I will disable all my plugins on the test site this weekend. I cannot, however, disable APC OPCODE caching as it is server side.

Ok, just report back here with your findings, and I’ll investigate further. Thanks! 🙂

    Rash,
If your issue is the same as the above please do feel free to monitor this thread, but if you need assistance for your own specific scenario it would be great if you could create a fresh thread of your own. Thanks!

    Karen,
    Any updates here?

    Martin,
Thanks for getting in touch! You should be able to install a role/capability management plugin (my personal favorite is this one). Once you’ve installed that, you’ll see capabilities that are specific to The Events Calendar that will allow you to customize permissions for specific user roles. You’ll notice in this screenshot, I’ve highlighted a few of the capabilities that are available for you to use.

I suggest you play around with some of those capability options and customize the permissions to suit your specific needs, and then let me know if you have further questions.

    Thanks! 🙂

    terrysteeley,
Thanks for reaching out! Yes! As of version 3.5, PRO is responsive out of the box (see this post for more information) without any modifications.

You can even customize the responsive breakpoints with some of our handy filters (outlined here).

Hopefully that helps to answer your questions, but let me know if we can help further. Thanks! 🙂

    kiralybalazs,
Thanks for getting in touch! This is definitely a known issue (see this thread), and one that we’re planning to fix in the next release of the plugin.

We’re sorry for the inconvenience on this one, but we’ll definitely keep you updated as we get closer to our next release. Thanks! 🙂

    Adam,
That’s strange. I was able to paste the code into my environment with no issues. Please make sure you’re pasting it within the opening and closing PHP tags. I made a slight modification to the snippet, since the message key has recently be changed to ‘update’ instead of ‘updated,’ so copy the latest from here and try it again: https://gist.github.com/ckpicker/8aa1390da48520f88149

If you’re still running into issues, just paste the entire contents of your functions.php file into a gist and I can take a closer look. Thanks! 🙂

    seattledog,
Since the ‘Default Events Template’ is working correctly, I would assume that this is something within your theme that’s causing a conflict, but can’t be 100% sure as I’m not familiar with this particular theme.

As a workaround, you could perform a template override (see our themer’s guide to learn more about overrides) of ‘the-events-calendar/views/default-template.php’ and then modify as needed to include your theme’s sidebar.

Alternatively, you could also reach out to the developer to see if they can provide any insight into why the Post Archive is displaying in this situation.

Give those suggestions a try and let me know if you have further questions. Thanks! 🙂

    Adam,
Thanks for getting in touch! Try pasting this code snippet into your theme’s functions.php file: https://gist.github.com/ckpicker/8aa1390da48520f88149

Give that a shot and let me know if it does the trick. Thanks! 🙂

    Karen,
Did you try disabling all other plugins? I’m noticing a lot of caching/minification plugins on your site, and wondering if a plugin conflict might be the culprit here. Have you tried cloning your existing site and creating a DEV environment where you can more easily test issues like this?

We ask our users to deactivate all other plugins in order to try to start with a baseline for testing, in order to rule out all other conflicts as part of our troubleshooting process. Please try deactivating all other plugins/caching and see if that has any effect.

    Thanks! 🙂

    Balazs,
One of our other support team members was able to replicate this issue, so we’re creating a ticket for one of our developers to investigate further. I’ll keep this thread open, so we can provide you updates as we have them. Thanks again for reporting this! 🙂

    Roger,
Thanks for getting in touch! Please try passing in the params as an array to see if that fixes the issue. tribe_get_events() expects the arguments to passed in as an array, so passing them as a string might be causing issues here.

Give that a shot and see if it does the trick. Thanks! 🙂

    Balazs,
Thanks for reaching out! I wasn’t able to recreate the issue that you’re describing here locally. I followed your exact steps (with a subscriber-level user), and never received the ‘redirect’ notice that you’re referring to (screenshot). I’ll have some other support team members review this also to see if they’re able to recreate.

    Please stand by. Thanks! 🙂
