    Awesome! Nice job finding that post and sorry I didn’t spot that sooner — you defintely beat me to it. 🙂

    Cheers and let us know if any other questions pop up. We’d be happy to help.

    Hi Monica,

    The article you linked to mentions the original responsive breakpoint was at 768px. Our template has at least 1155px of horizontal space yet the calendar was still breaking into the mobile view. Any thoughts on why that might be happening?

    Even though the page appears to be growing in width, there is markup in the theme’s CSS that is telling the page to be a minimum width.

    I see that the page is wrapped in a CSS class called container and when the browser reaching various widths, then the CSS changes the width of that class accordingly.

    For example, here are a few of the CSS rules being applied to the container class when I inspect it in Developer Tools:

    @media (min-width: 1200px)
    .container {
    width: 1170px;
    }
    @media (min-width: 992px)
    .container {
    width: 970px;
    }
    @media (min-width: 800px)
    .container {
    width: 750px;
    }

    This may have something to do with how the calendar switches between large and small screen views, but I’m not familiar with the theme’s code enough to know that for sure.

    I have responsive breakpoint turned off and have reverted to our custom template for the calendar page. When we scroll over an event title, some comment markup appears. Like this:

    /*>*//*

    That, too, is likely a conflict with the theme, or perhaps another installed plugin. I have that hunch because the staged example you sent me earlier seems to be working perfectly with a default WordPress theme:

    http://www.toddplex.com/cpc/events/

    Theme conflicts are especially tough for us to troubleshoot because the theme author would be much more familiar with the theme’s code than we are. That said, I would ask the theme author if it’s possible to inspect their Javascript to make sure there are no errors. The Month View tooltips on The Events Calendar are completely controlled by Javascript and any errors in the theme’s code that makes its way on that page can interfere with them.

    Sorry I don’t have a concrete answer here for you, but I do hope this at least helps pin down where the issue is coming from so that you’re closer to a resolution.

    Hi Jeremiah,

    Good question. You’re not using The Events Calendar to display events, are you? It doesn’t look like it in your system information, but thought I’d check anyway.

    The Events Calendar is our free calendar plugin and does allow you to display the calendar by specific category so that only events in a category display on the calendar.

    If you’re using another calendar plugin, then I’m afraid I will be a lot less familiar with it and may not have the direct answer for you. I do see a plugin installed on your site called “Events + Version” — is that what you’re using for the calendar?

    Thanks so much!

    Hey Leanne and welcome to the forums!

    I have a feeling that there may have been a miscommunication somewhere down the line. Events Calendar PRO actually does not provide a feature to allow event submissions — it offers a lot of other features, but I’m afraid a submission for is not one of them.

    That is, however, a feature of our Community Events add-on. That does exactly what you’re describing and includes the submission form shortcode to boot.

    Is that what you were looking for? If so, it does look like you are well within the 30-day window of our return policy. Let me know if you would like to return Events Calendar PRO in exchange for Community Events and I’d be happy to help make that happen.

    Thanks so much!

    Hey Monica and welcome to the forums!

    So sorry for the trouble here with Month View. I have seen this sort of thing pop up before and, in most cases, it’s a theme conflict.

    This article explains the issue in much more detail and provides a trick for resolving it.

    If that doesn’t work, then another idea is to head to Events > Settings > Display and switch the calendar’s template to Default Events Template. And, if that is already selected, try changing it to another one of your theme’s templates instead, save your settings and see if that changes anything.

    Do either of these help clean things up? Please let me know. 🙂

    Thanks!

    Hey Dylan and welcome to the forums!

    You’re absolutely correct that seating charts and assignments are not currently supported in Event Tickets Plus. It’s a feature request that has been trending up lately and something we’re certainly interested in, though it’s not on our roadmap yet.

    I think the simplest way to accomplish seating arrangements is to use Eventbrite.com and our Eventbrite Tickets add-on instead of Event Tickets Plus. Eventbrite has done a wonderful job integrating seating options into the ticket checkout process in a way that has not been done well in WordPress yet, so that might be your best bet for now.

    I see you are still well within our refund policy — if you are interested in returning Event Tickets Plus in exchange for Eventbrite Tickets, let me know and I’d be happy to help make that happen.

    Cheers,

    Hi Karen and thanks for getting in touch!

    Nice job finding that setting — that is definitely the one to go for.

    My guess is that the theme has a mechanism for only displaying posts that are identified as “news” whether that’s a specific post type, category, or some other classification that filters it from all posts.

    Another way to go about it would be to use the calendar’s included widget in Appearance > Widgets. That will provide a list of upcoming events and allow you to place it any where on your site.

    Does this help answer your question?

    Also, I do want to note that we use this forum to help answer questions about the features of our premium products. If you are looking for technical support for The Events Calendar, then please do hit us up in our support forum on WordPress.org and we’d be happy to help you there on our next pass. 🙂

    Hi Darryl and so sorry for the trouble with installation!

    It is possible that something has corrupted our plugin. To test this, could you try re-downloading fresh copies? This guide will walk you through re-downloading our plugins and provide a few different methods for installing them.

    If that does not help, will you please let me know and let me know what steps you are using to download and install the plugin?

    Thanks!

    That would be a great idea! However, I do want to note that Event Tickets does not support recurring events at the moment. That is something we are planning to release in an upcoming version but is still several months out — you can add your vote to the feature request here to get a notification when it’s complete.

    So, yeah, for now you would need to create tickets for each new event that you publish.

    Great question! Does this help answer it?

    No, I’m afraid that Day View is not available as a widget.
