me know. ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi there, Mark! Welcome to the forums. ๐Ÿ™‚

That’s certainly odd! Will you please try running through the steps in our troubleshooting guide? I want to test for conflicts with your current theme and any other installed plugins.

The major red flag to me is that your calendar lives here:
    http://www.cmzoo.org/index.php/cmzoo_events/category/zoo-events/list/

…but when performing a search, it goes here:
    http://www.cmzoo.org/index.php/cmzoo_events/category/zoo-events/list/index.php/http://www.cmzoo.org/cmzoo_events/category/zoo-events/list?post_type=tribe_events&tribe_events_cat=zoo-events&eventDisplay=list

Notice that the search parameters are not in the URL. A correct URL would look something like this:
    http://www.cmzoo.org/index.php/cmzoo_events/category/concert/list/?action=tribe_list&tribe_paged=1&tribe_event_display=list&tribe-bar-date=2015-12-01

In fact, following that last link does take you to the correct page that should be coming up. That makes me wonder if there is a conflict at play, and those testing steps will help identify where it’s coming from,

Let’s start there and see what we find. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Cheers!

Hey there tbonneville–nice to see you again and hope all is well. ๐Ÿ™‚

Good question. You can change the date and time separators on the Events > Settings > Display screen. Here’s a screenshot of those fields. Go ahead and change those values and you should be able to get the format you’re looking for.

    Cheers!

    If I didn’t mention it already–nice site! I love how it’s coming along. ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks for helping elaborate on this. That helps a lot.

I tried using the Tag Cloud widget on my local setup and it seems to be working well with both posts and events there. I see you noted having tried activating a default WordPress theme (like Twenty Fifteen) and deactivating all other plugins. Did you happen to see any difference under those conditions? How about when you activate a default WordPress themeย and deactivate other plugins together?

These steps are outlined in greater detail here. When you test, I think it would be a good idea toย re-save your permalinks each time and make sure the site’s cache is flushed, if it uses caching.

Let’s give that a shot and see what we find. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Cheers!
