MemberAs am I 🙂
I’m going to discuss this with the team – in the meantime can I ask you to post back here with the System Information provided in the Events → Help screen? Thanks!
Barry
MemberAre you quite sure this relates to The Events Calendar? It looks to me as if you have some pressing environmental issues as signalled by the warnings such as no space left on device and failed to write session data (noting our plugin does not attempt to use PHP sessions).
It may be worth addressing those first of all. Perhaps you could try deactivating all plugins and switching to a default theme, then build up from there starting with The Events Calendar and figure out at which point these issues return.
Barry
MemberGreat idea and it would be a worthy feature request – right now though you’d really need to build your own solution (unless you can find an existing plugin/script from someone in the community).
Thanks!

MemberHi alternatewords,
You could certainly override and customize the month templates if you wanted to follow an alternative approach here – please see our Themer’s Guide for details.
I’m afraid however I cannot view the Capture.PNG image you linked to (I see a page reading, “Error 1011 Access Denied”) and it can be pretty hard in any case to troubleshoot what sounds like a possible CSS issue based on a screenshot alone.

MemberWe do have some existing ticketing plugins which could effectively serve this purpose – Eventbrite Tickets and WooCommerce Tickets – and may be adding more over time.
Beyond that you’d have to consider a custom solution.

MemberYou’d certainly need to update Events Calendar PRO in that case. If you are unable to do so automatically you can grab a copy from the downloads page and upload it manually.

MemberHi Marlinda,
This is really the domain of custom development, though I am sure you could certainly save a lot of time and effort by reusing an existing contact form plugin.
I’m afraid we can’t really advise you about this though as everyone’s needs are different and the sort of plugin I might feel comfortable pulling in and integrating might not be something you/your developer are comfortable with – simply because everyone has their own preferred way of doing this kind of thing.
Sorry we can’t offer more on this occasion.

MemberHi Henrik,
Let’s deal with the first issue here – I’d ask that you post your second/third/fourth questions and your request in individual threads, however, as we try to stick to a policy of one issue per thread. Thanks!
I created a single recurring event, over 5 days. There are only 5 records in the backend, but the calendar is showing one instance of the event the first day, 2 copies the second day, 3 copies the third day etc.
So, basically you have set things up such that each instance of the event lasts for 2 months. The first instance starts on 20 November and so will show for all days on the calendar from 20 November until 20 January. Your second instance is of equal length – it will show on 21 November and every day until 21 January, etc.
So this is actually expected behaviour. Of course, if you weren’t expecting this you are probably trying to do something else – can you explain more about when each event should take place?
(For instance, should it be Wednesday – Thursday every week for two months, starting 20 November?)

MemberYou’re right that various components are probably missing and you’d need to take care of setting them up manually.
A possible alternative would simply be to use the calendar widget – you can set this to show a specific category and so could have numerous different instances on different pages, each set to show different subsets of events and you could take things a step further and customize their output to perhaps add more detail per event / per day.
There are quite a few options out there – you’d really need to decide on what you’re most comfortable with and go from there – I’m afraid for customizations such as this we can’t offer too much help.
Good luck!
Barry
MemberHi Dananacer,
That would definitely be a possibility but you’d need to implement it as a customization. What I’d recommend in the first instance is taking a look at our Themer’s Guide and technical docs – however I’m afraid this sort of change is beyond what we can help you with here.
Barry
MemberHi Zoe, it’s not possible to change this using the available settings. If you’re comfortable with Javascript and working with scripts / passing params to customize them from WordPress you might be able to tweak things – otherwise this could be a great candidate for a feature request 🙂
Barry
MemberOK – and just to double check, deactivating all other plugins except for The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO – and at the same time switching to a default, unmodified theme – didn’t resolve this?
Barry
Member@paulpetch: please do monitor this thread – if the solution/problem turns out to be different though it would be appreciated if you could create a new thread of your own. Thanks!
@creativecollab: I just want to confirm that you’re not simply experiencing an expected side effect of editing chains of recurring events.If you have a chain of 5 recurring events like so:
* November 5
* November 12
* November 19
* November 26
* December 3And edit the November 26 instance to make a change – then apply that to All Future Events – the chain will be broken in two, so you end up with this chain:
* November 5
* November 12
* November 19And a second but independent chain:
* November 26
* December 3Is it possible that this is what you are experiencing here?
Barry
MemberHi Andrew – it may simply be the “power” and resources within your hosting environment aren’t up to the job here, particularly if you have a large percentage of recurring events with many instances.
Can you share any details about your hosting environment? What sort of package/server are you using?
Barry
MemberHi Ryan,
A fix is in the works and should be delivered within the next couple of maintenance release. We have a release which should be sent out in the near future – unfortunately though we can’t commit to a specific date.
