MemberGreat: scratchdigital how are you getting on here, did you have a chance to do some testing?

MemberOK, so it may be a subtly different problem in your case. If you can bear with us a little longer we’re just touching base with WooThemes and will update you again as quickly as we can.
Thanks!

MemberHi Daniella, sorry for the delay: can we back track a little though just so I can be sure I understand the situation? In your original post you wrote:
However, if someone fills out the website URL in the Events section it is not added anywhere. How do I add this?
You then shared the URL you wish to add and a screenshot of the single event page. I can see that URL there under the label “event page url” – so it seems to be in place, albeit things have been customized somewhat in the case of your single event page (and the display of meta data in particular).
Is that accurate and if so do you need further help here?

MemberHi creativecollab,
I’m not sure I’ve heard of that particular issue previously, certainly not since the 3.0 release.
Can you try deactivating all other plugins and reverting to a default, unmodified theme such as Twenty Twelve and see if the problem persists? Please also ensure your Modern Tribe plugins are up to date.
Last but not least, it would be great if you could navigate to the Events → Settings → Help admin screen, scroll down and locate the System Information section – then copy that and paste it here in the forum (as a private reply, if you prefer).
Thanks!

MemberAh yes, good find. Can you confirm if that works for you larissa23?
This is a huge issue for many of us.
I can imagine so. The problem that snippet solves is that WooCommerce or WooCommerce Subscriptions sets up stylesheets and perhaps other things on admin screens that it is not responsible for and shouldn’t impact on – such as ours.
Ideally it would only enqueue scripts and stylesheets on those admin screens it is responsible for and I’d definitely suggest reaching out to their authors and highlighting this issue.

MemberWell, we certainly do have a number of further tutorials planned, some of which might encompass an example of this sort of thing – but right now I’m afraid we don’t have anything that I’m aware of – so it would be better to search the interwebs and see what you can come up with.
Since we can’t do much more here I’ll go ahead and close this thread.
Good luck!

MemberHi lifesong,
That’s unfortunate.
In the first instance could I ask you to visit the plugins admin page and just confirm that both The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO are indeed at the correct version (both should be at 3.1) and are both still active?
Following that (if that doesn’t solve anything) can you visit the Settings → Permalinks admin screen: you don’t need to change anything or save anything – just visiting this page should cause the rewrite rules (which dictate the relationship between URLs and, in a sense, specific actions and views) to be cleared out and recreated.
If that still doesn’t help can you post back with system info details which you can obtain from the bottom of the Events → Settings → Help admin screen?
Thanks – I’m sure we can fix things for you here!

MemberHi antoninplusmargaux – please do feel free to monitor this thread but if you need help that is specific to you/your installation it would be appreciated if you could create a new thread of your own.
Thanks!

MemberHi Debbie:
To load custom styles for core views and elements, create a stylesheet called tribe-events.css in the tribe-events/ directory of your theme.
Right – and that’s exactly what you’d do. So if your theme was Twenty Twelve, just as an example, you would create a new CSS file (containing the rule I provided above) at:
wp-content/themes/twentytwelve/tribe-events/tribe-events.css
Does that clarify things?

MemberHi cityofarlington,
Can you take a look at our Themer’s Guide and follow the steps for setting up a custom tribe-events.css stylesheet? With that done, try adding the following rule to constrain the page width:
#tribe-events-pg-template { width: 980px; }Also try adding the following to handle the positioning of bullet points within the list:
#tribe-events-pg-template ul li { list-style-position: inside; }Does that help?

MemberHi digiden,
You could potentially leverage the options in the Events → Settings → Display admin screen and select something other than the Default Events Template.
Beyond that you have two options – you can either customize the Default Events Template so it has the layout you desire (see our Themer’s Guide for the basics of overriding and customizing templates) or conversely you could tweak one of your theme’s templates / make it load an alternative template only when it is showing events-related data.
Does that help at all?

MemberHi Daniel,
It’s essentially the same process as if you were working with any other WP List Table (such as for posts or pages) – however this is really a general WP development question / custom dev question and I’m afraid it’s not possible for us to provide support for that kind of query.
We do wish you luck though – always great to see interesting additions being built 🙂

MemberCan you try an offset instead (ie, instead of a geographic name like Brisbane something like UTC-5.3)?

MemberHi larissa23, we can’t always help with third party plugins but I think it would be worth making an effort in this case – bear with us and I’ll update you again as quickly as I can (at this point, however, that may be early next week).
