ParticipantHi there, I run Event Calendar pro on 2 sites. One of them was completely fine with the most recent upgrade, however the other one now has a strange problem with recurring events. Recurring events work fine on the back end, but as soon as you click in to go the specified page it throws up this error: “Not Found – The requested URL /2014-06-09 was not found on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.” Interestingly the URL is always the same and before this I had the duplicates problem as well (deleted all the events out in the end and reinstalled the plugins).
Also, in the monthly calendar view, only end times of an event are shown on hover of that event.

MemberHello unpublishedauthor,
Thanks for contacting us. I think if you change your permalinks to ‘postname’ the problem will be fixed.
Does this make sense? Let me know if this doesn’t work for you.
Cheers!

ParticipantThanks Casey,
Changing permalinks instantly fixed the recurrence issue!
The only other issue now is that start dates don’t show on hover in the main calendar view. This is pretty minor, but is there a fix?
Also, on a different tangent (for a future website), does Event Calendar Pro have any capacity for front end users to create events? Specifically if a venue was a singular user (looking to create a local gig guide where users can upload their events directly into the calendar).May 16, 2014 at 6:31 am #163429Casey D
MemberHello unpublishedauthor,
I can confirm the start dates/times are missing, but are you sure they are input correctly?
On this event for example there is no start time information.
As per the second question, there actually is a premium plugin for that! The Community Events plugin allows users to upload and submit their own events.
Does this make sense? Let me know if I can explain anything else!
Cheers!

ParticipantHi Casey, thanks for the response. I double checked and the start and end dates are definitely in there. Interestingly when you click into an event the “date” is also missing (further issue with recurrence maybe?)
Thanks for the link to The Community Events plugin, that looks like exactly what I’m after!
Cheers!

MemberHello unpublishedauthor,
Are you using a theme or template override at all? There is even less data in the tooltip now.
In the single event view, the date is still missing but the start time is there now
I wonder if this is a problem left over from the reoccurring events issue. Maybe somehow the data got damaged? I’ll check with a dev on that.
Could you could check for a ‘tribe-events’ folder in your active theme’s directory? That is located in your wp-content/themes/[theme] folder. This is a template override that might be cause problems with the tooltip.
Also, could try temporarily activating a normal theme like Twenty Twelve or Twenty Thirteen and see if the problem persists?
