MemberHi Wyatt–I see my last reply was marked as the correct answer, so I’ll go ahead and close this thread. Please feel free to start a new thread in our PRO forum if you continue to hit any trouble here and we’d be happy to help. 🙂

MemberAlright, I have something for you. 🙂
You can still use the first snippet I gave you yesterday (with the updated priority), but get rid of the last snippet for rewrites and use these two instead (changing the values as you see fit):
https://gist.github.com/barryhughes/16f4ad68201593583ba0
https://gist.github.com/barryhughes/2be50bc69c29bd5747dc#file-change-event-slugs-in-links-php
I gave the three snippets a whirl (after flushing permalinks) and everything seemed to be renamed and redirect as expected. Let me know if this helps!

MemberHi Wyatt, thanks for getting in touch!
I’d definitely be happy to help you out here. As a first course of action, will you please following these troubleshooting steps? Sounds like there could be a conflict with a theme or another installed plugin, but just want to rule that out.
By the way, we typically use the Pre-Sales forum to answer questions related to purchasing our premium plugins. I’m going to move this thread to our PRO forum to avoid any confusion. 🙂

MemberHi Simon,
Just wanted to poke in and let you know I’m still looking at this and will report back when I have more to share — thanks for waiting!

MemberOh wow! I’m glad that the issue seems to have been resolved, but we will certainly take a look at this as well to make sure there isn’t something we can do to prevent that from happening in the future.
Thanks so much for reaching out and letting us know. 🙂

MemberHi Michele,
Oh shoot, sorry for the confusion here! You can leave the recurrence settings completely blank and set the event end date to September 13 (screenshot) to get that working properly.
Let me know if that helps do the trick. 🙂

MemberHey there, John!
So sorry for the mix-up here. Venues and Organizers should be imported separately and before events are imported to the CSV Importer (Events > Import). I can see how that would be super confusing, but you can select which post type is being imported before attaching the CSV file (screenshot).
Is that what you think is happening? Let me know if that helps sort things out and I’d be happy to keep working on it with you. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberHi Marcus!
Good question. The Events Calendar doesn’t include anything for social media integration right out of the box, though there are ways to integrate social sharing with other plugins. And, while I haven’t tested it personally, it appears that the Social Media Auto Publish plugin offers the ability to auto-share posts to social media and supports custom post types. I would certainly give that a look as well.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberHi northwest—Geoff from Modern Tribe here. Brook brought this thread to my attention and I wanted to chime in as well.
First off, I want to apologize for any waiting you’ve had to do while we work with you on this. You’ve clearly let us know that we’ve failed to meet your expectations when it comes to responding to you here and I’m really sorry about that. If this has given you any impression at all that we aren’t taking the issue seriously or that it lacks urgency on our end, then I sincerely regret that and want to assure you that me, Brook and everyone else on the team is actively working to sort things out.
The point you raised with the PHP error message you shared earlier helped confirm an issue that we are currently working on and plan to include in a coming maintenance release. Thankfully that issue has nothing to do with the compatibility issues we’re also discussing here, which is what we’re working hard to fix.
We expect to release a fix Eventbrite Tickets update that specifically addresses the compatibility concerns very shortly—in fact, it’s in testing now and we expect the release is imminent. We’re right there with you and the loss of compatibility came as a surprise to us as well. The heart of the matter is that we simply were unaware of the impending change to the Eventbrite API and certainly did not expect that it would break compatibility with all versions of our plugins, past and present.
I realize that manually creating links between WordPress and Eventbrite is not just a pain, but unacceptable as far as how we would expect things to function. As Brook pointed out, we do have an early (not fully tested) version of the next release available to download and use today. We generally would not suggest using software that hasn’t been fully tested, but I also understand that you’re in a pinch and might find that a good solution for now to get compatibility up and running. If you go this route, I highly recommend heeding Brook’s advice to back up your site and data and even go so far as to install it on a test version of your site before installing it on your live site—just to cover all bases.
I really appreciate your patience while we work on this as diligently as possible. I really do hope you see that we are working on this as quickly (and thoroughly) as we can. Recognizing that you have felt let down here by us, I would like to offer you a refund on your license. I would definitely be bummed to lose you as a customer (especially this way) but want to make sure we’re offering you every option we have to do things right by you. Let me know if that’s something you would prefer and we can process that for you.
Cheers,
GeoffGeoff
MemberHey Simon!
Yeah, the priority was the missing piece. The KB article was looking specifically at non-PRO views which wouldn’t necessarily need that. 🙂
The slug redirects were apparently also written for non-PRO views. I don’t have a solution right off the bat, but am looking into it and will give you an update.
Cheers!
