ParticipantHi, Dorian. I’ve been checking out your site, and it looks like there are some other issues at work here. Would you mind starting a new thread so that we can work through them together without taking over dlishdesign’s?
Also, when posting, please include the place where I can see the TEC sidebar widget calendar. So far, I could only find the WP calendar widget.
Thanks!

ParticipantHi, Abbey. Sorry to hear you’re having issues with the install.
From the sounds of it, I think your Mac may be unzipping the file on the fly in order to help you out. 🙂 If you zip it back up and then upload it to your site, that should work just fine.
Please give it a shot and let me know how it goes! 🙂

ParticipantHi, Jonathan. Thanks for asking about the Eventbrite Import feature. I also appreciate you giving me the examples of the event pages on your site and Eventbrite. That’s super helpful. 🙂
I took a look at the HTML for both the Eventbrite and TEC description. It sure looks to me like the code is identical. I’m guessing what you’re seeing is that WordPress is displaying it differently because of the width available. We’ve got a bunch of changes in the works to play better with the recently updated Eventbrite API. I would encourage you to wait for the next maintenance release and see if that resolves your issue before troubleshooting too much more in depth.
As far as the date goes, that is an odd one. Is there a pattern to what date is used?
With Google Maps, sometimes, we’ve found there’s an issue where the Eventbrite API doesn’t pass the address correctly. Could that be part of it? Is there a page I could view the incorrect map?
Regarding the Filters Bar, it is definitely in the works and we’re getting close. I’m sorry, but I can’t give you anything more specific than that. It should be soon, though! 🙂

ParticipantHi, thedesigngym. Thanks for asking about this customization. You’ll need to tweak this based on your size needs, but this is still the way to do it:
Please let me know if you have any issues implementing the change! 🙂

ParticipantThat’s great news, Simon. Thanks for letting us know! 🙂

ParticipantFantastic! I’m very glad to know that did the trick.
I definitely hear you about a true RSVP solution. We do get a lot of requests for that. If you have a moment, we’d be very grateful if you’d +1 the suggestion for RSVPs in our User Voice Forum: tribe.uservoice.com. We prioritize new features based on the response they receive there.
Thanks!

ParticipantHi, cozette. Unfortunately, what you’re seeing is a bug in the 3.1 release of TEC. Please check out this snippet which should resolve your issue: https://tri.be/fix-for-static-front-page-being-overridden-when-including-events-in-main-blog-loop/
The issue will be resolved in our upcoming maintenance release.

ParticipantHi, brightestspark. With the help of your theme, we were able to figure out the root of this issue. We should have a fix rolled into our next maintenance release. Thanks so much for your help with that!
Since we’re set here for now, I’m going to close this thread. Please keep your eye out when our next update is released. That should resolve your issues.

ParticipantHi, folks. I’m sorry you’re having issues with your time zone, that’s definitely a frustrating one.
Please make sure that you have one of the UTC Manual Offsets selected in the General Settings of your site. Here’s a screenshot: http://d.pr/i/TG3P
Then you’ll just need to remember to change the offset when Daylight Savings/Summer Time is observed.
That should do the trick!
