Hey Math– thanks for following up!

Ah gotcha, that first question is much clearer now.

Yes, you can absolutely sell tickets in much the same way. I know that Ticketmaster has features like the ability to select a ticket using a seat chart and that’s something that Event Tickets Plus is currently unable to do, but you can certainly sell tickets with it and keep the sales on your own site without having to link out to a third party.

You had mentioned purchasing quite a few plugins. I think you will save a few bucks if you purchase our Community Manager Bundle and then Events Calendar PRO separately. The bundle includes everything you mentioned earlier, except PRO, and will come out to roughly the same price if you purchased everything separately, but you’ll get a couple more plugins to go with it. Not a bad little bonus. 🙂

And, of course, support will continue to answer your questions here on this site in our premium forums once you have the product licenses–we’re here for you during the business week when you have any questions at all. 🙂

    Cheers!

Good news, folks! Avada 4.0.3 was recently released and, in testing it with The Events Calendar 4.2, it appears that the issues that were originally reported are now resolved.

Hats off to the Theme Fusion team, who were awesome and helpful in working with us to get this cleared up.

As always, please do let us know if you continue to see any issues and we’d be happy to check it out with you.

    Cheers!

There certainly is!  You can add CSS to your either your theme’s style.css file or by using the Simple Custom CSS plugin.

I added this on my test site and it did the trick of changing the color from blue to orange:

    .tribe-events-week-hourly-single {
    background-color: orange !important;
    }

Does it help for you as well? If so, we have a handy guide on how to customize the styles of the calendar using CSS that I’d suggest checking out for making additional design changes:

    Using Google Chrome Developer Tools

    Hey Luke,

    Great questions!

We do have some screenshots and a video tutorial available to give you an idea of what the plugin looks like when activated and how it works. You can find those right here on this page:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/product/facebook-events/

I’m afraid that Facebook Events will not apply a default category or tag to the events that are imported from Facebook. That is, however, a feature we are planning on building and I’d encourage you to add your vote to the feature request — that will notify you as we make progress on it and when it’s available.

Does this help answer your questions? Please let me know. 🙂

Hey there and thanks for getting in touch!

Yes, The Events Calendar does create its iCal feed and would be available following this URL format:

    [your-site]/events/ical

Is that what you were looking for? I’m sure it would be possible to create custom iCal feeds as well, though it would require a fair amount of custom development.

Also it only suggests that I can show current month only – can I customise the length of data/events I am passing to users (such as 3 or 6 months ahead)

Yes, though it depends on which calendar view you are referring to. For example, showing the next three months in Month View is not possible, but expanding the List View to show more events is certainly doable in Events > Settings > General with the “Number of events to show per page” setting (screenshot).

You’ve read our minds, Adam! Recurring license subscriptions is something we are definitely interested in doing and hope to accomplish, though there has been no set timeline for it quite yet.

I’m really stoked to hear you’ve been loving the plugins so far! That really does mean a lot and your feedback here is also greatly appreciated. I have flagged it to share with the rest of the team as well to add some momentum. 🙂

    Hi Preston,

Hey there and thanks for checking out iCal Importer!

I’m afraid we do not have a demo available. However, the plugin does come backed with a full refund within 30 days of purchase if you need to return it for any reason at all within that time. We find that demo sites, while great, are not nearly as good as testing the products on your own site, given all the possible differences from site-to-site in WordPress.

Does this help answer your question? If you have any other questions about the plugin and how it works, I’d be happy to help!

    Thanks,
    Geoff

    Hello Jean-Philippe,

Great question! Yes, that is definitely possible in Event Tickets Plus. Any one person can purchase as many tickets in a single purchase as they want and then will be promoted to provide the attendee details from there. In fact, one of the features we offer is the ability for you to create your own custom registration fields for tickets. Check out this article for a full rundown on how it works:

Thanks so much for the heads up, Industria!

There is a ticket in our system to address that very issue and it’s on our radar. While I don’t have a specific timeframe for when it will be patched up, I’ve made a note of this thread in the ticket and will be sure to follow up with you directly here when I know more.

Thanks for your patience while we work on this!

Hello Math, thanks for getting in touch! I’m stoked that you’re considering our plugins and I hope they’re a great fit for your project. 🙂

    1) will they be able to give me the same functionality though limited compared to the two examples?

Our plugins do not currently integrate directly with either Ticketfly or Ticketmaster. In other words, they would be unable to import the tickets that are set up on those services and make them available for purchase directly on your site.

However, it’s certainly possible to link to where visitors can purchase those tickets from the event itself. You wouldn’t need Event Tickets or Event Tickets Plus to do that — The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO will be more than enough to do that.

    2) How much traffic can they handle without crushing?

The plugins themselves are capable of handling high volume traffic. We have tested the plugins ourselves with thousands of events in the calendar and have optimized the performance of the plugins to work in those conditions.

I do want to note, however, that any site can “crush” under the weight of heavy traffic and that will mostly have to do with the hosting plan used for the site. If you are expecting a lot of traffic, then I would suggest looking into a dedicated server option from a host rather than shared hosting plan. That would open you up for handling all the traffic you need.

Does this help answer your questions? Please let me know.

    Cheers!

Hey Michael and welcome back to the forums–hope all is well. 🙂

I believe that the number of posts for the calendar RSS is controlled by the same setting as the default WordPress RSS. So, in other words, you should be able to show more than 10 items by heading to Settings > Reading from the WordPress dashboard.

Does that do the trick? Please let me know.

    Thanks!

Hey Greg, thanks for reaching out!

There might be a couple of ways to go about something like this.

One would be to use a plugin for redirecting URLs. I’ve used Redirection a number of times and it does a nice job of handling alternate URLs.

You can also use a template override to hide information on the calendar from non-logged in users. The process for overriding any of the calendar templates can be found in our Themer’s Guide. From there, I would suggest wrapping private elements with the is_user_logged_in() conditional offered in WordPress.

Do either of those methods sound like they’ll do the trick? Please let me know. 🙂

    Cheers,
    Geoff
