Thanks for emailing support. In order to sell tickets you need to either activate Tribecommerce (Events > Settings > Tickets) or install a ecommmerce plugin. We support Woocommerce and Easy Digital Downloads.

You can use this with buddypress. In regards from pulling in from users, you can use the shortcode with tags or categories, so you could associate a unique tag with your users.
