    Hey Ian,

I’m glad you reached out. The update from 3.9 to 3.10 was a big one as was the update from 3.11 to the current version of 3.12.

There are quite a few things to consider when updating, especially if you have customizations to the calendar. Do you have any of those? You can check by heading to your theme directory and looking for a tribe-events folder. It’s also worth checking for other installed plugins or functions in your functions.php file that may customize the functionality of the plugin.

The biggest change was that we refactored the code and updated namespacing. In other words, many of our functions and classnames that worked before are now deprecated and replaced with a newer name.

I would recommend setting up a test environment and checking from there so there is no interruption to your live site. From there, please do read the release notes for the last few releases since 3.9 to see exactly what’s changed and how those may have affected any customizations.

Sorry for the trouble so far, but please do let me know if this helps and if you have any other questions as you review the changes.

    Thanks!
    Geoff

    Hello Kent,

Yes, that is exactly what WP-Ecommerce Tickets will do. It integrates directly with WP-Ecommerce which allows you to sell tickets the same way you see them displayed on that link your showed me.

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂

    Cheers!

    Howdy Emanuel!

We’d be happy to help. First off, though, I just want to check that you do indeed have an active license for one of our products (e.g. PRO). We use the Pre-Sales forum here to help answer questions about our premium plugin features and take technical support questions in our premium forums, which are open to those with a license.

If you have a license, great! I’ll move this thread to the PRO forum and we can go from there. If not, will you please post to our WordPress.org support forum? We hit that forum once a week and would be happy to meet you over there.

In the meantime, please do check out our Themer’s Guide which includes a great deal of information on how to customize the calendar styles.

    Cheers!

    Hi Christopher,

Good question! I have not personally worked with the WC Cancel Order plugin. However, if it works with WooCommerce product types right out of the box, then I would imagine Tickets would work as well, since they are simply registered as WooCommerce products rather than a special product type. In other words, Tickets should behave just the same as any other Product in the WooCommerce catalog.

I’d definitely give that a look and try testing it yourself with WooCommerce in development mode so you can test purchases without them being accounted in your reports.

The one caveat I’ll throw out there is that tickets are emailed out once a transaction is completed. That means the customer will technically still have a ticket despite the order being cancelled. Just means you would need to be extra careful about checking the Ticket ID at the door.

Sorry I don’t have a concrete answer for you, but does this at least help shed some light on things? Please let me know. 🙂

    Cheers!

Hello Andreas, and welcome to the forums!

I’m so sorry for the trouble here. I do indeed see that this is a bug that has been logged in out system. I have included this thread in the ticket so we can follow-up with you when we’ve worked on a fix for it. I’ll mark this thread as Pending Fix in the meantime.

Thanks for reaching and and letting us know!

Thats a rad idea! It sounds like there could be a way to make it happen with custom development, especially if that’s something you’re able and willing to do. I’d still like to see that in the feature request forum because then it would get on our radar as far as looking into it if others find interest as well.

I’ll go ahead and close this thread but thanks again for reaching out and for sharing the idea! Feel free to hit us up with a new thread if any other questions comes up and we’d be happy to help. 🙂

    Cheers!

in reply to: Events Calendar Pro Multisite Skinning #1012746

Hello Veron and thanks for getting in touch. 🙂

    1) Does Events Calendar Pro work with Multisite?

Yes! In fact, we have a multisite license that would be perfect for you.

    2) Can you skin each sites calendar independently.

Absolutely. The way we treat template overrides in the calendar is to store them directly in the theme directory rather than the plugin. That allows you to override templates on a per-site basis. Same goes for CSS–those styles will be stored directly in the theme rather than the plugin, so you can skin those on an individual basis. Check out our Themer’s Guide for more info on how the template and style overrides work. Lots of great info in there. 🙂

Does this help answer your questions? Please let me know.

    Cheers!

    Hi Cat,

Good question! Our Facebook Events plugin will bring events from Facebook into WordPress but not the other way around.

There are a number of third-party plugins that do share WordPress posts to Facebook. The key is to find one that support custom post types, which is what events are. This one, for example, might be worth looking at.

Does this help? Will this work for you? Please let me know. 🙂

    Cheers!

    Hello Hans-Peter,

That is a great question. Unfortunately, none of our ticketing plugins support collecting information for each attendee in a single purchase.

It is indeed something we are in the process of building. I don’t have a timetable for when that will be released, but I would certainly encourage you to add your vote for that feature and you will receive updates as we make progress.

Sorry for the bad news, but does this help answer your question? Please let me know.

    Cheers,

Hello Andrea and thanks for reaching out! I’m stoked to hear you’re looking into PRO and Community Events. 🙂

PRO does indeed include a number of widgets, one of which features events from a specific venue. You could certainly add as many of those widgets as you would like to feature specific locations.

Similarly, the Event Advanced List widget will allow you to filter and display events only from certain organizers, categories or tags. That would be another option to consider.

I have seen reports of issues between The Events Calendar and Divi in the past, but those were a while ago and I haven’t seen anything pop up recently. Then again, it’s always a good idea to test. In fact, trying out the free version of The Events Calendar is a good place to start since it is the core foundation for all the other calendar plugins. We also have a full refund policy on any purchase within 30 days with receipt, so that should give you a fair amount of time to test the premium plugins as well.

Speaking of purchasing, you mentioned being a non-profit. Please do check out our non-profit program to see if you qualify. If you do, you could get the plugins for free. 🙂

Does this help answer your questions? Please let me know.

    Cheers!

Hi Nitin and thanks for reaching out.

That’s an excellent idea! I wish I could say that there’s a way to do that out of the box but I’m afraid not. It would be some sort of hybrid between our Facebook Events and Community Events plugins, which is an interesting combination.

I’m sorry for the bad news, but perhaps you would be willing to share that idea on our feature request forum? I’m interested to see if others would find that useful as well and, if so, how that might work.

    Thanks!

Hi @Dylan, thanks for following up!

Just curious, but is that link you provided a different calendar from The Events Calendar? It certainly appears to be different and, if it is, then I’m not really sure that The Events Calendar widget could link directly to another calendar without some custom development. For that, I would probably suggest looking at our Themer’s Guide as a means of getting started.

Let me know if that’s the case and we can go from there. 🙂

    Thanks!
