    Hello jpmorales!

Thanks for reaching out. Sorry you are experiencing this!

Just to confirm, did you go to https://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/license-keys/ to update your key? If you disconnect the old site, and then enter the license in the new site’s settings, it should work just fine. (if the license is still active of course)

If you did this and are still having difficulties let me know! You may be experiencing a bug, but I think if you disconnect your old site you should be fine.

Does this make sense? Let me know if this doesn’t work for you!

    Cheers!

    Hello mad1,

Nice site! Thanks for reaching out. Sorry you are experiencing this!

When I go to an event page and open the js console, I see this error:

Warning: you have included the Google Maps API multiple times on this page. This may cause unexpected errors.

It sounds like it might be a theme or plugin conflict. Is there a map on every page? Can I get you to give me two things:

    • What is the theme you are using?
    • Can I get a list of plugins you are using?

These things will help narrow the problem.

With that in mind the next step is to figure out what is conflicting. Can you try deactivating all other plugins and switching to a default unmodified theme like Twenty Twelve? At that point, confirm this is no longer a problem then begin reactivating everything. Test at each stage to see if you can determine where the conflict lies.

    Cheers!

    Hi holmfirthevents,

I’ve checked into your other threads and I completely empathize with your frustration. As a professional developer and webmaster I’ve personally felt that terrible pressure of a broken product and looming deadlines on multiple occasions. Especially on holiday weekends, the silence can be deafening. During those difficult times it’s nice to get the help of a level headed outsider.

At Modern Tribe, we have the combined experience of dozens of professionals with thousands of happy customers. We have seen many terrible scenarios and through our experience have built a protocol system that is very effective at fixing these types of problems.

At the heart of this troubleshooting protocol is the ability to reproduce the problem. If we cannot reproduce the problem we cannot identify the problem. Identifying the exact and specific nature of the problem is the first step into finding an effective solution.

Typically in WordPress stacks, conflicts arise between themes and plugins. It is the nature of a popular open source system and can be a mess at times. By deactivating and carefully reactivating items in order, we can trace the situation and quickly isolate the issue.

It is also important to note that redundancy systems are critical in mission critical systems. SQL dumps and wp-content archives, hopefully one per day (especially before major releases and updates), are a critical component to creating redundant systems. Effective use of these systems means you can be back on your feet quickly in the event of disasters. Additionally, you may find it helpful to have a development or staging instance of your site, perhaps even locally, so you can test major updates external of a production environment.

I apologize, because it seems we failed to adequately set your expectations for these troubleshooting techniques.

Thanks for reaching out to us. I’m going to close this thread and direct you to continue to work with Barry. Barry is a developer and one of our top support agents, he is very capable and will be happy to help you figure this out. If you center all your communication on that thread, it will limit the confusion on our end.

    https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/page-not-found-404-error/

I sincerely apologize for the pain and frustration you have experienced, and I encourage you to work with Barry so we can get you back on your feet.

    Hello fabmedia!

Thanks for upgrading! Sorry you are experiencing frustrations right from the start! :/

Aphidesign is probably correct. Like other plugins and themes that manipulate the permalinks, you will probably have to do a “Manual Permalink Flush” by resaving your permalink settings. In fact I just found out about this myself last week!

Also, you might be happy to learn that you can have a sidebar! In the Event Settings page, under the Display tab, you will find a “Events Template” setting. If you switch the template from “Default Events Template” to “Default Page Template”, it will use the theme’s page template instead of the included Events template.

    /wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=tribe_events&page=tribe-events-calendar&tab=display

For me, using a vanilla install with TEC and TEC Pro with the Twenty Twelve theme, I was able to get a side bar to appear right away. Results may differ depending on your theme, I believe, but you should be able to get a sidebar to appear.

Does this make sense? Let me know if you have more questions or this doesn’t work for you!

    Thanks again for upgrading!

    Cheers!

    Hello gian!

Thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately the Feature Bar plugin does not yet work with a single event page view. :/

We take our user feedback very seriously though! We’d love it if you took a moment to vote for this feature at our User Voice page.

Our plugins are under constant development, and many of our ideas come for user requests. If you’d like to see this feature in a future release feel free to add in your idea!

    Does this make sense? Cheers!

Thanks for the update, Sean. Happy it worked out.

We’ll warily file this in the back of our brains as a weird 3.5 upgrade bug, especially since we can’t reproduce it and we haven’t heard about it from anyone else yet.

But absolutely let us know right away if anything like this happens again!

Can I mark this as closed for now until it [hopefully never] crops up again?

    Cheers!

    Thanks for the more info!

I wasn’t able to reproduce this error, but I believe if you update all plugins to their latest version, including WooCommerce to 2.1.7, everything should work just fine. WooCommerce Tickets should be updated to 3.5 again as well.

    WooCommerce

Let me know if that doesn’t work for you!

    Hi Sean,

Sorry you’re having this difficulty! I took some time to try and reproduce the issue, and I was not able to.

I created a recurring event in version 3.4 and gave it an event website. I then updated both The Events Calendar and The Events Calendar Pro to version 3.5

I found no duplicates in the wp_postmeta table, only one _EventURL per post_id as expected.

I also talked to the support team and they haven’t seen this before.

    2014-04-18 at 12.44 PM

We had a few other bugs regarding recursive events and upgrading from 3.4 to 3.5. These bugs were mostly caused from MySQL queries timing out, leaving users with odd bugs, including some duplication. We haven’t seen this before though.

I have no good reason to think this will work, but if you have a 3.4 backup, reinstalling that and updating directly to 3.5.1 *might* fix the problem you are having, because of the fixes supplied in 3.5.1. But that is just a gut instinct.

Otherwise, I’d like to be able to reproduce what you are seeing. Could I get more information on your system? The theme you are using and plugins especially.

Does this make sense? Let me know how I can help.

    Thanks for your patience!

    Hi Kurt!

Thanks for reaching out to us. Your link redirects me to wp-login.

The core Events Calendar plugin only has one widget, an “Events List” view. The “Calendar” widget you are referring to may be the stock WordPress widget for published posts, not events.

The Pro version offers more widgets, including a monthly “Calendar” style widget. You can see the difference of both widgets on our demo site.

Furthermore, the Events Calendar Pro even more calendar page views for your visitors, including week, map, photo and single event views.

Does this make sense? I’d be happy to answer any other concerns and a lot of information can be found on our FAQs! 🙂

    Hi callanwolde!

Thanks for reaching out. I was able to do this on my system, in WooCommerce.

    • In the “Orders” page of WooCommerce (/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=shop_order)
    • Click on the order number to get to the “Edit Order” page
    • In the upper right, you should see an “Order Actions” meta box
      2014-04-18 at 10.54 AM
    • If the order has already been completed, you should see a “Resend order emails > Tickets” option in the drop down
      2014-04-18 at 10.57 AM
    • Select “Tickets” and click the small refresh icon next to the icon
      2014-04-18 at 10.54 AM (1)

This will send out another ticket email to the customer. From what I can tell however, you won’t be able to do this in bulk, only on individual orders.

Does this make sense? Let me know if this doesn’t work for you!

    Hello christineward321gmailcom,

Welcome and thanks for upgrading to Pro! Sorry you ran into this issue, we’ll get you up and running quickly.

It seems this issue is typically a problem with the host, probably a file permissions problem. It seems possible your server can’t properly unzip the plugin.

Could you reply back with your host’s information? I don’t need private information, not yet at least. Just simple information like:

    • Who is your host?
    • How do you access your site? (FTP, CPanel, SSH, etc)
    • Are you able to use other plugins?

If you give me an idea of your workflow I can narrow the issue.

You might have better luck if you install the core plugin from the WP-Admin > Plugins > Add New page. Also, you can try just uploading the folder, instead of the zip file.

Does this make sense? If you reply back with this info we can move ahead.

    Cheers!
