MemberI believe Community Events already works as you’re wanting.
I’d suggest a plugin like User Switching (third-party, not guaranteed or supported by us) to test out the scenarios you’re concerned about.
For example, logged in as yourself (an Administrator, I assume), create an Organizer, then switch to an Author user (or whatever level user) and see if that Organizer is available in the drop-down (I believe it should be). Then create a new Organizer as Author X and then switch to another Author Y user and see if they can see the Organizer created by Author X (I believe the will not be able to)… etc…
Then let me know if something’s not working how you’d like it to.

MemberI’m sorry, Diego, but that’s not a specific-enough request for me to do a quick assist with.
Again I’ll suggest that, if you need some coding help, you may want to ask your developer or reference our documentation and list of known customizers.
Cliff
MemberThanks both of you for your feedback.
Randall, if something’s a bug, it means it’s supposed to work but doesn’t — so we wouldn’t know to remove the option and couldn’t do so without releasing a new version to everyone anyway — plus it’d cause confusion if we add, remove, re-add, remove, re-add an option (in the event something gets released as a new feature, doesn’t work, does work, doesn’t work, then works again).
Again, this ticket is in Pending Fix status, which means this thread should receive a reply once the applicable fix has been released. It looks like the fix will be part of version 4.3.5 — but I cannot guarantee when it will be fixed as it’s in the development team’s hands now.
I apologize for this issue and appreciate your understanding and patience.

MemberRelated events come from tribe_get_related_posts()
Looking at that function’s code, it should be pulling both Post Tags and Event Categories.
You could also leverage one of the filters to make Related Events work more to your liking. Here’s an example customization from someone else on the team:
https://gist.github.com/elimn/1e6797dd1a5d8ee666c5
However, we cannot provide such in-depth customization help, per our Scope of Support / Terms.
If there’s a code snippet you’d like me to put some eyes on or something else I can help you with, please update this ticket or create a new ticket if it’s a separate issue.
Thank you very much for your understanding.

MemberHi, Maxime.
Please reference our Themer’s Guide for how to do a template override.
If you’re trying to display the content of a single venue in a location other than the single venue’s page, that is likely possible via WordPress core’s functions but not part of our plugin.

You may be interested in this KB article: Embedding Calendar Views with the [tribe_events] Shortcode
You can see all our plugin’s widgets or shortcodes.
Last but not least, we have a pretty great Refund Policy so you can buy one or many of our add-ons and thoroughly test them.

MemberHi. Thanks for your interest in our plugin suite.
Event Tickets Plus (ET+) is our paid add-on plugin that upgrades the functionality of our free Event Tickets (ET) plugin.
Event Tickets Plus enables you to sell tickets via one of our supported eCommerce platforms. The free plugin only enables free RSVP-type tickets.
You can view our roundup/comparison of all the eCommerce plugins ET+ supports.
Our plugin uses your eCommerce plugin of choice, but your eCommerce plugin isn’t displayed for shopping pages. Please reference our Making Tickets KB article (screenshots are from an install using WooCommerce) for an idea how to create tickets for an event.
Site visitors would purchase tickets from each event’s single page/view (e.g. http://wpshindig.com/event/events-tickets-demo/) — if there is an RSVP to submit or ticket to purchase.
The order confirmation email will include a QR code that can be scanned to “check in” someone at the door at the time of the event. You can read more at Tickets: Managing your orders and attendees.
If your tickets will be free, you don’t need QR code check-in, and you don’t need to collect additional information other than name and email address, you likely could just use the free/core Event Tickets plugin.
To answer your specific questions:
- There is no single “user account” page for someone to have a view of all their tickets, but they can view their tickets per event page. For example: mysite/event/my-event -> mysite/event/my-event/tickets
- You could add your resources to the event detail page so everyone (with or without a ticket) could see them. If you want only ticket purchasers to have this information, that’s probably programmable but not part of our system at this time.
You could request this as a new feature (or maybe search to see if the idea was already posted by someone else) at our plugins’ UserVoice page.
This allows others who are interested in that feature to easily voice their support. We frequently review suggestions there to find out which ones are popular, then we implement as many of them as we can.
If you post it / find it, feel free to link to it from here in case anyone comes across this forum thread in the future.
Last but not least, we have a pretty great Refund Policy so you can buy one or many of our add-ons and thoroughly test them.
I hope this info helps. Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions.

MemberHi, Pauline.
We do not have any 2-way sync (like copying to your Google Calendar and then making edits there that sync back to your WP calendar), but if someone adds your calendar’s iCal URL to their Google Calendar (subscribes), it’s up to Google to keep it updated–but, yes, it should work the way it sounded like you’re expecting it to.
You can try it for yourself at our demo site. See the export button at the bottom of these and other pages (feel free to click around the site):
- Month View: http://wpshindig.com/events/
- List View: http://wpshindig.com/events/list/
- a single event view: http://wpshindig.com/event/womens-javascript-study-group/2016-12-28/
And yes, all these export buttons come with the free/core version of The Events Calendar.
Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions on this topic.

MemberThanks for your feedback, Stefan.
For your 2nd question, I believe you’re requesting the same thing as one of our existing feature requests: https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/10048827
Please do add your vote there.
This allows us to gauge interest in this particular feature request, which helps us prioritize our development efforts.
Thank you.

MemberPurchasing from us has always been for a 1 year time period.
If they purchased from us, they could login to https://theeventscalendar.com/license-keys/ and click the Renew button there if they want to keep the same account.
There are, unfortunately, websites out there that re-sell our plugins and are not authorized to do so by us. These are sometimes called discount clubs.
Anyway, that plugin (WooCommerce Tickets) was sunset over a year ago and replaced with Event Tickets Plus (ET+). We gave all of our WooTickets plugin customers a free upgrade to ET+.
If you bought WooTickets from somewhere besides our website, I’d suggest buying ET+ from us now and then you’ll have a year of support and updates.
Here’s information about the upgrade process from WooTickets to ET+: Moving to Event Tickets Plus.
Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions.
Thanks!

MemberSince you’re on v3 moving to v4, it is a significant update in terms of features and bug fixes and the way things operate. So, like always, we’d recommend taking a full backup (files and database).
However, it should be pretty seamless and everything should work just fine. 🙂
Please let me know how things go for you.

MemberHi, Joe.
This has been a known issue for a few weeks and I confirmed it’s still happening with our latest versions.
I’ll mark this ticket as Pending Fix, which means this thread should receive a reply once the applicable fix has been released. I cannot guarantee when it will be fixed as it’s in the development team’s hands, but I see it’s scheduled for release soon.
We’ve heard of other users trying https://woocommerce.com/products/woocommerce-order-status-control/ or https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-autocomplete-order/ but we haven’t verified if either works and both are from a third-party, not guaranteed or supported by us.
I apologize for this issue and appreciate your understanding and patience.

MemberHi, Robert.
Sorry you’re experiencing this.
Could you please provide some annotated screenshots or a screen capture video and/or instructions how I can reproduce this behavior? Then I’ll try to replicate on my local testing site. If I can, I’ll log it as a bug.
Thanks.

MemberHi, Huiwen.
Thanks for your detailed question.
I believe Community Events already works as you’re describing.
Please test these scenarios on your own site but I believe it works this way:
- If an Administrator adds an Organizer or Venue (O/V), everyone will be able to see and select it.
- If a non-Administrator adds an O/V, only they will be able to see it.
To test these, you could use a plugin like User Role Editor (we cannot guarantee its compatibility but it generally considered a reliable plugin) to switch between your site’s users to see what they see.
Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions on this topic.
