MemberHi marcosnoy,
I notice you are using ‘pathinfo’ style permalinks (ie, they contain index.php) – are you able to set up and use regular pretty permalinks?
Barry
MemberHi Chris,
It’s easiest to have a single thread for each issue – so let’s deal with the removal of venue details from single events here and if you could create a new thread re additional field labels that would be great.
Regarding the venue section, do you wish to remove the venue address and the map (if applicable) or just one or the other?

MemberThanks Andy, I’ll log that and put it forward for consideration š

MemberHi Djio, reopened at your request! Can you confirm if the problem is the same / if there is anything else we need to know here?
Barry
MemberHi wsg,
We are here to help and we will help if we can – however simply posting “This sucks” doesn’t really give us much to go on. Please feel free to create a new thread and take the time to detail the specifics of whatever the problem is.
Thanks!
Barry
MemberHi Djio – for future reference you can simply create a new thread – but yes I’ll reopen the one you referenced.

MemberHi Tracy!
The forums are indeed staffed today but (also for the benefit of others) you should be aware that although we strive to answer as quickly as possible that might not necessarily be any faster than within 24hrs of a thread being posted – also note that we do not typically provide weekend coverage.
iām using a query to be able to put UPCOMING events into my jquery slideshow on the homepage.. but they hide when they were no longer UPCOMING.
It’s very difficult for me to guess without seeing the code: eventDisplay is still in use and upcoming is still a valid value for it – so I would really need a better picture of how your code looks and where and when it is running.
We usually recommend our tribe_get_events() function for this sort of work and, again, that has not changed – so I’m not sure what the problem is but please do share what you can (using Pastebin, Gist or a similar service rather than posting code directly in the forum) and I’ll be happy to take a look š

MemberRemwideco: hi! Yes, you would have to use the new structure – please see our updated themer’s guide for the lowdown on this:
https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-themers-guide/
If you have any other questions please don’t hesitate to ask – though it would be appreciated if you could do so in a new thread š
Tracy: I do sympathize, but we aim to respond to new threads within 24hrs (rather than just a few hours) and though we try to be faster than that – and generally are – there is a limit to how quickly we can get through all outstanding requests for support.
Please bear with us and I promise we will get to your new thread.
Copthall: just checking in to see if you are generally happy with the answers provided by Andy and I earlier on or if you need further assistance?

MemberOK, so just to recap and make sure I’m understanding correctly:
* This relates to Events Calendar PRO, rather than WooTickets?
* You are developing locally and are unable to share a URL where I could observe this (if so, can you share a screenshot)?

MemberIf you can’t post a download link here (which you can do privately and is preferred) then please email it to pro-at-tri-dot-be. You should mark it for my attention and link back to this thread.
Thanks!

MemberHi flaviarusso, we are indeed actively investigating and you have already opened a thread about this – to avoid confusion, since the cause of this may be different in craigkirby’s case, it would be best to pursue this in that thread (in your case).
craigkirby: as above we are actively investigating, and as I did with flaviarusso I’d like to reiterate our full troubleshooting steps as I strongly suspect this is a conflict and want to ensure we have covered all our bases to ensure we’ve got an accurate picture of what might be causing this:
* You should deactivate all plugins except for those by Modern Tribe (The Events Calendar and WooTickets) and of course WooCommerce
* Please also revert to a default, unmodified theme such as Twenty Twelve
* Now test to see if the problem is resolved
* If it is, reactivate everything one-at-a-time, testing at each stage
* The problem may not recur, but if it does please note down whichever component (a plugin or your theme) you last reactivated before the problem returned
Can you run through that and let me know if it yields any useful information?

MemberI’m going to get a developer to look into this, but in the interim it I want to confirm what our troubleshooting steps are just to ensure that you followed them in the correct order:
* You should deactivate all plugins except for those by Modern Tribe (The Events Calendar and WooTickets) and of course WooCommerce
* Please also revert to a default, unmodified theme such as Twenty Twelve
* Now test to see if the problem is resolved
* If it is, reactivate everything one-at-a-time, testing at each stage
* The problem may not recur, but if it does please note down whichever component (a plugin or your theme) you last reactivated before the problem returnedThe reason I want to stress this process is because none of the team can reproduce this – so it definitely sounds like it is either a conflict or an environmental problem.

MemberHi Tracy,
We’d be happy to help if we can – but this thread will quickly become confusing indeed if everyone posts different issues in here.
Could I ask you to post this as a fresh thread?
Barry
MemberThanks for sharing Adam – hopefully the upsides of the new version outweigh the inconvenience of having to update customizations … that is, unfortunately, pretty much inevitable with a major update like this.
Despite the pain it may cause – hopefully temporary – we definitely think the new plugin structure and capabilities are well worth it. If you or anyone else needs specific pointers to get over the hump of updating then please just let us know (ideally by creating new threads per issue) and one of the team will be only to happy to help š
Barry
MemberIndeed it is different, but note that I was referring to the product post excerpt (each ticket is in fact a regular WooCommerce product).
