GuestHi
I’m planning to purchase The events calender Pro, Tickets Plus, Community events and Tickets. I want to sell event tickets for multiple events like Ticketfly, tickemaster e.t.c i know the plugins mentioned above wont have all the features but:
1) will they be able to give me the same functionality though limited compared to the two examples?
2) How much traffic can they handle without crushing? Thanks in advance

MemberHello Math, thanks for getting in touch! I’m stoked that you’re considering our plugins and I hope they’re a great fit for your project. 🙂
1) will they be able to give me the same functionality though limited compared to the two examples?
Our plugins do not currently integrate directly with either Ticketfly or Ticketmaster. In other words, they would be unable to import the tickets that are set up on those services and make them available for purchase directly on your site.
However, it’s certainly possible to link to where visitors can purchase those tickets from the event itself. You wouldn’t need Event Tickets or Event Tickets Plus to do that — The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO will be more than enough to do that.
2) How much traffic can they handle without crushing?
The plugins themselves are capable of handling high volume traffic. We have tested the plugins ourselves with thousands of events in the calendar and have optimized the performance of the plugins to work in those conditions.
I do want to note, however, that any site can “crush” under the weight of heavy traffic and that will mostly have to do with the hosting plan used for the site. If you are expecting a lot of traffic, then I would suggest looking into a dedicated server option from a host rather than shared hosting plan. That would open you up for handling all the traffic you need.
Does this help answer your questions? Please let me know.
Cheers!

GuestHi Geoff
Thanks for the response. I think my first question is not clear. I don’t want to integrate with Ticketfly or Ticketmaster, what i’m asking is can i sell tickets the same way with the plugins i want to purchase?
Question 2 was answered thank you.
I must say it gives great comfort that every query is attended to by support.

MemberHey Math– thanks for following up!
Ah gotcha, that first question is much clearer now.
Yes, you can absolutely sell tickets in much the same way. I know that Ticketmaster has features like the ability to select a ticket using a seat chart and that’s something that Event Tickets Plus is currently unable to do, but you can certainly sell tickets with it and keep the sales on your own site without having to link out to a third party.
You had mentioned purchasing quite a few plugins. I think you will save a few bucks if you purchase our Community Manager Bundle and then Events Calendar PRO separately. The bundle includes everything you mentioned earlier, except PRO, and will come out to roughly the same price if you purchased everything separately, but you’ll get a couple more plugins to go with it. Not a bad little bonus. 🙂
And, of course, support will continue to answer your questions here on this site in our premium forums once you have the product licenses–we’re here for you during the business week when you have any questions at all. 🙂
Cheers!
