MemberHi Sandie,
You are welcome to post on the PRO forum – it is indeed the correct place for premium/license-holding customers such as yourself to post issues relating to the core The Events Calendar plugin, so no problems on that count.
I’m still unclear as to what the correct URL is, however – the one you provided when you opened this thread doesn’t seem to be valid. Perhaps you could post it here (and mark it as a private reply)? It would help me to get a better picture of the issues.
I don’t particularly want to have to potentially tweak CSS for version upgrades.
Generally speaking you will not need to, but the exception is going to be major version changes such as this one.
The Events Calendar – and its associated plugins including WooTickets – are not static and they will continue to evolve and change. While backwards compatibility is important, particularly between minor releases and revisions, some number of breaking changes inevitably will occur between major releases.
It doesn’t seem unreasonable to expect it to work out of the box with a WooTheme given it’s the way you implement the purchased WooTickets plugin.
I’d agree that it would be nice if we could make it work out of the box with all themes, however that isn’t always possible. Again if you could show me a live example of one of the problems that would be helpful in determining the best way forward in your specific scenario.
Thanks!
Barry
MemberHi kinichb.
WooTickets needs to be “in synch” with whichever version of The Events Calendar you are using.
Right now it looks like you are using WooTickets 1.0.1 but The Events Calendar 3.0 (neither are actually the latest versions) – so before we go any further can I ask you to try updating both of those to the most recent versions?
Thanks!
Barry
MemberFor anyone wishing to downgrade, please refer to the troubleshooting section of our Frequently Asked Questions, particularly the following entry:
Help! I upgraded, but it’s causing me problems. How can I downgrade to a pre-3.0 version?

MemberHi Debbie: I would encourage you to open a new thread and we can help you with your query there.
When this thread was originally opened – though I do appreciate this may not be immediately apparent (since only the original poster and admins can see all the relevant information) – it was in relation to The Events Calendar 2.0.11.
So to avoid confusion, since your circumstances are probably different, please do create a new thread. Thanks!

MemberIndeed, but past experience suggests it is well worth reiterating the steps in full since people interpret the directions in the checkboxes differently.
Can you let me know what browser you are using – and if this also occurs when you try using a different browser?
Barry
Memberis there a way so the author can reopen the Topic?
Not currently, but that’s an excellent idea for a future improvement to the forum which I will put forward.
@Kineticbuzz – thanks for posting back with the solution, hopefully others will also be able to leverage that 🙂Barry
MemberI’m not really sure if it would or not – it’s possible – but essentially I didn’t want to provide a fix for 2.0.11 if you were actually using 3.0 (or even if you were on the verge of updating, since the fix might effectively then be useless).
Barry
MemberWould it be possible for you to post an actual URL (in case there might be an indication of the problem in the markup or in the Javascript console)?
Barry
MemberHi Jim,
Though you noted you are using the latest plugin that looks a little like what I might expect to see with The Events Calendar 2.0.11 – can you confirm which version you are using?
Thanks!
July 3, 2013 at 3:04 pm in reply to: V3 : How to override tribe_events_event_schedule_details(); output ? #53072Barry
MemberHi remwideco.
It’s definitely worth reviewing our updated themer’s guide, but essentially you have two options.
1) You can override the single event template
2) You can filter tribe_events_event_schedule_details and change it to whatever you want that wayDoes that help?

MemberWe would definitely love to help if we can, as you’re right – it does seem that this or something similar is affecting numerous users. Are you in a position to follow up on my previous request?
can I just check that you also tried deactivating all other (non-Modern Tribe) plugins with your current theme activated, just in case the conflict goes one level deeper and is actually because of something else?
Thanks!
Barry
MemberRob: I tried out the theme you sent across and, out of the box, there is no problem that I can see.
Can you confirm if there are any settings I need to know about, either in relation to the theme, our plugin or both? For instance, what is the value of Events > Display > Events Template?
It’s clearly a problem for quite a few folks so we’d love to get to the bottom of it, but it doesn’t seem to be a straightforward conflict at this point.

MemberThanks for the feedback all – we’re investigating this and will report back in due course.

MemberHi all, thanks for the feedback. That definitely isn’t the smooth experience we were aiming to deliver – so please accept our apologies on that end.
Debbie: a number of big changes have occurred in relation to the plugin’s outward appearance – it could be well worth reviewing our updated themer’s guide but if that doesn’t help certainly feel free to create a new thread and one of the team will be happy to help.

MemberHi Duncan,
There is no longer a Next Event widget – that was removed in 3.0 as people can simply use the events list widget and set the number to display to 1.
Due to that, customizations previously targeting the next event widget may not carry over here. Have you checked out our revised themer’s guide?
https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-themers-guide/
Also my up comming events has decided to number it’s self from one to five for some reason which I didn’t have before, Can I get it back to how it was before without the numbers?
I can’t seem to find the relevant URL, can you provide one and post this in a new thread to avoid confusion?
Thanks!
