MemberHi Ian,
Shoot, sorry about that!
Will you please try running through these steps for me? Specifically, I want to see if you still get the 500 error when you are using a default WordPress theme (like Twenty Fifteen) with all other plugins deactivated. If you are, please let me see the site in that state.
Also, the answer to this question will help as well:
Secondly, do you have any custom functions for the calendar in functions.php or custom template overrides? Just want to make sure before we dig much deeper. You can check for custom templates by looking for a folder called tribe_events in your them directory.
Thanks!

MemberHi @foothills,
It looks like that gap is coming from the theme’s styles. You can override it with this:
.events-archive .l-canvas.sidebar_none .l-section { padding: 0 40px !important }Let me know if that helps!

MemberHi @ckas,
I would wager that the custom development was based on things that have deprecated in the latest version of the calendar. You may be able to restore your functionality by reverting to your previously installed release–or work with your new developer to update the custom development for the latest releases.
Either way, we do have a list of customizers if you are looking for additional help.
I’ll go ahead and close this thread since it seems we’ve been able to pin this down to custom development, but do please feel free to start a new thread if any other questions pop up and we’d be happy to help.
Thanks,

MemberHi Fabian,
Thanks getting in touch! I’d be happy to help–but will you please post this in our Events Calendar PRO forum? We use the Pre-Sales forum to answer questions about the features of our premium plugins for those interested in purchasing them. The PRO forum is where we field technical questions like this.
If you have not purchased one of our premium plugins, you can post in our open source forum. We review that forum weekly to check for bug reports. If you need more in-depth support you will need to purchase a license.
Often users can find answers to by searching our knowledgebase. You can also search our premium forums to see if another user has posted about a similar issue. If you’re having trouble with plugin functionality, the best place to start is by testing for a conflict.
Thanks!

MemberHey there, Terry!
Hmm, the navigation styling seems to work with a default WordPress installation using the Twenty Fifteen theme. For example, here’s a screenshot of how the “Events” item in the navigation is bolded when the calendar is the current page.
The same should be true with your theme as well, assuming it is consistent with WP’s default nav menu logic, then it should work right out of the box. My assumption, however, is that the theme has customized this in some way which is preventing the styling from happening.
Sorry to bounce you back-and-forth. It seems like if it works in default WordPress, then it should work in the other theme as well. Let me know if that’s not the case for some reason!

MemberHey Christian,
Yes, absolutely! You can upgrade your licenses at any time directly in your account here on this site when you’re ready. In fact, here’s a guide that walks through that process in much greater detail.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me me know. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberInteresting question! Unfortunately, end dates/times are required when publishing an event. I do see that there is a similar sort of topic in our feature request forum. I’d suggest adding your vote to it because it could use more people chiming in.
Sorry about that, but does this help answer your question? Please let me know.
Thanks,

MemberHi Sven, thanks for reaching out!
Good question. I believe MailChimp’s RSS-to-Email feature will use the RSS feed from The Events Calendar and allow you to set the frequency for how often those emails send. So, for example, you could set the email to go out once a month and it would distribute the current feed of events for that time period.
Will that do the trick? Let me know!

MemberHi Brian,
I think there might be a slight oddity in the way that event is configured. The events says it lasts 269 days, starting on October 1. So, technically, it is both an October and November events which explains why it is displayed in both months. Is it possible that the event is actually 1 day and repeats every month, or is it supposed to be last 269 days?
Thanks!

MemberHello Vicki and thanks for getting in touch!
There’s a link to the full calendar at the end of the list (screenshot). Are you looking to add a different link, or is that the one you need?
Thanks!
GeoffGeoff
MemberHi Chris,
I’m not seeing an obvious URL for those sites. It’s possible you will need to either work with the manager(s) of those sites to get the URL or–if that’s you–consult with the event solutions being used on those sites to see how to produce those URLs, if they exist.
Sorry I don’t have a concrete answer for you here, but I’m hoping this at least sheds some light on where to get an answer.
Cheers,

MemberHi Nicky and thanks for getting in touch! I’m stoked to see you’re looking at The Events Calendar and I hope it’s a good fit for your site. 🙂
Yes, there is a way to highlight the next 5 upcoming events on your homepage without the full calendar. The events list widget is perfect for that–it allows you to embed a list of 1-10 events in your sidebar. The good news is that’s already included in The Events Calendar, so you don’t need to buy anything to start using that right away!
Our Events Calendar PRO add-on includes a more advanced version of that same widget that allows you to filter that list by specific categories and tags. It also includes shortcodes you can use to embed the widget on any page or post instead of just a sidebar.
You can read more info on the list widget (and it’s premium version) in this guide.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.
Cheers!

MemberHi Peter,
I’d be happy to help!
If you’re using WooCommerce and want to sell tickets with your events, then I would suggest checking out our WooCommerce Tickets add-on.
It sounds like you’re also using Facebook so, if you have events there that you would like to import into your site, you could use our Facebook Events add-on as well.
Are there any other features you’re looking for? Let me know and I can help point you in the right direction.
Thanks!
