ParticipantMy event page has started randomly replacing my standard header with a large portion of the Featured Image. This happened in 2 of the last 5 events I have entered over 3 days. I have made no updates to plug-ins or themes recently. You can check it out at http://oregoncoasthotrods.com/event/5th-annual-wings-wheels/ Thanx for any advice…

MemberHello herkey43,
This bizarre, thanks for contacting us!
Is there are a pattern that you have noticed? It seems inconsistent to say the least. Is it only happening to new events since 3.6 and only some of them?
It looks like you are using a 2011 child theme, possibly with template overrides. Can you switch to the stock 2011 theme (or another like Twentytwelve) and see if the problem persists?
Does this make sense? Let me know if this doesn’t work for you.
Cheers!

ParticipantYes, very Bizarre. Upon further checking I verified that in recent event postings, there are 3 with header issue, and 6 that are OK. Some are on the same day, before and after good ones. I turned off all plugins except events, and no events show up, only Calendar Page. Events are listed on dashboard, but “view event” embarrasses WP and event not found. Turned plugins back on and still no events are shown. My Child template has only “search” removed from header. No Event template changes. When I switched theme, no change, but that tells me nothing because events were not showing. This is strange. Thank you for the help!

ParticipantI can see you guys are really working. So I decided that this was stupid, and I could fix it. I don’t believe in random. Take a deep breath and read Rob’s: important note on plugin/theme deactivation. Carefully follow the instructions. TEC Pro running flawlessly. I have a plugin conflict, don’t know which but I will. Thank you for your attention.

MemberHa! Thanks for your comment our team loved it.
Your not alone in this I’m sure I can help some way. When you turn plugins on and off, you may have to “flush permalinks,” by resaving your permalinks in the Settings > Permalinks admin page.
Does this make sense? Let me know if this doesn’t work for you.
Cheers!
