October 5, 2016 at 2:46 pm in reply to: How to change the owner of Organizer so that they can edit in CE? #1172958
Cliff
MemberAmeet, I tried the same and didn’t get anywhere.
With User Role Editor, I gave Subscribers all 10 permissions available to the Events custom post type (I know you’re working with Organizers).
By default, Contributors (who are showing up in the Author drop-down) only have 2–https://cl.ly/3R3h3b162Q3F–and yet they do show up in the Author drop-down.
So either User Role Editor isn’t working (and coincidentally your method of assigning capabilities isn’t working), or something else is going on. I suspect the latter. Unfortunately, I cannot assist further in this customization. I’d suggest digging deeper though and letting me know if there’s anything else you discover.

MemberSorry, Ingo. I know this can be frustrating.
I saw another user’s thread that mentioned Jupiter Theme: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/ticket-fieldset-2/#post-1172209
I’d suggest checking out that thread. Please let me know if the fix that worked for them also works for you.

MemberThanks for the kind words.
For any advanced setup like that, I think it’s best to buy and try 🙂
Since you said you already purchased (or will soon), I’ll close this ticket and you can open a new thread in the paid forums if you come across anything you think we can/should help you with.

MemberThanks so much for sharing your workaround, Alan.
I have shared it with our team internally as well as being here on the forums for others to possibly find.

MemberExcellent. Sorry about that issue affecting your site.
I’m glad you’re up and running again!

MemberBenjamin, thanks for the link.
Ah ha!
In List View, if you search for something that matches an Upcoming Event, it will also let you navigate the matches in the Past.
However, if there are no matches for Upcoming Events, Past Event matches won’t be included either, which makes the result look like:
There were no results found for “YOUR SEARCH TERM”.
I believe this is what you’re experiencing on your site.
Please confirm this by creating a test event with “Health” in the title. Currently, http://safehealthcare.wpengine.com/events/list/?tribe_paged=1&tribe_event_display=list&tribe-bar-search=health returns no results even though there is a past event it should match.
Now does it match both the past and current “health” events?

MemberHi Megan.
Make sure you have The Events Calendar free/core plugin installed and activated.
Then make sure you have the Facebook Importer plugin installed and activated.
Then go to wp-admin > Events > Settings > Licenses tab and input your license key for Facebook Importer.
If there’s no where to input it, please send me a screenshot of what you see there.
Thanks.

MemberBenjamin, I did some testing, and our List View already includes past events if the “Date From” field is left blank.
So I tried with one of our developers to create a snippet to redirect all Tribe Bar searches to List View, but it didn’t come out cleanly.
Other ideas were to implement a custom search view or something like a custom page with a shortcode that handles it all. Or perhaps redirecting all Tribe Bar searches to the default WordPress search results page, like ?s=keyword&post_type=tribe_events
Unfortunately, none of these are quick and easy implementations. If you need some coding help, you may want to ask your developer or reference our documentation and list of known customizers.

MemberHi Subhan.
Thanks for your interest in our plugin suite.
Unfortunately, no. This is not possible, but you could request this as a new feature (or maybe search to see if the idea was already posted by someone else) at our plugins’ UserVoice page.
This allows others who are interested in that feature to easily voice their support. We frequently review suggestions there to find out which ones are popular, then we implement as many of them as we can.
If you post it / find it, feel free to link to it from here in case anyone comes across this forum thread in the future.

MemberHi, John. Sorry you’re experiencing this.
I see you have W3TC. I’d suggest deactivating that as several people reported the latest version not working and could definitely be causing 500 errors.
Besides that, I’d suggest following our recommended troubleshooting steps:
Could you please make sure all your Modern Tribe plugins (and WordPress core) are at their latest versions? (For example, I see you have PRO 4.2.2 but the latest version is 4.2.6.)
Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.
If it is, please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide (basically switch to TwentySixteen theme and deactivate all plugins and custom code other than Modern Tribe plugins) and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.
If it doesn’t, please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG and share any PHP errors you see while changing tickets quantity, navigating your site’s home page, events page, single-event pages, and any other of your site’s pages relevant to this ticket.
Then, please share your System Information (while in Testing for Conflicts mode).
You might also see if you can spot any console errors at your site. (If needed, you may reference our KB article Using Google Chrome Developer Tools.)
Let us know what you find out.
Thanks.

MemberHi Megan.
Facebook Importer does require the free/core The Events Calendar, but you can definitely use it without Events Calendar PRO. May I ask what gave you this impression?
Sorry for the confusion.
