ParticipantHi Leah,
within the form for submitting a new event there are some translations missing:
– Use Saved Veranstaltungsort:
– Use New Veranstaltungsort (in the pulldown menu)
– State or Province
– Leave blank to hide the field. Enter a 0 for events that are free. Here you can see the problem:
http://www.treffpunkt-jazz.de/events/community/add/The same problem occurs within the submission form in the WordPress backend, but only for these strings:
– Use Saved Veranstaltungsort:
– Use New Veranstaltungsort (in the pulldown menu)Best regards,

MemberHi Oliver,
You are so good at spotting translation problems, thank you! We’ve been doing our own translation testing every release, and we also caught these issues. Happily, they are fixed in the next upcoming release of the plugin. Thanks for your patience while we finish up and release 3.8! 🙂
Best,
Leah

ParticipantThanks for the nice feedback! 🙂
Can you give me a hint for a quick fix on this issue, so I can update my productive website?Best,
OliverSeptember 26, 2014 at 11:19 am #768832Leah
MemberHi Oliver,
Some of those are caused by incorrect text domains in the php files. The other ones (including the “Use New…”) will be fixed in the upcoming 3.8 release. Thanks for your patience 🙂

Leah

MemberHi Oliver,
Thanks for bringing these up.
I’m a little bit stumped about the ‘Use Saved Veranstaltungsort” string as I can’t find where it is in our files. It’s late now, but I’m going to check in with one of the developers tomorrow and see if she can help.
The second issue is a good catch, and something we have ticketed to be fixed. We’ll do our best to keep you posted as we work on it!
Best,
Leah

MemberHi Oliver,
It turns out that we have a variable being passed through a translation function, and that is what’s causing the ‘Use Saved’ to not translate. I’ve ticketed this to be fixed in an upcoming release. Thanks for catching it!
Best,
Leah

ParticipantHi Leah,
in V3.8.1. none of the translation issues have been fixed. Will they be fixed in 3.9?
Would be great as in a productive system the english expressions aren’t looking so good; my client is complaining about it :-/Best regards,

MemberHi Oliver,
My apologies- I should have been clearly in my earlier post. Dot releases like 3.8.1 are usually only to correct bugs that are effecting a wide number of customers. This issue should be fixed in our regular release cycle with 3.9. In the meantime, I’m hoping that you can use a workaround translation like a get_text snippet or the Say What? plugin. Thank you for your patience!
Best,
Leah

ParticipantHi Leah,
I created another translation for V3.8.1.
If I sent it to you, will it be part of V3.9?Regards,

MemberHi Oliver,
Yes, I can still get it into 3.9 🙂
Thanks!
