    Hi Len,

Thanks for getting in touch — these are great questions!

You can absolutely continue to use the plugins after the license has expired. The only thing you lose access to is future plugin updates and access to our premium support forums that are hosted on this site.

I totally understand that the price point can be tough on some budgets. That said, we love working with nonprofits and actually have a nonprofit program I’d encourage you to look at. If accepted, we’d be happy to grant your organization with a free license for either Events Calendar PRO or Event Tickets Plus.

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.:)

    Cheers!

    Hi Alex,

Great question! I personally have not tested our plugins with ESS Grid, nor did I see any other threads about it.

That said, I would suggest downloading The Events Calendar which is completely free. It’s the basis for all our other plugins, so if it works with ESS Grid, then chances are that it works with the others.

I’ll also note that all our products come backed with a full refund within 30 days of purchase. That would give you a good amount of time to test things out and return them if they do not work for you for any reason at all.

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂

    Cheers!

    Hi Alexander,

Thanks for following up! And thanks for testing the default theme as well — definitely let us know if the theme developer has any questions we can answer and we would be happy to do as as best we can.

    1. TEC is obviously using two different folders, namely “events” and “veranstaltungen (german)”.

Can you clarify this for me? The Events Calendar uses a single folder.

I do see that your main menu has a link called “Veranstaltungen” and it goes targets the /events slug. The sidebar has the Event List widget and I see it has a link called “Mehr anzeigen …” that targets the /veranstaltungen slug.

Your main menu needs to be changed to point to /veranstaltungen instead because I see in your settings that is what you have calendar set to as your main calendar. Otherwise, you can change your settings to point to /events instead and that will make both links point to the same place.

    2. I have one monthly recurring event. If see for instance one event and I click the option “see all”, I am getting a 404 message.

You may need to open a new thread for this one, but will you please try following the steps outlined in this post to see if it helps resolve the 404 issue?

    Thanks so much!

    Hey Tyler,

    Thanks for following up!

It’s not the most graceful solution, but I achieved what i needed using jQuery clone to put the ticket form where ever I need it.

Glad to hear it, man! Nice work and thanks for letting me know.

So far we are pretty disappointed with this forced+paid upgrade. We aren’t really seeing any benefit in it’s new feature set over what we previously had, and the features that we did use are no longer available.

I’m definitely sorry to hear that. I do believe Event Tickets Plus offers a significant upgrade over WooCommerce Tickets, personally. Things like ticket global stock, custom registration fields, attendee reports, simple RSVPs and support for default and customer post types alone are major features that were previously unavailable, but I totally understand and can appreciate that the changes are not going to suit everyone the same way.

To my knowledge, the solution to move tickets was a temporary was a temporary snippet provided as a customization recommendation rather than a support feature. Were there other features that were removed that you are missing in Event Tickets Plus? Please feel free to let me know and I’d be happy to share those with the team so we have that on record.

    Thanks a ton,
    Geoff

    Hi Krystyna,

    Thanks for the extra details!

Yes, by default, The Events Calendar follows the same permissions for subscribers, contributors, authors, editors and administrators that WordPress offers right out of the box.

It sounds like you are using the User Role Editor plugin to customize your permissions. Is that correct?

If you are, then you will want to head to the Users > User Role Editor screen, select the user role you want to edit, then make sure they have all permissions for the “Events” custom post type.

Here’s a screenshot of that screen and the permissions that you can assign to the roles you select.

Does this make sense and will it work for you? Please let me know. 🙂

    Cheers!

Ah, thanks for clarifying! That would certainly explain why everything looked like it was working.

You might want to try making sure that the Default Events Template is selected on the Events > Settings > Display screen. That can help avoid theme conflicts in some cases.

Also, please feel free to send me a screenshot of the code that is displayed and I’d be happy to see if that gives me any clues, or perhaps any questions that the theme developer can help answer.

    Thanks!

    Hey Jorge,

Glad to hear this helps! I wouldn’t go so far as to say this is “milking the cow” but I do hope you find great value in using the plugins and enjoy the hard work and effort we put into crafting what we believe are excellent plugins.

I’ll go ahead and close this thread but let us know if any other questions come up and we’d be happy to help. 🙂

    Hi Tyler,

Great question! I’m afraid that Event Tickets Plus does not have the same snippet option for adding the ticket form in multiple places that WooCommerce Tickets had. Instead, Event Tickets Plus allows you to choose where the ticket form is located using the option on the Events > Settings > Tickets screen:

Sorry I do not have a workaround for you here, but does this at least help clarify the change between WooCommerce Tickets and Event Tickets Plus? Please let me know.

    Thanks,
    Geoff

Hi Krystyna, nice to see you again!

What role do your members have in WordPress? For example, are they registered as Administrators, or some other role? I’m curious because different roles have different publishing permissions in WordPress and knowing what role they are assigned to will help me understand the issue a little better.

    Thanks so much!

    Hi Leanne,

    Thanks for getting in touch!

Sorry for the confusion here! The Events Calendar actually only comes with one template option: Default Events Template. All the other options are ones provided by the theme, which The Events Calendar recognizes and allows you to select.

In other words, all the other options you see in video are ones where the theme being used in the demo had additional page template options. The Events Calendar itself only offers the Default Events Template.

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂

    Cheers!

    Hi Jake,

Sorry for the confusion! When you purchased Facebook Events, we also provided you with a free license for Event Aggregator, which is already in your account and ready to use.

You can find the license by logging int your account and navigating to My Account > License Keys.

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂

    Cheers!

    Hi @harrogatenews,

Thanks for getting in touch — I’m happy to look into your license status with you to see what’s up.

I see that the license is currently registered to: http://www.harrogatenews.co.uk

Is that the site you are attempted to activate the license on? Or are you attempting to activate the license on another site?

Please let me know and I would be happy to look into it further with you.

    Thanks so much!
    Geoff
