MemberHi Bryan,
The upper space will be removed once the gray box is gone and that should be taken care of with the first part of the snippet:
#tribe-bar-form { display: none !important; }Cheers,

MemberThanks for chiming in, Kieran! You’re totally welcome to follow along here.
Chris, here is a screenshot of the page you provided from an iPhone 6S running iOS 9. Are you seeing something different and, if so, will you please screenshot it for me and let me know which device it’s from?
Thanks so much!

MemberHey Dave,
Thanks for getting in touch and sorry for the delayed reply. This thread somehow fell off our radar and is definitely overdue for some love from us.
This is a great question. There are indeed a few extremely popular themes that have build custom integrations with The Events Calendar:
It’s worth noting that these themes have made specific customizations to the our plugins to integrate with their themes. As such, you may encounter an issue with our plugins that are unique specific to those themes and reaching out to those theme authors would be the best way to get a solution since they will be way more familiar with the code for those customizations than we are.
Choosing themes can be such a personal decision because you might have specific needs that only a handful of themes really handle. Hopefully the popular ones mentioned above will help get you started, but let me know if there’s anything else you might be looking for and I’d be happy to help as best I can.
Thanks!

MemberHi Florian, an thanks for reaching out!
We have this snippet to making the change:
https://gist.github.com/jesseeproductions/ec0756a728a65dec0266
Add that snippet in your theme’s functions.php to change the wording or blank it out to remove it altogether.
Will this work for you? Please let me know. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberHey Brent, thanks for reaching out! I’m also glad to see you were able to locate and reference the post we have on this topic.
Like you mentioned, this will have to come at the theme level. The theme is determining the width of the page container that the calendar sits in and, as such, the calendar is only able to respond to what it is being given.
That said, did you try the option in the post that allows you to change the pixel width for where the calendar’s responsive breakpoint is? That’s the best workaround for changing the behavior of the calendar without touching the theme’s code.
Cheers!

MemberHi Munira, welcome to the forums!
Great question. The calendar itself is actually an archive template, which is a fancy way of saying that it’s a page you won’t find in WordPress itself, much like a Category page for default WordPress posts.
Instead, customizing the layout means customizing the template itself and, for that, we have a very comprehensive article called the Themer’s Guide that provides the ins and outs for modifying any template in the plugin.
We understand that touching code is not everyone’s strong suit, so we’ve also put together a list of folks who have done great work with customizations to The Events Calendar with information on how to hire them for help, if needed.
If you’re looking to change colors, then it’s worth noting that the WordPress Customizer can be used for this and without the need to open up a file.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂
Cheers!

MemberHey Brandy and thanks for reaching out! So glad to hear you’re checking out the plugins. 🙂
Yes, the widgets included in Events Calendar PRO do indeed include a bunch of filter options. For example, the Advanced List Widget allows you to show upcoming events from the entire calendar, or limit the events to ones in specific categories or with specific organizers, venues, etc.
We have a great overview of all the widgets and how they can be used with shortcodes to filter the events to suit a number of different scenarios.
Does that sound like it will work for you? Please let me know.
Cheers!

MemberHey Kieran,
Yes, that is certainly possible:
.tribe-events-tickets tr .tickets_description { border:Â 1px solid; border-top: 1px solid #ccc; }If you’re looking for additional changes, I’m happy to point you in the right direction, if I can, but do want to note that we are fairly limited in how much we support customizations here in the forums. Hopefully, though, this is what you’re looking for and also serves as a good reference for other customizations as well.
Cheers!

