Hi, I’m trying to import events from this website: http://www.centenarycentre.com/whats-on/. I have tried entereing various URLs on which the event info appears on this site, and also via some .ics files i have downloaded from the site, but I always get this error message. This was the main (only) reason I bought this plugin so I could gather evetn info from this website, so I hope to find a way to do it!
Thanks for your help.

Sorry for the trouble here. I was able to import events from that site using this URL in the iCal Importer settings:
Does that work for you as well? Let me know and I hope it does the trick!

that worked, but how did you find this URL? And how can I find the right URLs on other sites, such as http://www.peelheritagetrust.net/events? and this one? http://www.visitisleofman.com/whatson/events.aspx.Thanks for help

November 10, 2015 at 6:54 am #1023695GeoffMemberHi Chris,
I found the URL by visiting the site you provided. clicking on the “Subscribe by Filtered Calendar” button and selecting the “Add to Apple Calendar” option. That provided me the link I needed and assume it would be similar for the other sites you provided as well.
The main idea is that you need a URL that points to an iCal link–each site may provide that a little differently, but they have to have a link to an iCal/ics file in order for it to work. 🙂
Cheers!

sounds easy, but I can’t find any. Can you see a link on this listing http://www.visitisleofman.com/whatson/events.aspxor this one? http://www.manxradio.com/community/
Regards
Chris
November 11, 2015 at 10:19 am #1024272GeoffMemberHi Chris,
I’m not seeing an obvious URL for those sites. It’s possible you will need to either work with the manager(s) of those sites to get the URL or–if that’s you–consult with the event solutions being used on those sites to see how to produce those URLs, if they exist.
Sorry I don’t have a concrete answer for you here, but I’m hoping this at least sheds some light on where to get an answer.
Cheers,
