    Hi André, glad that helped!

I think all of that is doable and possibly even by using the same sort of logic I shared with the template override. I’m afraid that we’re fairly limited in how much support we can provide for custom development questions like this, but using the same is_user_logged_in() condition in your template overrides will allow you to selectively show and display the content you want people to view, whether they are logged in or not.

    Cheers!

Hi Ali, I see my last reply was marked as the correct answer. I’ll go ahead and close this thread but please feel free to open a new one if any other questions pop up and we’d be more than happy to help. 🙂

    Hi Chris,

So sorry for the trouble here!

We have indeed seen this pop up every now and then and, in most cases, it was due to the way that the calendar importing the events reads .ics files. The .ics format is pretty limited in a lot of ways and different calendar applications choose to calculate times and locality in their own way.

Sounds like changing the timezone settings in WordPress did the trick. It’s still a little unnerving to not know why things stopped working. Have there been any changes to your site since the time things were working and then stopped? For example, were any plugin updates (including ours) installed or WordPress itself was updated? How about to the Outlook application itself? Has it updated in that timeframe?

Either way, I am happy to hear that things are working.

    Thanks,
    Geoff

    Hi Bruce,

Events Calendar PRO does include several widgets with shortcodes that can be used to embed them on any page or post. If your homepage includes a widget area, then you can head to Appearance > Widgets and place the mini calendar widget right there. Or, if you have the ability to edit the content on your homepage, then you can use the shortcode instead.

It sounds like we’re veering away from the original topic of this thread — do you have any other questions about the validation server error you were receiving when entering the license key, or has that been cleared up?

    Thanks so much!

Hi Patrick and thanks for following up!

Sounds like we’re looking at a possible conflict between the theme styles and the plugin styles. The reason I suspect this is because of how the default styling in your screenshot is green and the titles are not showing up in the green blocks. Everything else from the hover effect to the blocks appear to be working correctly–we’re just missing the titles in those green boxes.

It’s tough to pin down a solution without being able to replicate the issue myself or see a live example of it. For right now, let’s at least confirm that my hunch of a theme conflict is correct. Will you please follow the instructions outlined in this post? This will tell if the Week View is correctly working for you when a default WordPress theme is active and let us know for sure whether this is a conflict with the currently active theme.

Once we know one way or the other, that will tell us whether I need to do more testing on my end to locate a bug inside the plugin, or if there’s a styling issue with the theme that I can help provide resources for you to fix.

Let’s start here and see what we find.

    Thanks so much!

    Hey Richard,

Andras is out today, so I wanted to follow-up for him in the meantime. 🙂

Just to clarify one thing about the option to collect attendee information on a ticket:

    support-etp-request

The attendee name and contact info will be collected by default during the checkout process when the customer completes the purchase. This is different than if you create your own custom fields for Name and Contact Info, which the customer will be promoted to complete before adding the tickets to the cart.

Just to confirm: are you able to click on the “Attendees” link for your event and see the report? Is there any data in that report or is it completely empty? And, if it’s empty, have any tickets been sold for the event that you’re aware of?

You can access the Attendees report by heading to Events from the WordPress dashboard, then hovering over the event title. This will reveal the “Attendees” link (screenshot) which will take you to the report.

Let’s give that a shot and see what we find.

    Thanks so much!

Hi Patrick–welcome back to the forums and hope you’re doing well. 🙂

Good question. Week View should look like this right out of the box:

    support-weekview

Are the events that are scheduled in the week that are not displaying for you in Week View? If so, would you be able and willing to send me a link to the calendar and to an event that should be there but isn’t?

    Thanks so much!

Hey Jean-Louis and thanks for reaching out!

Filter Bar will allow you to filter events by Event Category, but I’m afraid that neither it (or events as a whole) make use of the general Post Category functionality in WordPress.

That said, you would be able to create a custom field with Events Calendar PRO and use that to create additional filters in Filter Bar, using the instructions outlined here to do it.

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂

    Cheers,
    Geoff

Hey Vivianne, thanks for following up!

Ah yes, I see you have Event Tickets Plus version 4.0.5 installed and the feature for Global Stock was released in 4.1. I’m afraid there is no snippet to simply enable the feature, but upgrading to the latest versions of Event Tickets Plus and Event Tickets will ensure that the feature is enabled.

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.

    Thanks,
    Geoff

    My pleasure, happy that helps!

A static .ics file will not update on a scheduled/recurring basis. However, if the Outlook calendar has a publicly .ics file that is hosted, then the URL for it can be used to create those scheduled imports, which will automatically check for new events on a frequency you get to decide. 🙂

    Cheers!

Hello Sapling and thanks for getting in touch!

It is definitely possible to upload an .ics file into The Events Calendar and use that import events from your other calendar.

Our iCal Importer add-on does exactly that. you can upload an .ics file to it, or enter in the URL of a valid and hosted .ics file and it can schedule events to import automatically.

Does that sound like what you’re looking for? Please let me know if you have any other questions and I’d be happy to help.

    Cheers!
