MemberHi Dave,
Thanks for getting in touch! I’d be happy to look into this with you.
Just to confirm, where are you looking for attendee information? Will you please send me a screenshot of where you’re looking so I can see what you’re seeing? That would help a lot.
I checked this on my test site and I was able to see the attendee information by doing the following:
- Heading to Events > Events from the WordPress dashboard
- Clicking the “Attendees” link for an event that has sold tickets (screenshot)
- Clicking the “View Dertails” link for a specific attendee (screenshot)
- This expands all of the details for a specific attendee (screenshot)
Are you following those same steps? If not, what steps are you following and I can try those as well.
Thanks!
GeoffThanks!

MemberHi Dave,
Thanks for getting in touch!
This looks like a duplicate of another thread you opened:
I’ll go ahead and close this thread and we’ll see you in the other one to look at this with you. 🙂
Thanks!

MemberHi Thomas,
Great question!
Changing the recurrence creation setting will only have an impact on events that have been created after the change in setting. In other words, the changed setting will have no impact on your existing recurring event. As such, I would not recommend deleting event instances from the series because they will not be recreated later.
Sorry, I know that’s not likely what you were hoping to hear, but I do think re-creating the event with the new settings in place is the way to go. You could use a post duplicator plugin (like this one) to at least quickly duplicate the post content for the series, though it will carry over the recurrence settings.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.
Thanks,
GeoffNovember 2, 2016 at 8:44 am in reply to: iCal Importer or Event Aggregator for Central Events Calendar on Multisite #1186357Geoff
MemberHello Mark,
Thanks so much for reaching out! I am really excited you and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee are not only already using The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO, but considering making the jump to an importing solution as well. That’s awesome!
These are great questions. I’ll start of by saying I would absolutely recommend Event Aggregator over iCal Importer. We are continuing to support iCal Importer with maintenance releases but are going to discontinue new feature development down the road with the expectation that Event Aggregator will fully replace it.
As far as your three other questions:
3. Is Event Aggregator a hosted service or a plugin that we would install on our WordPress multisite installation?
Event Aggregator is indeed a hosted service and is already installed on your site if you are running The Events Calendar 4.3+. the only requirement to get started is to purchase a license which, when entered, will unlock the service when you access the Events > Import screen in The Events Calendar.
4. Does iCal Importer or Event Aggregator support importing URLs of featured images, so that our Campus Events Calendar can display featured images for events?
Absolutely. Event Aggregator will import images along with the event data as long as an image is available to import.
5. Do the iCal Importer and Event Aggregator licenses include support for test and development environments, in addition to a production (live) environment?
An Event Aggregator license can be installed on up to 10 sites, so you should be well covered there. However, you can always deactivate the license on one site and move it to another temporarily, should you need another seat to test something out.
I will note that each configured import, whether it is on a staging or production site, does count toward the 100 import limit. And, by 100 imports, I mean 100 scheduled imports rather than 100 imported events. 🙂
Does this help answer your questions? Let me know if I can clarify anything here or if you have other questions and I’d be happy to help.
Cheers,
GeoffNovember 2, 2016 at 8:23 am in reply to: Can events aggregator automatically find and sync events based location? #1186348Geoff
MemberHi Luke,
Great question! Event Aggregator does allow you to import events based on a location radius. I do want to not, however, that the feature only applies to importing sources that allow Event Aggregator to determine the radius. That includes Google Calendar and iCalendar at the moment. Here’s a screenshot of what that looks like.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.
Thanks!

