Can the main events page be edited??

I need to turn off the site title and description, and disable the page’s widget sidebar. I can do this with any page or post I create … but there doesn’t seem to be a way to access that anywhere that I can find. (I can do it with any individual event … it’s the main events page that I don’t understand how to get to, and there’s no way to access it in settings that I can find.