MemberHi Craig and thanks for following up.
It sounds as though we are on the same wavelength for the most part and we are both game to try to move this forward in a positive direction. That’s awesome and much appreciated.
At the same time, I do want to address a couple of points you raised because I think they are important to help bridge an understanding of how we provide support and the reasons why we do.
As someone who runs a software development company I can understand the protocol of not providing support to free accounts, but I can’t believe the issue was ignored when I provided proof that the plugin was replicating events from 200 to 60,000 in a matter of a couple of days and was literally crashing a dedicated vps all by itself.
You can rest assured that the issue is not ignored. We are always sincerely interested in genuine bug reports and do note them in a centralized system that everyone here on our support, development and QA teams review, test, and prioritize according to what is currently being developed and how prevalent the reported is in the community. As such, your report was noted and is the first we have seen of this nature, so it’s being prioritized as it comes in.
The nature of supporting that issue, however, is another thing because it exists on a site that has not paid for direct support. In other words, your report is heard loud and clear but the expectation for directly supporting it with you has to be lowered for reasons we both agree on when it comes to free accounts. I realize that may not have come off clearly in the initial exchange with George, but I do hope this helps set the right level of expectation moving forward.
Once we got the plugins to update with the instructions George provided, a whole new set of issues arose as all the calendar events on the site started producing 404s because the permalinks got screwed up (it took George several days to address that).
The difficult thing here is George’s recommendation to upgrade is solid but also unveiled other conflicts that may not have existed before that were not directly related to the original topic. That creates a scenario where, as you saw, the conversation gets clouded up between what is on and off topic toward resolving the main topic of the thread. For that reason, we still recommend opening new threads for each issue since that will help bring other team members on board and keep the conversations neatly moving forward. Again, that may not have been clear in the initial exchanges, but I hope it does clarify the situation a bit.
…and also assure me that George is not the only one on the support team I will try to give this a clean slate going forward.
While I think it’s fairly obvious George is not the only person on this support team, I am happy to reassure you of that and you can refer to our team page for a full view of all the people it takes to keep The Events Calendar, Event Tickets and all our premium extensions developed, maintained, and supported.
So the only remaining problem is the rairc.com license pointing to rairc2.staging.yournewsites.com.
This gets us back to the topic at hand and should be the mark for which we base all our conversations moving forward. In fact, let’s go back to the original question:
Also a 2nd site is set up for rairc.yournewsites.com which was a staging URL which is no longer used as the site is now live and active at the domain rairc.com. Do I need to disconnect the prior url and then add the new one and if I do will the license number change or have to be re-added to that sites WordPress admin?
Yes, you would need to disconnect the license key from the staging URL and set it up on the new active URL. We have a step-by-step tutorial on how to do this, but here’s what it basically boils down to:
- Log into the WordPress admin for rairc.yournewsites.com
- Head to Events > Settings > Licenses
- Remove the License Key from the screen and save your settings
- Log into your site here on this site, theeventscalendar.com
- Head to My Account > Licenses
- Click the “Disconnect now” link next to the URL of the old staging domain (rairc.yournewsites.com)
- Log into the WordPress admin for rairc.com
- Head to Events > Settings > Licenses
- Enter the license key that was being used on rairc.yournewsites.com
In looking at your account, here are the currently registered sites I see to date:
- rairc2.staging.yournewsites.com
Following the above instructions should effectively replace rairc2.staging.yournewsites.com with rairc.com. Please let me know if that does the trick and we can continue from there.
Thanks again for following up!

MemberHeck yeah, that’s awesome to hear! So glad that the upgrade to Event Tickets Plus solved everything you were looking for. 🙂
Nothing has changed with the order needing to be completed before viewing new attendees. That is still indeed the case and is more of a limitation for how Event Tickets Plus can interact with WooCommerce than anything else. There may be a way to change that with custom development, but we’ve had to keep the order status at complete in order for the plugin to work for other situations as well.
I’ll go ahead and close this thread since it sounds like the original question was answered, but please do let us know if any others pop up in a new thread and we’d be more than happy to help. 🙂
Cheers and have a great day!

MemberHey Bryan,
So glad to hear that CSS did the trick!
Yeah, that might be something worth considering as a setting down the line — would you be willing to add that to our feature request forum? That will allow us to take votes from other folks as well and get a clearer idea of how that might look in the settings screen.
This CSS should clear up the rest:
#tribe-bar-form { display: none; } .fusion-events-before-title { margin-bottom: 20px !important; }I hope this helps! Did you have any other questions specifically about the date box that was removed? If you have other questions about styling, then it would be worth checking out this post, which offers a slew of information on how to locate and customize calendar styles.
Cheers!

MemberHey Michael,
Interesting that it would would for regular fields but not repeating ones. The repeating fields is a ACF premium feature, right? If so, do you have the latest version of it installed? I wonder if it works in past versions.
As a note, we aren’t always able to resolve conflicts with other plugins. If it turns out out to be that the two plugins are incompatible, then it would be worth adding this to our feature request forum and perhaps reaching out to the ACF team to let them know as well.
Thanks!

MemberHi Kieran,
You can change the 30px to something smaller, like 17px and that seems to help account for more screen sizes. If you are looking for something more specific, it might be worth reaching out to the theme author to clean up those styles.
The border around the boxes can be removed with this:
.tribe-events-tickets tr .tickets_description { border: none; }Do note that will remove the border from the other box as well.
Cheers!