MemberHi Tracie and thanks for following up!
I appreciate you reaching out to the theme developer, though I am bummed to hear they will not help in this case.
While I cannot vouch for what sort of customizations were made to your template, I can tell you that this is what is in the default template:
<!-- Event meta --> <?php do_action( 'tribe_events_single_event_before_the_meta' ) ?> <?php tribe_get_template_part( 'modules/meta' ); ?> <?php do_action( 'tribe_events_single_event_after_the_meta' ) ?>That’s where I would start, personally. But, again, I want to make sure you’re aware that it’s tough for me to tell for sure and that the theme developer would still be the best person for guidance and support.
Sorry I don’t have a concrete answer for you here, but I do hope this at least helps get the ball rolling in the right direction. 🙂
Cheers!
GeoffNovember 2, 2016 at 7:48 am in reply to: Can Pro edition display a public/priv calendars/fully integrate all wordpress? #1186329Geoff
MemberHi Jon and thanks for following up! I’m so glad the answers have been helpful so far. 🙂
Yes, you understand correctly. The Events Calendar is a one-stop calendar for anyone visiting your website. And, yes, it does include the ability to creates Organizers for each event on the calendar.
You mentioned payment and bookings for events, so I do want to note that you will need our Event Tickets (free) and Event Tickets Plus plugins for creating and selling tickets for events.
Lastly, yes, you can upload high-res image or media files to advertise an event. In fact, events are published just like normal Posts in WordPress, and use the same uploader as well.
Here’s the combination of plugins I would recommend for you based on everything we’ve discussed so far:
- The Events Calendar (free) – This is the core calendar plugin that all our other plugins require.
- Events Calendar PRO – This adds the feature that creates pages for your event Organizers
- Filter Bar – This adds an extra layer of navigation to the calendar that allows visitors to change the calendar view on the fly and filter events by things like organizer, venue, category, time of day, cost, distance and custom fields as well
- Event Tickets (free) – This allows you to create free tickets for your events and is required for the next plugin…
- Event Tickets Plus – This connects Event Tickets to WooCommerce so that you can create paid tickets for events and sell them directly on your website.
Did you have any other questions? Please let me know and I’d be happy to help as best I can!

MemberHi Wim and thanks for following up!
Yes, that is indeed a known issue. The good news, however, is that we are already working on a fix and I see some progress has already been made on it.
I’ll mark this thread Pending Fix in the meantime. Whole I don’t have a specific date for when it will be released, I’ll be sure to follow up with you here when it’s ready.
Thanks!

MemberOh nice, and great question!
Yes, you can edit the file that came with the theme.
At the same time, you may want to reach out to the theme developer because they clearly have customized things already and would be more familiar with those customizations and be able to support them. I’d hate to tell you it’s ok to do something but then it conflicts with someone’s else’s custom development, so reaching out there might be the best way to go to get started.
Cheers!

MemberHi Stefano,
Good question!
I generally advise making code changes in the file itself using a text editor rather than using the WordPress code editor. That way, if something goes awry, you still have access to revert the code and access the WordPress dashboard.
That said, I do believe that is the correct place to add the snippet. To make sure I’m doing my job as best I can, here’s a WordPress Codex post on best practices for editing files in WordPress:
https://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_Files
If you do choose to edit the file directly in WordPress, then I would definitely take the advice in that post to make good backups just for good peace of mind so that you can easily revert in the event you need to.
I’ll also put out there that we have a list of recommended developers should you want some additional support for making custom changes.
Let me know if you have additional questions!

GeoffNovember 1, 2016 at 2:18 pm in reply to: Month view widget, with week selected or whole month #1186019Geoff
MemberHi Matt and thanks for following up!
what about the other alternative (to not select any day or week in the mini widget at all, and just display all events of the month beside the mini calendar) – would that work?
I’m sorry to say that this would not be possible right out of the box. It may very well be possible to make it happen with some custom development (and we have recommended developers who could help) but unfortunately not a feature that has been built by default.
Cheers,
GeoffGeoff
MemberAwesome, so glad to hear that snippet helped!
I honestly have not tried to modify bits of text in the other emails, but I know that WooCommerce offers a templating system that allows you to override any of their email templates with customized versions of you own:
https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/template-structure/
Also, not sure if you’d want me to open a new thread for this but the QR code is not showing in the tickets email. It only says QR code image, check in for this event and scan in this QR code at the vent to checkin.
Yes, it would be awesome if you could open a new thread for this question — not to push you out of this one, but because I think we’ll need some more information to troubleshoot it with you. For starts, please try testing for conflicts to confirm it’s not an issue with the theme or another installed plugin, then share that information in the new thread. A screenshot of the email would also be awesome and help get the conversation started.
To be honest, and this is suggestion only, it’d be nice to have an option in settings to select whether we want to use the QR code option of not.
Absolutely! We actually have a small extension you can download and install that will hide that for you. 🙂
Did you have anything else related to the snippet I provided for changing the text in the WooCommerce order confirmation email? Please let me know amd I’d be happy to help as best I can.
Cheers!
