Any ideas? It works in Firefox. I haven’t tested it anything else yet.

MemberWould it be possible for you to post an actual URL (in case there might be an indication of the problem in the markup or in the Javascript console)?

ParticipantSame issue also exists on my Virtual Machine in Internet Explorer 10 running Windows 7. It runs in Firefox both in Mac OS and Windows OS. Just giving you some more info that will hopefully help.

MemberIt looks as though the issue may be that your site is served via a secure connection but the Google Maps element uses regular HTTP (and so some browsers are blocking it for security reasons).
I don’t know off the top of my head if we can change this so HTTPS is used for those items (assuming Google support that) but bear with me and I will check in with the team.

ParticipantAh okay, that makes sense. Okay well let me know. I suppose I can put the site back to http:// and force ssl on the cart only. I would prefer to run the entire site secure, OR I could just disable the map option altogether and just provide the link. I just thought the map would be a nice touch. 🙂 Anyway, let me know what you find out. Thanks!

MemberDefinitely. In theory I don’t see why it wouldn’t be possible to make it work via SSL but I’ll need to get our dev team to check into that – bear with us as we’re slightly under resourced over the US holiday weekend but we’ll try to get you an answer as soon as we can.

ParticipantI seem to be having the same issue, but am not using SSL. You can see at http://killingtoncabin.com/venue/killington-resort that maps just do not show for the venue. This was an upgrade from v2 and it was working there.

MemberHi Dave. What I’m seeing on your page is the following error:
Warning: you have included the Google Maps API multiple times on this page. This may cause unexpected errors.
And you do seem to have a Google Map incorporated further down the page (within your sidebar). This limitation comes from Google Maps itself; a possible workaround may be to use a static (non-interactive) version of the map in your sidebar, or else a map from a different service such as Bing Maps.
Another thought is that you could investigate using a plugin like Widget Logic to include/exclude that particular widget so that it is only used on pages other than single events.
Does that help at all?

Member@bmitchellini: one of our developers (Jessica) was looking at your site to identify a live example since she could not otherwise replicate this. Can you share a URL that will let her investigate? Definitely feel free to share the link privately if you prefer.

ParticipantOf course not… but that’s possibly because of the other issues I’m having. This is not as important to me at the moment. I need to focus on my other more important thread with WooTickets and I’ll get back to this issue.

MemberSure thing.

Participant@Barry, thanks. I turned off the other widget for now and it is working.

MemberSo just to update, we’ll be rolling a fix in (for sites that serve pages via HTTPS and also use our Google Maps functionality) in one of our upcoming maintenance releases. In the interim, please do consider adding this snippet to your theme’s functions.php file as a possible workaround.
Thanks!
