Hi, Jonathan. Thanks for the reply.

I’ve taken some time to test out importing that event to two different instances of TEC with Eventbrite Tickets activated. Both times, I was unable to replicate the issue you refer to about the date not being pulled in. I’m wondering if something else might be at play here. Would it be possible for you to respond in a private reply with your system information (from the Help tab in the Eventbrite Settings page)?

The map on the Eventbrite side is, unfortunately, not something we have any control over. I suggest that you get in touch with their support if you’d like to pursue it further. I will say that I have heard of other users complaining about the Google map on the Eventbrite event pages misrepresenting the event’s location, so you’re not alone!

As far as our forthcoming update to the plugin goes, it will be launched as part of our monthly maintenance release cycle, which generally occurs the first full week of the month. Hope that helps! 🙂

Hi, pandology. I’m sorry to report that it sounds like you’ve been bit by a bug that shipped in version 3.1 of our plugin.

After updating to The Events Calendar 3.1, some users are finding that including their events in the main blog loop causes their static front page to be overridden. This will be resolved in our forthcoming maintenance release, but for now, please check out this tutorial on how to apply a fix using your theme’s functions.php file: https://theeventscalendar.com/fix-for-static-front-page-being-overridden-when-including-events-in-main-blog-loop/

Please let us know if that does the trick!

Hi, rowandaylor. Thanks for asking about the ticketing.

Unfortunately, there’s no easy way to trade a ticket from one event for a ticket from another. You could either create a coupon code for the customer to buy another ticket with or refund the first ticket and have them buy a different ticket.

Sorry I don’t have a cleaner solution to suggest for you. Best of luck! 🙂

Hi, monkeeboy. Do you think that this length of the event description could have something to do with it?

Hi, monkeeboy. I’m sorry to hear that you’re getting this error.

We’ve heard from another user recently that there may be a limit to the amount of content that the Eventbrite API is willing to pass along. Would it be possible for you to try importing an event with a shorter description and seeing if that works for you?

    Thanks! 🙂

Hi, jhonrath. We’d really appreciate it if you could find a way to get them for us.

We definitely want to make sure that you’re able to upgrade, and if we do have a bug, we would be very grateful for help tracking it down before if affects more users. Since we haven’t heard more reports of tickets not being sent, it’s important that we figure out what is the difference for you and the others who have started threads mentioning this issue.

    Thanks again for your support!

One more thing, Daryl. 🙂 Since you mentioned removing the link between the tickets and your events, if you would like to remove the ticket box from all of your event pages, you can use this code in your theme’s functions.php:

    remove_action('tribe_events_single_event_after_the_meta', array(TribeWooTickets::get_instance(), 'front_end_tickets_form'));

    Hope that helps!

Hi, Daryl. As I understand it, you’re trying to display your tickets in a WooCommerce page.

Unfortunately, as that’s not the designed behavior of our plugin, that’s beyond the scope of what we can realistically support in our forum. We just don’t have the expertise on modifying WooCommerce products for display in the Shop. 🙁

As I mentioned before, since you’re using WooCommerce, I would recommend getting in touch with WooThemes directly. They’re likely to be able to help you.

You’re also welcome to check out our technical documentation, linked in the sidebar, for detailed information about our plugins and how they work.

Sorry I can’t offer you more detailed advice on how to do this. Best of luck! 🙂

Hi, jhonrath. Thanks for taking the time to report all that. I think that there may be something going on, but to do further troubleshooting, we’ll need to verify what’s happening with the emails being sent from your site.

Would it be possible to ask your host if they can log the outbound emails from your site? Then, if you place a mock order where a ticket email should be sent and then get the log from the host, that would let us establish what’s going on.

    Thank you! 🙂

Hi, Daryl. Thanks for getting in touch about your customization.

I’m sorry, but we can’t view anything at that URL. Please let us know when it’s live and we’ll be happy to take a look.

    Thanks!

Hi, Daryl. It looks like you’re aiming to customize the WooCommerce Products page, which is not part of The Events Calendar or WooCommerce Tickets.

Please contact WooThemes’s Ninjas for support on using their products. I’m sure they’ll be happy to help you out. 🙂

    Thanks!

Hi, jhonrath. Sorry to hear that you’re having issue with your WooCommerce Tickets installation.

I’m afraid that we aren’t familiar with situation where a sale was completing successfully, but the customer never received the tickets email. Would you mind running us through which troubleshooting steps you’ve already been through, along with their results.

    Thanks! 🙂
