MemberHello crystalbridges,
Was there a time when you were able to pull all of the updates? I’m investigating this further to find more info.

MemberHello patrailsofhistory,
Could I get a public link of what you have so far?
Typically, that level of customization goes beyond the scope of the forums. However, depending on the scope of the request I may be able to help you out.
If you check out our Themer’s Guide, you could probably make a template override to display what you want. Have you taken a look at that already?
You want to override the wp-content/plugins/events-calendar-pro/views/pro/widgets/mini-calendar and create/move it to your [theme]/tribe-events/pro/widgets/mini-calendar folder. Edit the appropriate files inside and you can add venue conditionals and more.
Does this make sense? Let me know if this doesn’t work for you.
Cheers!

MemberHello jjeanx,
Thanks for contacting us! I’m not sure there is an easy way to ‘disable tags’, but there may be a way to fix your conflict.
Can you give me more information about your CSS conflict?
Cheers!

MemberHello gregoiregarneau,
If I understand correctly, I believe the best way to implement this is with the html character codes.
http://symbolcodes.tlt.psu.edu/bylanguage/french.html#htmlcodes
It’s not perfect, but it should work in all conditions. Here are a few chars to test
é -> é
è -> èDoes this help? Let me know if this doesn’t work for you.

MemberHello vinejuice,
Currently that feature isn’t offered in our plugin, but I believe this WooCommerce addon will do the trick. http://www.woothemes.com/products/name-your-price/
While I can’t say with certainty that this plugin will absolutely work, I can’t see why it wouldn’t.

MemberHello sandras,
Thanks for upgrading!
From what I can tell, your months are translating, but I could be wrong. Can you give me a specific example of where they are still English?
Also, can you show me the forum that advised to change the “the-events-calendar.class.php” file? Typically it is a bad idea to edit core files.
Cheers!

MemberHello christi78,
Thanks for contacting us!
So the first issue I have found is that there is nothing set to not allow the end date to be blank. If this is left blank it creates an infinite amount of event.
Is this question regarding single events or recurring?
The other issue is that no matter what I set my.conf or max allowed connections when adding re-occurring events it causes my I/O wait time to shoot to 20-40% until it has completed. In correcting the I/O issue somewhat to only hit the disk when writing and preform everything else in RAM and the processor it now states “Connection lost. Saving has been disabled until you’re reconnected.” but then finally completes. Still causes high load times for 3-8 mins while it completes.
Depending on the size of the recurring event, it can generate many posts. Unfortunately, server configuration is not something covered in our forum support. Generally though, you will want more throughput for bigger input queries)

MemberHello herkey43,
This bizarre, thanks for contacting us!
Is there are a pattern that you have noticed? It seems inconsistent to say the least. Is it only happening to new events since 3.6 and only some of them?
It looks like you are using a 2011 child theme, possibly with template overrides. Can you switch to the stock 2011 theme (or another like Twentytwelve) and see if the problem persists?
Does this make sense? Let me know if this doesn’t work for you.

MemberThis is bizarre. Almost any host should be able to handle 25 events very easily.
Sorry for the jargon! ‘Stronger Instance’ just means a larger server share (‘instance’ is just jargon for ‘new server set up’). You have the 1GB version, I was thinking an upgrade would help. But probably not in this case as your server is so small.
There is clearly something preventing the query from executing the query at normal speed.
Can you please confirm that after executing these combined steps in order, the problem still exists?
- Deactivate ALL plugins
- Change theme to Twentytwelve, Twentythirteen or Twentyfourteen
- Activate The Events Calendar and The Events Calendar Pro
(Ideally this would happen on a development or staging server instance)
If the query still takes a long time with this set up, we will escalate the issue and see if a dev can help us get to the bottom of this. It may be helpful to contact your host at the same time, to see if they can shed any light on this issue.
Does this make sense? Let me know if this doesn’t work for you.

MemberHello literarychicago,
Thanks for the update. It looks like your theme or override is causing most of the styling, including the colors and alignment.
Unfortunately that level of customization typically goes beyond the scope of the forums. It seems small enough that I can help change it this once.
Here is some code that should make your tooltips left aligned.
.tribe-events-tooltip p.entry-summary.description { text-align: left;}
A plugin like http://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-custom-css/ will help you add css to your site.
Does this make sense? Let me know if this doesn’t work for you.

MemberHello engineit,
If you ask on the WordPress.org forums you may get the help of a wanderer. There are quite a few in the community that like helping with quick small changes like this, as it is relatively low hanging fruit.
If you’d like a list of freelancers we work with, you can email us at [email protected].

MemberHello mhsieh,
Thanks for your cooperation and sorry for our technical difficulties! I haven’t heard other complaints of private replies not working, but it our site has been noticeably slow. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
If you renamed the template override folder, and the problem is persisting, I think we can rule that out as an issue.
Could you try deactivating the widgets temporarily to see if that fixes it? I notice the List widget suffers from the same problem. I wonder if that is messing with the query somehow. I highly doubt it but it is worth a shot.
Is this on a multisite? I’m not sure if that would matter, but it might make a difference.
Is the http://d7stage.ddn.com/events/ the staging site for the http://www.ddn.com/events/ production site? Is it otherwise identical (expecting the domain)?
In an email to [email protected], can you please send us two things. (With this thread url as the subject)
- In the WP-Admin, at the bottom of the Events > Settings > Help tab, there will be a ‘systems settings’ box.
- It would be also helpful to see your overrides, can you zip them up and attach them.
Does this make sense? Let me know if this doesn’t work for you.
Cheers!
