MemberHey Richard–thanks for following up!
Yeah, I’m sorry for the bad news there. We’re looking into ways for how we can better integrate multilingual tools like WPML into The Events Calendar but, as you might imagine, there’s a lot that needs to go into that on both ends to make it happen.
Editing the templates to make them multilingual could possibly work. While I don’t have any examples of that, we do have documentation for modifying calendar templates in our Themer’s Guide that I would suggest checking out.
Sorry for the bad news! I realize that this is likely a huge letdown for you, so we’d be willing to offer you a refund if The Events Calendar isn’t fully living up to your needs. Just email us at support [at] theeventscalendar.com, and reference this thread with your order number and we can handle that for you.
Cheers!

MemberHi Plattion, thanks for following up!
Actually, it’s a little simpler than that: you don’t need multiple accounts to import event from Eventbrite into WordPress. One account will do and will allow you to import events from any Eventbrite account on an individual basis. Here’s a deeper dive into how importing works.
On the other hand, ff you want to push events from WordPress to Eventbrite, that’s where you’ll be limited to a single account. I’m not aware of any workarounds for that, and am not sure that having multiple installations of the plugin would be the solution since it would still be the same underlying code.
bscmanagement: would it be possible for you to open a new support ticket for your question? You do not need PRO for Eventbrite Tickets to work, so it sounds like you have another conflict that will be better addressed in a separate thread. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberHey there, John!
I’d love to help out here, but I think we’re beyond the level of support I can provide for a customization. I’m not aware of any tutorials that cover this specific topic, but you’re certainly welcome to check out our documentation for further reference. I’d also suggest heading over to the WooCommerce docs as well.
Also, just a note that we are always taking new feature requests on our Uservoice page–if you have any specific requests we should look into, please add them there and we’d be happy to check them out. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberHey John! Thanks for following up. 🙂
That’s an excellent question. I have to admit that it’s a little over my own head, but I have connected with one of our developers and was able to get a couple of tips to help you on your way here:
- Tickets are regular products, so additional ticket-specific data should live as product meta data and WordPress’s standard blog post meta API can be used for capturing that data.
- The Events Calendar won’t just accept the extra fields being added. You’ll need to add your own logic, possibly on save_post or similar, to tee that up.
I hope this helps!

MemberHi Jonathan,
Thanks for sharing! I love that you’ve taken the time to not just report the issue but propose a solid solution as well–you rock. 🙂
The calendar itself is a custom archive, so it would definitely be strange for has_archive to return false like that. I’ll make that’s noted for us to look into but, in the meantime, thanks again for posting your solution–I’m sure others will find it useful as well.
Cheers!

MemberHey there, Plattion! Thanks for checking out Eventbrite Tickets. 🙂
Good questions. Unfortunately, you can only connect one account at a time. However, once the plugin has been activated and configured, any event from any account can be imported manually using the Import: Eventbrite option in the Events menu.
And, yes, any event that is either created in The Events Calendar or imported into The Events Calendar will definitely be compatible with any of the event widgets. I do want to note that the Mini Calendar widget requires The Events Calendar PRO, which is a separate plugin.
Does this help answer your questions? Do you have any others I can help with? Please let me know. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberHi Jeroen! Thanks for getting in touch–it’s awesome you’re checking out the WP Ecommerce Tickets plugin and I hope it’s a good fit for you. 🙂
Good question. We are looking into the idea of adding ticket meta to our ticketing framework. In fact, we started testing it this month and hope to have it out in a future version (though I’m not exactly sure which one it is planned for).
For the time being, though, I’m afraid that having a form inside of an event that works with checkout would take some custom development to accomplish. It’s possible you could integrate something like Gravity Forms and embed a form into the checkout screen where customers can select a shirt size. I think the heavy lifting will come in where that data is stored and if you want it to be associated to the event post.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.
Cheers!

MemberHello Jamila–welcome to the forums and thanks for getting in touch! I’m stoked you’ve been testing out Community Events and you raise some good questions here.
1) When a user submits a new event, they get an on-screen notice that the event has been submitted.
For now, it would require changing the template. I wonder if it would be better to change the notice in this case to “Event submitted for review.” That would communicate where the draft went and they could still click the My Events link at the top of the page to see all submitted events with a status.
2) When a user submits a new event, the name of the event is shown on the next screen, with links for View and Edit. However, for sites where submitted events are pending Admin approval per the settings, these two links don’t work.
I wasn’t able to replicate the same issue using the default Twenty Fifteen theme. Clicking both links allowed me (signed in as a non-admin Subscriber) to view and edit the event I had submitted. Is it possible you’re hitting a conflict with your theme or another plugin? You can follow these steps to test that further.
3) Is any email or other notification provided to the user (not the admin) when an event is submitted to the queue, or when an event moves from pending to published? How is a user to know when an event is published?
No, there is currently not a notification right out of the box that will alert the author of an event submission once the event has been moved from Review to Published. However, you may be able to get that using a plugin for status notifications, like this one. That may require you to to set the default role of registered event submitters to a role other than Subscriber, depending on the plugin being used for the notifications.
I do see that this has also been suggested in our new feature forum. It needs some more votes, so I’d definitely encourage you to add yours. 🙂
4) Does any of the above functionality change if we set it to “draft” instead of “pending review”?
Good question–no, none of the functionality changes when setting submissions to Draft by default instead of Pending Review.
Also, if a user goes back to edit an Approved/Published event, does it automatically go back in the queue for review?
No, at that point, it stays Published. To be honest, I’m surprised this hasn’t been suggested before. If you have a moment, I’d love for you to add it to our feature request forum so it can be considered.
Thanks so much for these questions! I can tell you’ve thoroughly tested the plugin and everything you’ve mentioned is excellent feedback.
Cheers!

MemberSweet, I’m glad that helped! I know exactly how easy it is to miss something when you’ve been working so hard, so no worries at all. 🙂
Yeah, there will definitely be some quirks when attempting to mix the functionality of both List and Month view together. We’re a little limited in how much we can help with custom development, but if you bump into a specific question about how a function works or want to run an idea by us, please feel free to start a new thread and we’d be happy to help as best we can!
Cheers,

MemberHi charrame!
I have to be honest–I’m having a tough time understanding what to look for. There’s a bit of a language barrier between us and the link you sent in your last reply doesn’t seem to work. Is there anything else you can do to help me understand what the exact issue is? In other words, what are you expecting the form to do that it is not doing?
Sorry and thanks!
