ParticipantSo the first issue I have found is that there is nothing set to not allow the end date to be blank. If this is left blank it creates an infinite amount of event.
The other issue is that no matter what I set my.conf or max allowed connections when adding re-occurring events it causes my I/O wait time to shoot to 20-40% until it has completed. In correcting the I/O issue somewhat to only hit the disk when writing and preform everything else in RAM and the processor it now states “Connection lost. Saving has been disabled until you’re reconnected.” but then finally completes. Still causes high load times for 3-8 mins while it completes.

MemberHello christi78,
Thanks for contacting us!

Is this question regarding single events or recurring?

Depending on the size of the recurring event, it can generate many posts. Unfortunately, server configuration is not something covered in our forum support. Generally though, you will want more throughput for bigger input queries)

Thanks for the reply. The first issue is when setting a re-occurring event. If the end date is not selected and you press save event the server then continues to post indefinitely or at least the process cycle continued for over 2 hours.
IF this filed is left blank it should really have a message generated that would state an end date needs selected. This would prevent issues with the plugin at least not continuing to processing adding an event forever.

MemberHello christi78,
I’d like more information if you’d be able. There may be some sort of bug or a usability flaw we haven’t considered yet.
From what I can tell, the javascript validation works well, even if I remove the ‘End Date & Time’. There is this red text and a javascript alert instructing the user to set an end date.
Does this make sense? Let me know if I can explain anything else!
Cheers!
