drop down menu disappears on calendar and goes behind calendar

Two problems on my site, the dropdown menu disappears when I try to mouse-over it on calendar pages (both calendar & event details page). I can select the first dropdown but nothing after that.
Second problem is that the menu goes behind the content only on these pages.

I figured out that this is me, not you. caused by opacity settings on my drop-downs. thanks
