MemberHi Brandon,
Thanks for getting in touch!
The plugin will attempt to use one of your theme’s page templates by default. You can switch to the plugin’s calendar template instead by heading to Events > Settings > Display and that template does not include a sidebar.

Cheers!

MemberActually, scratch that, I was incorrect about the sub-site installation of a plugin. Sorry about that!
The bottom line is that you probably should have a Multisite License, but that you can still use the Business License. Our messaging in the admin is admittedly not great in that respect and may be something we consider revisiting down the line.
In the meantime, though, your Business License will indeed not allow you to enable auto-updates in the Network admin, I’m afraid. That is where the Multisite License will do the trick.
Sorry again for the bad info up front, but I hope this helps!

MemberHey Scott,
Yeah, multisite allows you to install site-specific plugins, though you need to enable the Plugins screen for the sub-sites:
https://codex.wordpress.org/Multisite_Network_Administration#Plugins
The Multisite License is $349, which is a difference of $200. So, Business would be more economical for sure in your case.
Cheers!

MemberCool, thanks for following up, Scott!
Yeah, it does indeed sounds as though you are running the Business License on the network level in that case. So, yes, even though you are within the three site limit that a Business License provides, installing the plugin on the network level is going to give you error notices because the three sites are intended to be separate sites rather than sites on a multisite network.
There’s really no reason why you can’t continue to use the Business License — however, you will either need to disregard those messages or install and register the plugins on each sub-site individually if you want the messages to go away. Totally up to you and, either way, the plugins will continue to function.
Does this make sense and help clarify things? Please let me know. 🙂
Cheers,

MemberYou bet! Happy to help and I’m looking forward to seeing if the snippet works out. My fingers are crossed. 🙂

MemberHey Scott,
Thanks for reaching out!
Just to confirm: you have a Business License of the plugins, but have installed them on the network level of a WordPress multisite installation? Is that correct?
If so, you will indeed get some messaging that is inconsistent or incorrect because the Multisite License level is what is needed on a multisite installation. Let’s confirm if that’s the situation though and go from there.
Thanks!

MemberHi Jules,
Thanks again for the heads up! This is indeed a scenario where Avada’s custom CSS is conflicting with Event Ticket’s CSS styling. If you haven’t let Avada know about it as well, please do, but here is some CSS that should help you get by in the meantime:
.tribe-tickets-rsvp .tribe-ticket.quantity { width: 100% !important; }You can add that either to your style.css file or on the Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS screen. Here’s a screenshot of how that looks when I tested it on your site. Let me know if it works for you as well. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberYes, absolutely. You can see a list of all the available shortcodes for views in the post I provided earlier:

MemberHey Jules!
It looks like this thread is an exact duplicate of another one you submitted at about the same time:
I’ll close this one and reply to you in the other thread shortly. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberHey Andy,
Absolutely. The shortcodes allow you to embed the calendar view anywhere, which then allows you to make one of your own pages the main calendar, if you prefer to not link to the auto-generated page (though that will still exist).

MemberHey Andy,
Good morning and welcome to the forums! I’m glad to hear you’re considering Events Calendar PRO for your project. 🙂
Events Calendar PRO does indeed include additional layouts:
- Day View: Displays a list view of events for a specific day
- Week View: Displays events for a given week in a horizontal agenda-like layout
- Map View: Displays events on a full-width Google Map with a correlating list of events below it
- Photo View: A masonry-style grid layout of events
What the plugin does not do it change the layout of the existing event details page, but you can do that today with The Events Calendar (free) either using template overrides to create a custom layout, or by heading to Events > Settings > Display and selecting one of your theme’s page templates with a sidebar as the calendar template.
Events Calendar PRO absolutely does include shortcodes that would allow you to embed the calendar’s List View on any WordPress page or post. Here’s a full overview of the shortcodes available in the plugin:

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberHey Steve,
Thanks for getting in touch!
Oh wow, I had honestly never come across Charitable before, but it looks neat. I am afraid, though, that Event Tickets Plus is not able to integrate with it the same way that it does with WooCommerce and other WordPress e-commerce plugins.
To answer your question about multisites, you have a couple of options. One is to purchase the Multisite License, install the plugin at the network level, and then activate and manage the plugin at the network level. Another option is to purchase the Business License (which allows you to install the plugin on up to 3 sites) and install the plugin on each sub-site. That second option will definitely save you money, but could be cumbersome as far as managing the plugin on multiple sites. totally up to you because either way works!
You also mentioned being a charity, so I thought I would also encourage you to check out our nonprofit program. If you qualify and are accepted, we would be happy to grant you a complimentary license for either Events Calendar PRO or Event Tickets Plus, which would definitely save you some extra money and might make your decision even easier. 🙂
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.
Cheers!
