Participantwanganuiedc,
Thanks for reaching out. Are you referring to the Organizer and Venue dropdowns on the form? If so, then you can disable those by pasting the following code into your theme’s functions.php file: https://gist.github.com/ckpicker/9051733NOTE: If you disable these dropdowns, then new Venues and Organizers will be created each time an event is submitted, leading to potential duplicate Venues/Organizers. If you’re ok with that, then go ahead and proceed with adding the code above.
Just let me know if you have further questions. Thanks! 🙂

Participantleonardchamber,
Sorry to hear you’re having trouble hear, but hopefully I can help. There’s a conflict with some of the style that this plugin loads, so I’ve written a snippet that you can paste into your theme’s functions.php file to resolve this on the Community pages: https://gist.github.com/ckpicker/6830275Give that a shot and let me know if it does the trick. Thanks! 🙂

Participantirishrunner16,
Sorry to hear you’re having trouble hear, but hopefully I can help. I was able to view the Event Submission form in Chrome with no issues (screenshot). I did have to login a second time, so you might try disabling that login plugin as well to make sure that it’s not conflicting with the Community Add-on. You might also try viewing the site in a private browsing session to see if any of your Chrome extensions might be conflicting/blocking the form.Give those suggestions a try and let me know what you discover. Thanks! 🙂

Participantcactusthemes,
Sorry to hear you’re having trouble hear, but hopefully I can help. Can you reset the default view back to Month View so I can investigate further and see if any JS errors are being thrown? Thanks! 🙂-Casey-

Participante4healthwi,
Sorry to hear you’re having trouble hear, but hopefully I can help. This is a combination of a few factors:- The PHP memory limit on your hosting account being set too low.
- And a large number of events in your month view
You could try increasing the PHP limit yourself, by following these instructions, or you could reach out to your hosting provider to see if they can increase your PHP memory limit to at least 96 MB. Give that a try and let me know if you have further questions. Thanks! 🙂

Participantceramofiles,
Sorry to hear you’re having trouble hear, but hopefully I can help. Unfortunately, the ‘Roles to Block’ section of the Community Settings is referring to blocking access to the WordPress dashboard and not the ability to submit events. So, as long as they’re a registered user, they will be able to submit events. As a workaround, you could paste the following snippet into your theme’s functions.php to redirect unauthorized users to an error page that you’d create: https://gist.github.com/ckpicker/9008700NOTE: Keep in mind that you’ll need to change the wp_redirect URL, along with the ‘custom_role_name’ to match yours. Give that a shot and let me know if it does the trick. Thanks! 🙂

ParticipantCindy,
Can you try resetting your permalinks to see if that fixes the issue? Just go to ‘Settings->Permalinks’ and click ‘Save Changes’ to reset them. Give that a shot and let me know if it does the trick. Thanks! 🙂-Casey-

Participantppcog,
Are you able to receive other emails from WordPress to your @ppcog.com email? You can test this by creating a new user with a valid @ppcog.com email address, and checking the ‘Send Password’ box.The Community add-on uses the standard wp_mail method to send email notifications, so if that’s not working, then you also shouldn’t be receiving any other WordPress emails to your @ppcog.com email. Is that the case?
If so, I would reach out to your webhost, since there can sometimes be DNS issues related to sending emails to addresses on the hosted domain. Just let me know! Thanks! 🙂

ParticipantMike,
No worries! Glad to hear you’re digging in and figuring everything out. You’ll want to check out the Themer’s Guide that has all kinds of information about how to customize your calendar and perform template overrides. That should have all of the information you’re needing to add some text to your Calendar, but feel free to give me a shout if you still have further questions. Thanks for being a customer! 🙂

Participantppcog,
Are you using a public email address like Gmail? I was just able to verify in my environment that I’m successfully receiving email alerts to my @gmail.com address, so could you try using a different email address just to make sure your email provider isn’t marking it as spam, or filtering it out somehow?Try that and let me know the outcome. Thanks! 🙂
