Seat numbers

I’d like to be able to email tickets that have a specific seat number to people. I don’t think this is currently a feature but was hoping you could point me in the right direction on how to do this. i was thinking if I made rows available as different tickets then set the quantity to the number of seats in each row, Is there some way to auto generate a seat number based maybe on the quantity of tickets remaining for that row? Would love any suggestions on how i may be able to do this.

Hey Dylan and welcome to the forums!

You’re absolutely correct that seating charts and assignments are not currently supported in Event Tickets Plus. It’s a feature request that has been trending up lately and something we’re certainly interested in, though it’s not on our roadmap yet.

I think the simplest way to accomplish seating arrangements is to use Eventbrite.com and our Eventbrite Tickets add-on instead of Event Tickets Plus. Eventbrite has done a wonderful job integrating seating options into the ticket checkout process in a way that has not been done well in WordPress yet, so that might be your best bet for now.

I see you are still well within our refund policy — if you are interested in returning Event Tickets Plus in exchange for Eventbrite Tickets, let me know and I’d be happy to help make that happen.
