    Hello emrl,

    Thanks for contacting us.

Unfortunately we cannot offer support for 2.0 plugins 🙁

If you have questions regarding upgrading or your template overrides, I’ll be happy to help with those as much as I can.

    Hello drjchamberlain,

    Thanks for upgrading!

Overall this seems to be an issue with the WordPress implementation of ‘excerpts’ and is not a direct problem of our plugin.

Here is a post that is pretty old, but shares some more info

    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/6260928/how-to-include-html-tags-within-a-wordpress-excerpt

    http://codex.wordpress.org/Excerpt

I did some quick tests and was able to add newlines and some html to my Excerpt box just fine however.

Can you offer more specifics about your situation? Maybe it is a conflict with a plugin or theme?

    Cheers!

    Hello fotoii,

    Thanks for contacting us!

I’m afraid I don’t fully understand your request, maybe something lost in translation?

How I can list the events so that the first event will be listed which had the Enddate promptly to the today’s date.

The events are listed in ascending chronological order according to the start date. I believe you want to do the same but according to the end date? That is, display the events first that are ending soonest?

Unfortunately that level of customization goes beyond the scope of the forums. If you check out our Themer’s Guide, you could probably make a template override to display what you want.

Using the tribe_events_query_posts_orderby filter, you may be able to filter by end date instead.

If you have a moment, we’d love for you to submit your idea to our UserVoice forum. We take user ideas and contributions very seriously, and many times their ideas end up in our future releases.

Does this make sense? Let me know if I can explain anything else!

    Cheers!

    Hello aberdeb,

I believe the Facebook Plugin is a one way import from Facebook.

Could you try deactivating and reactivating the plugin? I’m not sure why it would lock down like that.

We’d love it if you would leave us a review and let people know how much you like the plugin! http://m.tri.be/jt

    Hello bringbackourgirls,

I unfortunately can’t give you a specific time for troubleshooting, but we do a full pass of the forums every 24 hours.

The page seems live already, just empty. Is the plugin currently activated?

    Hello 1968rouleur,

I think the css selector changed in the upgrade and you now want this

    .tribe-events-list-widget-events .entry-title

I use Chrome, but other browsers have similar ‘inspectors’. If you inspect the element you can look up the classes to target.

Sorry, this may seem tedious, but it is the best way to know where the conflict exists.

in reply to: Internal Server Error when trying to update to 3.5.2 #163438

    Hello jeataylor,

Here is the scenario as I understand it.

Many people had difficulties upgrading to Pro 3.5 because of a mysql conversion script in the upgrade process. The script timed out on smaller machines, creating duplicates. I believe this is why you could upgrade just fine on your localhost, as it is presumably more powerful than you server (dedicated machine vs virtual shared instance). This is just a hunch though.

Could you expand on this a bit more?

I’ve tried upgrading to 3.5.2. I’m using a multisite setup and when I go to “network activate” the plugin, I get the Internal Server Error which locks up the admin area. The only way I can unlock is to go back to 3.4.1.

In what way does it lock up? Is the whole admin system blank?

Ideally in this situation, you would first deactivate both plugins before updating them at the same time, possibly upgrading to 3.5 first.

Does this make sense? Let me know if this doesn’t work for you.

    Cheers!

    Hello unpublishedauthor,

I can confirm the start dates/times are missing, but are you sure they are input correctly?

    2014-05-16 at 9.27 AM

On this event for example there is no start time information.

As per the second question, there actually is a premium plugin for that! The Community Events plugin allows users to upload and submit their own events.

Does this make sense? Let me know if I can explain anything else!

    Cheers!

    Hello wderday,

    Thanks for contacting us!

Is this the place you would like to change it?

    2014-05-15 at 8.07 PM

I believe this code in your functions.php will do what you like http://pastebin.com/Ha4dy2Mr

    But instead of $format['show_end_time'] = false; it would be $format['datetime_separator'] = 'Time';

We are releasing version 3.6 soon, and this may break when you upgrade. Check back at that time if it does, because it should be easy to fix.

Does this make sense? Let me know if this doesn’t work for you.

    Cheers!

    Hello mudstacle,

    Thanks for contacting us!

I can confirm that the event has a map, but it isn’t showing on the map view.

This issue occurs because the two maps are different. The single event map is based on the address entered, but the ‘Map View’ map is based on geolocation data (lat/lon), generated after saving the event. Typically, when the ‘Map View’ fails in this case, the lat/lon geolocation data hasn’t been generated for some reason.

This can possibly be solved by simply resaving the event. That may trigger the lat/lon data generator. If that doesn’t work, changing the address slightly and saving the event may also trigger it. As a last resort, there is an experimental add on plugin called Event Rocket, where you can set the lat/lon explicitly.

However, there may be a plugin conflict. Can you please deactivate your plugins and theme, to confirm the problem goes away? Please reactivate each piece, until the problem comes back. Please let us know which plugin causes the problem.

Does this make sense? Let me know if this doesn’t work for you.

    Cheers!

    Hello Mike,

    Thanks for contacting us!

Unfortunately I can’t give you a solid answer one way or another. The official Modern Tribe answer is we don’t support 3rd party plugins, unless previously tested. This plugin unfortunately hasn’t been test before.

Personally, I don’t see why it wouldn’t work, for the reason you say. But in no way can Tribe be held accountable for my personal gut feelings. 🙁

If you would like to see this tested, we’d love for you to submit this to our UserVoice forum. We take user ideas and contributions very seriously, and many times their ideas end up in our future releases.

Sorry for the opaque answer and good luck!

    Cheers!
